May 10th, Sun City

It’s been a couple of days since the Alliance managed to save Maria from her death…this is a special story that occured during Mexico’s Mother’s day…A story in which Alejandro learns about his savior…

“Man it’s so hot…I can’t believe there is so much heat… and we're not even in summer yet…” Alejandro walks on the sidewalk as he heads to his apartment; “Today is mother’s day…it must be really nice to have a mother…I bet Uriel and his family are having a party or something?”

Alejandro walks towards his old building, the one that he almost died on the night of the Catastrophe, 5 years ago. He stops and looks up:

“Oh yeah…it’s been more than five years since I last saw that Angel…”

January 31st, Sun City

5 Years Ago…a powerful earthquake hit the Borderland…

People began to panic, in a blink of an eye, massive wind began to hit the cities with great force, followed by an earthquake, the earth began to split in half, the buildings and houses began to collapse.

Countless explosions caused black outs, people began to run in panic. The earthquake marked a 9 degree in the Ritcher scale and the winds formed tornadoes.

The floor below Alejandro´s feet begins to break, suddenly he begins to fall as the building begins to collapse.

(BBBBBBOOOOMMMMMM)

“AAAALLLEEEJJJAANNNDDDRROOO!!!!!”

His grandpa tries to grab him but fails, Alejandro begins to fall from the 10th floor.

“Am I going to die?” Alejndro thinks as he falls with tears in his eyes.

“AAAHHHHH” Without warning a woman with wings approaches at high speed, she manages to grab Alejandro before he hits the floor.

“Are you okay?” The woman asks Alejandro, he opens his eyes and only sees the silhouette of her.

Alejandro, who is barely conscious, smiles as he says; “Thank you...”

“She was really beautiful...”

Present…

“Oh yeah…I wish I can meet her…” Alejandro walks forward, suddenly, he bumps with a woman. The woman drops her bag. Alejandro looks at it and immediately helps her:

“I’m so sorry…”

“Oh don’t worry dear…It’s my fault for looking at that building…”

Alejandro opens his eyes wider as he realizes its Sister Griselda; “Oh…Sister Griselda, it’s you…”

“Ahh…if it isn’t Valerie’s boyfriend…what a surprise…” Sister Griselda smiles at him. Alejandro panics; “N-N-No…you got it wrong…we’re just friends…”

“Oh…well she always talks about you that I thought she was your girlfriend…well never mind…” Sister Griselda chuckles. Alejandro’s face turns red of embarrassment.

“So mijo, what are you doing here?” Sister Griselda asks Alejandro. Alejandro comes to his senses; “Oh, I was going to my apartment…and you, Sister?”

“I decided to take a walk, it’s been five years since I was last here?”

“Five years? Oh wow…you know this building was where I once lived…it was destroyed five years ago during the Borderland Catastrophe…”

“You don’t say? Tell me more about it?”

“Well…five years ago…I almost died because the floor on my apartment broke…however…something incredible…”

“Something incredible…what do you mean?”

“An angle came down from heaven and saved me…”

“An angle?”

“That’s right…a beautiful angel saved me from falling to my death. She had a beautiful face, and white hair…I couldn’t see her eyes but I knew they were beautiful…”

“Oh wow…that seems to be a great story huh?”

“You don’t believe it, do you?” Alejandro looks at Sister Griselda, he chuckles; “My grandparents said it was my imagination…but still…I know what I saw was real…”

“Oh I believe you mijo…in fact, I was the one that saved you that night…”

“Yeah…I knew you would say…but…” Alejandro stops talking and sees Sister Griselda, he nervously asks:

“W-W-What did you say?”

“I said it was me…I was the one who saved that night…”

“WWWHHHAAATTT???” Alejandro shouts, grabbing everyone's attention. -PPUUMM- Sister Griselda hits his head; “Not so loud mijo, you will attract everyone’s attention…”

“But how can this be? You are the angel? But how?”

“During that night I was in a hurry to see Maria and her family when a giant mana pillar illuminated from distance…it cause a huge earthquake…so I decided to use my wings…when you have the power a saint…using wings is something easy to do…we members of the Order of the Holy Maiden can do that…that’s when I saw you falling from the building…I flew with great speed and managed to catch…I’m pretty sure I erased your memories but still…you remember…”

Sister Griselda wonder, Alejandro is in shock upon learning the truth; “No way…then that beautiful woman was just an old woman…”

-PPUUMM- Alejandro receives another chop in the head; “Excuse me? That’s no way to treat a woman…”

“I’m sorry…I was in shock that’s why…” Alejandro apologizes to Sister Griselda. Sister Griselda begins to walk away; “Well if excuse me…I have to with Maria and the others…”

“Wait…” Sister Griselda turns around and sees Alejandro bowing his head; “What are you doing child…this isn’t Japan…”

“I know…but still…words can’t express the gratitude I have towards you…you saved my life…I will forever be in your debt…and it’s because of you…I am here…Thank you…”

“Hahahaha…don’t worry mijo…I knew there was something special when I saw you that night…”

“Here….” Alejandro gives her a chocolate. Sister Griselda wonders; “What’s this?”

“It’s for mother’s day…I know it’s not much but it expresses my gratitude…”

“Oh my…well thank you so much mijo…where are you going now?”

“I am heading to have lunch with the person I consider my mother…please take care…I will see you soon…” Alejandro runs across the street and waves at Sister Griselda. Sister Griselda smiles:

“What a nice boy…I hope Valerie can see that…I wonder who his mother is?”

At a restaurant…Rosa Gutierrez…Alejandro 's guardian awaits in a table…

“Hello…” Alejandro enters the restaurant and goes to her table. Rosa smiles at him:

“Hijo…what took you so long?”

“Well…I met an angel…”

“An angel?”

“That’s a secret…”Alejandro takes out a box of chocolate that was missing one chocolate; “Here you go…Happy Mother’s Day…”
