Willow gasped as Rowan punched Hunter. Again. And again.

Willow wanted to clutch over her heart and ask how. How does Rowan still look graceful while bashing on someone's face. Anger was evident on Rowan's face as he pushed his hair back, off his forehead.

"How dare you touch my mate?" Rowan's voice came out low but deep. Every word he said felt so menacing that even Willow felt a shiver run up her spine.

As Rowan was about to land another punch, Hunter, as if snapping out of whatever spell that he was under, grabbed onto Rowan's fist and twisted it. Rowan pulled his hand back, Hunter using this time to get off the floor, that he was lying in.

Hunter, now on his feet, punched Rowan, which he dodged, then Hunter scratched——at Rowan, on his chest.

No one dared to stop them.

Willow's eyes widened, at times like these, it made her regret that she didn't join the karate classes that she should have had long ago. Then she would have stepped in and landed a roundhouse kick on Hunter's abdomen. Call her a hypocrite, but she'd still support Rowan, though it was Hunter with a broken nose and gashes on his lips with a black eye to top it off. She would support Rowan, unless he cheats on her, then someone is going to lose a nose and hair, yes, Rowan would get a Voldemort makeover.

Hunter doubled over when Rowan kneed him in the stomach, while in that position, he pulled at Rowan's thigh, making Rowan lose his balance and fall back. Hunter then landed a punch square on Rowan's jaw.

"She is not your mate!" Growled Hunter.

Willow couldn't take it, so she charged forward, since no one seemed to be making a move. She was ready to use her bag like a baseball bat and she did. She smacked it right on Hunter's head.

Willow almost choked, when Hunter landed far into the restroom, smacking the wall. She stared at her bag and wondered when did she transform into Thor. But what she saw from the corner of her eyes disappointed her. She saw Rowan's hands held forward as if he had pushed Hunter off himself.

But the disappointment misted away when Rowan jumped up to his feet in a swift movement and pulled her in a tight embrace before cupping her cheek.

"Are you okay?" Rowan's eyes were searching everywhere on her face. "Did he do anything to you? Did he touch you anywhere?" At that Rowan threw the dirtiest glare at his shoulder where Hunter was now already standing on his feet, Willow felt like he had just taken his sweet time swimming in a pool called anger.

"I'm fine." Willow whispered as she peeked over Rowan's shoulder at Hunter who was charging forward like a mad bull. Willow wondered if he had missed his medicine in the morning. The way he was acting was so unlike the normal Hunter, who had a blank face most of the time or a scowl whenever their eyes meet. "Can we leave?"

Just then Hunter threw punch at Rowan, making Willow feel that Hunter was such a backstabber. Rowan spun just in time to avoid the punch.

But unlike earlier, the onlookers, who were acting like they had just had a staring contest with Medusa, moved. Or atleast some of them.

JR went over to restraint Hunter and Jason soon followed. Felix, came over, reluctantly, but what shocked Willow was what he was holding in his hand.

Willow raised her brows at the empty popcorn packet.

"What?" Felix didn't even look guilty. "I was enjoying myself."

"Where did you get that?" Willow asked as she dragged Rowan out of the bathroom.

Everyone made way for them, as if scared at what Rowan might do to them. But before they could step out of the restroom they bumped into Triple. Just what Willow was waiting for.

Triple, who would have normally glared and called Willow ugly and that he would never want her, was awestruck when she stared at Rowan, just like on the day that she first met Rowan. Willow didn't like how Triple seemed to be eye raping Rowan. Wasn't she Hunter's girlfriend? She might even be his mate, then why was she looking at Willow's mate like that.

But before Willow could share a piece of her mind with Triple, she heard the voice of someone she'd been hoping not to hear.

"What is happening here?" And here comes the Principal. Willow was sure he'd put Rowan in trouble, because Hunter was the Alpha, who everyone bowed to. Even though Rowan was the crown Prince, but not many were aware of it.

Hunter who was also coming out of the bathroom, paused. Everyone else who had been watching it like they were in the theater, started panicking. The ones outside scrambled to their classes.

"My office—what are you doing here?" The Principal looked like he was about to lose his wig, as he pointed out at Felix.

"Nice to see you too." Felix grinned. "Did you miss me?"

Willow tapped her feet on the ground as the teacher went on and on about Octavian. She wanted to get out of the class and go to Rowan and find out what's happening to him. Surprisingly Felix seemed to know the Principal, he seemed quite familiar with him.

The door to the class opened and in walked the person who Willow had been waiting for, but she was shocked. What was Rowan doing in her class? Shouldn't he be a senior? Was he lost?

"Sorry, I'm late." Said Rowan who seemed to have changed his scratched up tee.

Miss Peony had the look of someone looking at their celebrity crush. Willow was rethinking about Rowan going bald.

"Ah? You are?" Asked Miss Peony. "You must be the transfer student."

"I am." Said Rowan, his eyes meeting Willow's confused stare. He started forward, towards Willow.

"Wait a minute. Why don't you introduce yourself?" Said Miss Peony, making Willow want to tell her to get Tinder for herself.

Rowan paused. "I'm Rowan Kingson."

"That's a nice name. How old are you?" Asks Miss Peony.

"I'm seventeen."

"Oh my, do you have any dream job? What do you want to do after school?"

"Well, I want to be Willow's husband." Willow who was contemplating on throwing her fat World History book at Miss Peony, doubled over, choking.

The classroom was filled with gasps. Rowan, with a small smirk on his face, started towards Willow and to the seat beside hers. But he didn't stay there, instead he scooted his table to hers and sat down in the chair.

Silence engulfed the air. "Mr. Kingson, you can't move the table."

"But I want to sit beside my wifey." Said Rowan as he laced their hands together. Willow turned scarlet, but she herself felt happy so who was she to complain?

Willow was now sure that she was turning into a hypocrite. All these years she had been complained about couples who do shameless PDA, now isn't that the exact thing that Rowan is doing?

"But you can't."

"Why not? I already spent enough time away from her, now I don't want to stay away from my wifey."

"Rowan!" Willow reluctantly whispered. "Stop."

"Don't you want to sit beside me?" Rowan jutted his lip out, looking as if Willow had just kicked him.

Willow felt her heart infinite pirouettes. "I—" Taking a deep breath, Willow turned to Miss Peony. "Why can't Rowan sit here? I've seen lots of girls sitting on their boyfriend's lap during classes, but no one would be telling them off."

Right after Willow said that, she wondered what was wrong with her, she'd never talked back to a teacher. Most of the times, she'll stay invisible, even in the past year, none of the teachers stood up for her, but she knew Hunter's influence on the whole school, teachers included. Now that she found out that Hunter was this big bad wolf, an actual wolf, more like a half wolf, but still a wolf. An Alpha at that. It made sense, but it still stung when the teachers never once said anything when the people behind her used to kick her seat, never once said anything when someone would dump their water bottle on her or when she got notes with vulgar words written on them.

Willow felt Rowan looking at her, he looked as if he was in pain, as if he felt what Willow had went through. He squeezed her hand, which was laced with his. Willow felt panic grip her, and wondered if Rowan had read her mind. She only wanted to show her best sides to Rowan.

"This kind of behavior will not be tolerated."

"Okay." Said Willow, pulling her hand out of Rowan's.

"What are you—?"

Willow pushed his table away, back into its place. She didn't know why but she wanted some space. She was worried that he'd leave her after he finds out everything, even though he had told her otherwise.

"You know what," said Miss Peony. "You can sit like that Mr. Kingson."

Willow didn't even have time to be taken aback. She was still immersed in her worries. She only looked ho when Rowan slid the table back beside hers.

The rest of World History was spent with Rowan calling out for her through their mind link and Willow trying very hard not to reply. She didn't want to talk to him, what if he's doing this out of pity? Or what if he gets tired of her? He was basically sheltered away and she was the first girl he met when he moved here, and there were lots of beauties in her school. She couldn't even put a candle to them.

Even though Rowan did say that she was his mate, but he couldn't be sure till he turns eighteen.

Once the class ended, Rowan shot up to his feet gracefully and pulled Willow along with him, he put her bag on his shoulder which wasn't carrying his bag and grabbed her books before going out of the class.

Rowan walked till he stood outside an empty classroom. Pushing the door open, he pulled her in.

Rowan turned to stare at Willow. "Why?" He asked, just a word, but Willow felt like it held weight.

Willow looked away, not being able to meet his eyes.

"Willow. I'm sorry, I shouldn't have looked into your head." Said Rowan. "But please, please don't push me away."

"I'm not," said Willow. "Pushing you away. It's just—" Willow didn't know how to continue, at this moment being confronted to, Willow felt like she was over thinking.

"You think I'm going to leave you? Just because these immature kids think it's fun to ruin someone?" Willow felt that Rowan was accusing her that she thought so low of him.

"All the people here, they don't matter, only you do. You matter to me, a lot. You are all I can think about, you are all I want to think about.

"If you think that I am only going to accept the best parts of you, then think again. I want all of you, along with your flaws. Nobody is perfect, you should know that we'll work it.

"I'm very petty, and you are a part of me. Them messing with you is equal to messing with me. Let's see if they'd try anything funny with you, it's going to come and bite them in their buttocks."

Willow didn't know when, but her face was wet by the time he was done, she felt really guilty, as she almost choked at how he ended his confession. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have—"

"Willow," said Rowan, moving forward to hold her. "Why are you sorry, you didn't do anything wrong."

"I'm sorry, I don't know when it happened." Willow sniffed, trying to stop crying. "But I think I'm turning into an attention seeker."

"Yeah? It's okay, I like giving all my attention to you anyway. Even if I'll want to stop, it's going to be a mission impossible."

Willow couldn't help but chuckle at the pun though her heart was continuing the pirouettes. Rowan cupped her cheeks and wiped her tears away with his thumb. But Willow pulled back when she felt her bangs move. To avoid making him take notice of her action, she smiled widely at him.

Willow sniffed. "Why are you in my class? Not that I'm complaining. But shouldn't you be in the grade above?"

"I was homeschooled, I've actually completed the highschool syllabus when I was twelve." Who was it that was saying that nobody's perfect? "But I wanted to spend more time with you, even if it's in school."

Willow was flushing now, but thankfully—not really—her face was already red from crying, so Rowan provably wouldn't notice her face going redder. "When did you start watching Hannah Montana?"

Rowan looked taken aback. "How did you know? I only watched Hannah Montana to learn from her, on how to hide your other identity."

Willow rolled her eyes. She stared at Rowan's brows which seemed to have furrowed. Willow touched his brows and massaged them. "You'll get wrinkles."

Rowan caught her hand in his and placed a kiss on her palm. "Really?" His eyes never leaving hers.

Willow felt her breath hitch. "Yeah." Willow breathed out as Rowan moved forward and took her lips in his.

Rowan's lips moved softly against hers as his arm held her close to him. He leaned back against the desk pulling her along with him. Willow pulled back to breath in and felt Rowan lick her lips, which made her gasp then Rowan kissed her again, his tongue inserted in her mouth and brushed by her tongue.

Rowan pulled back and left a peck on her lips before he finally stopped. Willow was left a breathless mess, but Rowan didn't really look fazed.

"So wifey huh?" Willow asked once she had sufficient amount of oxygen.

Rowan grinned. "It's something I found online."

Willow couldn't help but smile as well. She felt that she was worried for nothing.

Though they had missed the second period, Willow found out that she had Rowan in her third class and the fourth though they didn't share the fifth but for the sixth and seventh, they did have them together.

Willow felt that something was fishy. Even she and Melody didn't share this many classes in the three years of highschool combined.

"Wow, looks like we really are soulmates." Said Willow.

"We are. Why though?"

"We have six out of the seven classes together!" Willow looked up at Rowan who remained silent beside her for long. "Did you do something?"

"No?"

"You're lying. Did you hack into the system?"

Rowan was silent beside her.

"On my god. You did not!" Said Willow, her eyes shining in awe. "You know how to hack?"

"Just something I picked up." Rowan shrugged as if it was no big deal as they entered the cafeteria.

The rest of the day swept off rather peacefully. Willow didn't even see Hunter in the school, nor in the cafeteria, since the juniors and seniors had lunch together.

She wondered if he left early, but she didn't sweat over it. She had her attention solely on Rowan and even felt guilty that she didn't give him enough food in the morning, seeing how he couldn't even eat the school food with a straight face.
