《BLOODTHIRSTY》26. A step ahead

Arculus was back to his old self. Cold eyes matching the weather. He didn't want to feel this way. Every second that passed by she was in danger. The demons where in the neighbourhood were Revick was supposed to live. The streets were completely empty, not a single living being to be spotted.
Amdusias was looking around fully on edge. The demon that most of the time was a grumpy asshole only got worse and Orobas on the other hand was the only one using his brains. Arculus knocked on the door, however no one answered. Orobas looked through to window to see if there was any sign of life, however there was nothing. It felt like no one was at home. Which was weird since it was already late at night.
"Why don't we just barge in?" Amdusias asked annoyed.
"Have some manners." Orobas told him while smiling.
"Manners? We are demons since when do we need permission to do anything?" Amdusias asked annoyed while glancing at the two other demons in confusion.
"Our grumpy teddybear is back." Arculus told Zel while knocking again.
Laughter escaped Orobas lips. "Tell me about it."
Amdusias glared at both of them and tried to break the door open. Orobas realised what he was doing and pushed him back. However his attempt didn't go to waste. The brown door cracked open, leaving enough space for them to enter. Amdusias smiled satisfied and pushed Orobas off of him and entered the house. It was dark, however Horicks didn't need any lights to be able to see. He noticed that all the windows inside of the apartment were open. Orobas wanted to stop Amdusias from invading someones privacy, yet it was already too late. Amdusias was opening closets and looking at letters that were splattered all over the table.
"Is it me or does this guy looks like Winter?" Amdusias asked out loud and the two demons walked towards him. Their eyes glued on the picture of a young dark skinned boy. He had freckles all over his cheeks and nose. His hair was a lighter colour than Winters. However Arculus had seen Winter enough of times to be able to tell that this was her older brother.
"It's her older brother, named Gio." Arculus informed them and Amdusias frowned.
"Why would he have a picture of her brother laying around?" Amdusias asked them but they all shrugged since they had no idea.
The weird part was the fact that there were more than just one picture. There was an other picture but this time with Winter. Winter looked about 5 years old while her brother held her in his arms. Arculus wasn't sure what the age gap between the siblings were but Gio looked around 11 years old. All the pictures on the table would be of them when they were kids. Orobas wasn't sure what all of this meant. Keeping pictures in your house of kids that have nothing to do with you was weird, what was more weird and didn't sit right with him was the fact that there wasn't just one. There was a whole photo album.
"So do we call the cops?" Orobas joked around.
"As if they do shit in the first place." Amdusias replies while looking around the house for other things.
Arculus laughed and shook his head in amusement. "That was so uncalled for."
Amdusias ignored the demons and went on with his search. Looking around in every corner expecting to see something, or find something. Orobas entered a bedroom, assuming it was Revicks. The room was completely dark too, however he could see that it was raining outside. The window was wide open, yet not a single raindrop entered the bedroom. Which made him suspicious of this whole situation. Orobas found a ring laying on the bed. He knew from experience not to just touch unknown objects. However he couldn't contain himself.

He reached for the ring and inspected it. Orobas Walked back into the living area to show it to the other demons. Arculus looked at the ring. A sapphire ring decorated with strange words on the side. Shining in the darkness, not able to go unnoticed. Demons eye sight was splendid however the stone was bright enough to make Amdusias cover his eyes for a split second.
"Damn it put that thing away." Amdusias complained.
"I'm trying to figure out why in the world it's glowing like that." Orobas stared at the ring confused.
"The Gemstone, sapphire is said to be the connection between this world and the spirit world." Amdusias answered while covering his eyes.
"Why would he need to be connected? He can't just go back whenever he wants?" Arculus asked out loud.
"Spirits work in a lot of ways. Perhaps Revick is being manipulated or he needs guidance from an other spirit. However the spirit of Faith is not the type to seek help, so I have no idea what's really going on." Orobas informed everyone in the room and put the ring on the table.
Arculus eyes wandered around, there was so many thing in here that were supposed to be normal, or could be considered normal. Yet they had to put everything in question. Think about everything more than twice just to be sure you didn't miss anything the first time. However when he looked up from his eyes was met with a pale looking dude. His hair covered by a beanie, yet his hair was still sticking out on the sides. Arculus had met him before, at the party he went to for Winter.
The other demons in the room noticed him too. Arculus assumed it was Revick. Leaning on the wall right beside the window that had been wide open a second ago. The smile on Revick's face put everyone on edge.
"I expected Amdusias to be snooping around. However I did not expect that from both of you." Revick stared at the two other demons in the room.
"Who cares about what you expect anyway?" Amdusias complained and Orobas glared at the grumpy demon, warning him to shut up.
The smile on Revick's face was still there. "Well look at you being nice as always."
"You want me to show you what my version of being nice is?" Amdusias threatens the young spirit. Ready to bring harm without a care in the world.
"You wouldn't dare." Revick answered while laughing.
Amdusias raised his eyebrows at the man. He tried to approach him ready to attack however this time Arculus held him back. "Can you not pick a fight with everyone you just meet?" Arculus asked him with raised eyebrows, and Horicks glared back at him as respond.
"Either way I don't think this is actually the reason why you are invading my privacy right? Now Tell me what do you want?" Revick asked them with raised eyebrows, already knowing the reason behind their little visit.
"Faith, trust and honesty are the things the spirit of faith does not mess with. It does not lie and manipulate others. Its always honest and will never bring two person together without a reason. What I fail to understand is why did the spirit of faith assign you to bring those two together, and for what?" Orobas stared at Revick while being on edge.
"Some spirits are free to do whatever they want. No one or nothing holding them back and they have nothing to lose." Revick explained however was interrupted by Amdusias.

"They? You don't associate yourself with them?" Amdusias asked curious not caring about the fact he just cut off someone that had been explaining something.
"Some humans pray to the gods and others to evil spirits. Some people believe that spirits love to be praised, they love being put on a high pedestal. However not every spirit you cross paths with are honest and kind. My ancestors have prayed to the spirit of faith, enough of times to have some kind of bond with it. I gained abilities that a mere human is not supposed to have." Revick's eyes landed on the ring placed on the table.
"I have heard about beings like you, I should have seen this coming. However this does not explain why you have been toying with peoples lives. You have to power of bringing change to the future, however one change is supposed to be enough. The spirit of faith does not come back to someones lives twice. It didn't taught you any basics?" Orobas asked this time annoyed. He was tired of being played with.
Laughter filled in the room. Revick looked amused by everything that was happening. "You really think I'm the bad guy here? I'm just doing everyone a favor." He said simply while putting his ring on.
Amdusias raised his eyebrows skeptical. His dark eyes, changing into a red colour. "You guys really don't want me to beat this guy up?" Amdusias asked the other demons in the room.
"No...at least not yet." Orobas wasn't the type to get angry, he liked to be in control and look at the situation with logic. However Revick has been testing his patience.
"There is no need to get mad here. I'm really doing everyone a favour. Winter and Arculus were bound to cross paths anyway, I just speeded things up." Revick informed everyone in the room. Careful with his choice of words since he had three demons at his hands, and one of them wasn't even fully demon.
"Why?" Arculus eyes went back to its original colour. Red eyes staring back at Revick.
"Because it was needed, I can't say anything more. But If I can give you some sort of Advice Arculus. Do not let anyone close to you die." Revick's green eyes stared back at Arculus.
"What do you mean?" Amdusias asked irritated.
"What will happen?" Orobas asked the spirit with confusion written all over his face.
Revick laughed again however his eyes held sadness. Arculus was able to tell something was troubling the spirit deeply. "Or We will all meet our ends." The spirit answered simply while masking his emotions, yet Arculus could see a glimpse of the sadness and guilt. After all the eyes are the doorway to ones soul.
Right before anyone could ask any other questions, the spirit grabbed the demons quickly and threw them out of the window that he had opened. Curse words flew out of Amdusias mouth, yet they still landed safely on the ground. The usually grumpy Amdusias was know more pissed off than he normally is. A sharp pain shot trough Arculus chest and he dropped on the floor. Placing his hands on his heart while grunting. His eyes seemed to switch to his dark brown eyes, however he could feel the pain in his chest. It had been 10 times worse than it was earlier.
"What's wrong?" Arculus could hear Orobas in the background, however he could bring himself to speak.
"Looks like he is dying again." Amdusias stated casually.
"Fuck it's probably winter again." Arculus stood up and glanced at Orobas. "We really have to help her." Arculus stated in the hope the man would finally listen to him.
"We can't, you know that we can't." Orobas was feeling bad about this situation. However if they decided to just step in a place they don't know well, this might do more damage than necessary.
"Let's prepare ourselves first before we invade that place." Amdusias responded and walked away from the group. Reaching the demons that were supposed to stay hidden inside of the Lazarus castle.
Winter woke up in the middle of the night. Looking through her window, wishing she was anywhere but here. Her little breakdown made her feel some type of way, she felt like she had cried a lot. She found herself stepping out of bed and opening the brown door, leading her to the hallway. It was pitch black, however that did not stop her. Winter went down the stairs and wanted to go to the kitchen, however stopped in her tracks when she felt uneasy.
She usually ignored her gut feeling, she would always blame it on her overreacting. However she felt as if someone was watching her, and she was sure it was not Arculus. Winter didn't want to start panicking, but turning around and being met with a figure staring back at her made her scream.
She could feel being picked up and thrown away. Her head hits something hard, and she could already feel her headache forming. The person grabbed her head and pushed her against a while. Regardless of her eyes not being able to see correctly since it was dark, she could see the persons eyes staring back at her. Filled with bloodlust, Winter kicked the person between his legs. She could feel the grip around her neck loosening.
Winter gasps for air, filling her lungs with oxygen. However the man grabbed her again. "You really thought I would let you go?" He asked her, his voice filled with hatred. "You may have him fooled but not me."
Winter figured out it was the guard that got yelled at by Lazarus some hours ago. "L-let me...go." Her lack of oxygen was making it hard for her to breath.
She felt a hard slap on her cheeks. Making it sting, his hand raised again ready to hurt her. Yet she never felt him hit her again. Instead he had been thrown away. She could hear glass shattering around her. Winter looked up to see who it was. The same man she had been so afraid off had shown up to protect her. Winter was confused but thankful.
"Do you lack brain cells my beloved?" Lazarus spoke up making her shiver but she composed herself.
"No, Lazarus my brain cells are intact." She responded and tried standing however her body was hurting.
"So you really thought it would be a good idea to walk around in the castle with vampires everywhere?" Lazarus sounded amused and it annoyed Winter.
"Well...I was thirsty." Winter defended herself, yet she knew Lazarus was right. She should have been careful.
"Next time Winter, you ask me if you need something. Don't make me murder some of my guards again." Lazarus turned away and picked the guard up from the ground and with super speed he was gone. Winter blinked again and the man was right in front of her. He threw her over his shoulder and went back to her room. Placed her on the bed and gave her a glass of water.
"Why didn't you just let me walk?" Winter asked her while drinking from her glass of water.
"Not only did you think it would be smart to walk around at night in a house filled with vampires, you also weren't wearing the slippers I gave you. I didn't want you to step on glass I forgot to clean up." Lazarus said simply and looked through the window. Watching the moon shine brightly.
"Oh...well thank you." Winter watched the man while she was still on edge. Not sure of his next move. She was scared, she was always scared when she was around him.
"I'm not so bad you know." Lazarus turned around watching the human girl he had promised his dare friend to protect with his life.
"Than let those kids out." She tried to convince him but Lazarus just stared at her with cold eyes. His eyes reflected emptiness, she had never seen before.
"I already told you I can't. I have a question Winter." Winter stayed quiet, letting Lazarus carry on.
"Have you ever lost someone close to you?"
"No, not really." Winter replied while wondering where this conversation was going.
"I'm still mourning, everything I have done so far was for revenge." Lazarus let out his deepest secret. Something the girl was not supposed to know, or at least not now.
"I figured you would have your reasons, however those kids you are keeping in cages are innocent." Winter tried putting some sense into him.
"You will not let this go anytime soon will you?" Lazarus glanced at the girl with diamond eyes and a heart made of gold. Winter smiled and nodded her head.
"You can free them tomorrow morning, just be careful and feed them before you let them out." Lazarus walked towards the door while Winter smiled satisfied and thanked him.
"Also-" Lazarus turned around before disappearing in the darkness. "Don't be too shocked when you see my new prisoner." He finally disappeared and Winter found herself being more excited about freeing the kids but she got curious. Who could this new prisoner be?

Bloody Hell
Alan Maxwell has one exceptional talent. He can read peoples body language and micro expressions so well that, in many cases it's not hard for him to fake being psychic. When a foreign agency decides that said talent would make him an exceptional spy, events quickly begin to spiral out of control. With enemies on all sides, and friends that will as soon kill each other as his enemies, Alan will have to put his skills to the test in the ultimate game of cat and mouse. ===I came up with this story in response to a question. I once asked someone why there weren't really any Yandere harems. I realize that the answer to that is 'everyone dies' but thats boring so... here we are. A story I came up with explicitly as an excuse to create a harem entirely out of obsessive psychopathic axe murderers. Or in other words - "What happens to Bond girls when they disappear?"As a warning, there are sex scenes. Its tagged. I'll leave an authors note at the top of any chapter that has them if you'd prefer to skip it.

I hope any and all of you who read this fiction enjoy reading it just as much as I enjoy writing it, and please feel free to comment - I recognice that this will need work and will have things like typos - please feel free to point out any obvious things I forget about or miss out, as well as any typos. Also, feel free to lob suggestions my way if you have any - while I may not use them, they could very well inspire me in some way or another and help me improve this fiction, even if just by a little bit.
