《The Solitary Sword Sovereign》Extreme Yin

Will turned around and sighed, "Right. I don't fully trust you. Who knows what you immortals can do."
Bastian raised a finger, "Well technically I'm still a mortal."
Will frowned, "As far as I know, no other mortal has managed to kill an immortal. That's why you are acknowledged as the strongest. You could have ascended thousands of years ago, yet you claim to be a friend of mine who died a few years ago, how am I supposed to make sense of that dude."
"Will look at you, time has virtually stopped around you. So although extremely unlikely, what happened to me is possible with enough Karma."
Will crossed his arms together akimbo, "Still, for the King of Titans to be from tiny little earth is a bit strange."
'If only Will knew what a crossroads world was he would understand me better.' Bastian sighed in his mind.
Bastian sighed, "Listen carefully Will, I will only say this once. Even saying this might get me into trouble so don't tell anyone I told you this, otherwise this could be the last time we meet for a long long time. Now listen closely, go to your local IB, and lookup Silverton Highschool."
That's when it hit Will. There was more than one Silverton school. Since Bastian told him to go to the IB, that meant it was not on earth!
This would explain why it seemed too simple.
'Fuck Modus! He put me into the Silverton region to throw me off course!'
Will cursed Modus a million times with his thousands of minds. It a moment for Will to calm himself. "I understand."
"Good, but just in case Modus finds out because you fucked up, I will hand you something."
Bastain smiled then raised both his hands, with his palms facing the sky. In his left appeared an odd blue ball of what Will could only assume to be…he had no idea. On the other hand was a yellow ball that was both very similar and very different to its companion.

Bastian smiled, "Hard to put into words, isn't it? These two things in my palm are seeds. On my left is an Extreme Yin seed. On my right is an Extreme Yang seed. I'm the only mortal who can possess both at the same time. I've isolated them into a separate dimension otherwise you would be dead right now."
'He brags in a subtle way just like Uncle Bas used too.'
Will marveled at the two clusters of what he could only describe as wobbly light. These things were simply too far out of his league to comprehend.
Bastian continued, "The Extreme Path is when chooses to become either pure yin or pure yang. Your cultivation manual was made by a pure yin master. You possess a two yin attributed intents. Currently, you have the best access to your water and metal gates, which are both yin attributed elements. Water Meister is a Pure Yin Class by nature. I'm sure you know where I'm headed with this."
Will had also been thinking about this for a while. There were 8 gates and Will assumed each could side with either yin or yang. Metal and water were clearly yin in nature. Yin represented nature. It didn't refer to simple thoughts like Yin had to be cold. Many flames were unique yin in attribute. There were even some pure yang necromancers. The extreme path was a path that intended to break nature itself.
Water, metal spirit were yin gates, while fire, earth, and wood were yang element gates. Space and Taiji had both attributes in perfect balance.
Will had five open gates. Of those gates, only the wood one was yang attributed.
Will was more than qualified to walk the path of extreme yin. But he was not strong enough to even begin to train in such a power.

"I've Isolated these so that they won't get exposed to natural space. Pardon me." Bastian flashed forward and thrust the Pure Yin Seed into Wills dantian. It was a very uncomfortable feeling, like someone stuffing food into your mouth while you are unable to move. Will expected to fly because of the force in the strike but nothing happened. He stood in the same spot, looking Bastian unhappily.
"Haha Don't worry, you will thank me later. Even Modus wouldn't be able to give you something like this. Anyway listen up kid, the seed is isolated but I have programmed the isolation to weaken with each increase in cultivation. As soon as I go the first shield will disappear.
A person has to normally be around level 150 or so to be able to stand it a little bit. You are special so I'm sure you Will be fine."
Bastian's attempt to cheer up Will failed dismally.
"Crazy old man, level 150? I'm fucking level 85. What do you think I'm made of?" asked a scared Will.
Bastian put his hand on Will's shoulder and said, "Will, listen, this is very important. First, the seed will need to go through your body and cleanse it, converting it into a pure yin body over time. The first will be the least painful, nevertheless, you should brace yourself. It should only take a week or so, by then the girls would be out. Isn't that great Will? Oh by the way. This Will really hurt, and I mean really hurt. You're a guy so your physique will be a bit more resistant than a woman's. By the time it's done you Will realize that the pain was worth it. Partially."
With each word, Bastian was becoming more and more invisible. The seed's first shield was slowly dissipating with Bastian's existence. The initial pain was like a thunderbolt.
"Good luck. Not that you would need it. Good luck Will hahaha" With a maniacal laughter Bastian disappeared into nothingness. Will fell straight to the ground like a statue that had lost its prop. He started seizing like he was epileptic, with froth coming out of his body. He couldn't speak, but he was still very much so conscious.
In his mind, all he could say was, "Fuck you Uncle Bas!"

Fallen
Hundreds of years ago, the servant god Elsyn declared that they would destroy humanity entirely, explaining it as their duty as humanity’s peacekeeper. When the gods saw it fit to send someone to oppose the fallen servant, Iztris—the gods’ own servant and follower—visits Cheryn. Iztris requests the aid of Alyson and Jacob, the oldest two heirs of Cheryn and the only ones given the gods’ offer of the ‘assurance of victory,’ and the heirs agree. There will come a time when humanity does fall—but none of them would allow that to happen by the hands of a being just as flawed as mortals. I recommend reading the story by volume, instead of by the order the chapters were posted. This story was beta read by Mad Sadie. Many thanks! Please note that some characters use different pronouns depending on the chapter’s view and the speaker. Iztris, for example, is referred to with neutral pronouns by Elsyn (in most cases) and themself, and after being introduced as such they are referred to with male pronouns by Alyson and Jacob.
