"You're getting too big, Bella." "Not possible!" Candles light up in all the stores, Bear! Run!
I inhale as Bella tenses up, "Something's coming!" After a deep sigh, I hear it, a growl between the ringing of the bell. "A bear!" I break out into a sprint, it sounds big as it thuds after us. Bella crawls up my shoulder and hisses at it, "Go away!" The bear roars as I run inside the church, slamming the door behinds us. Candles suddenly light the whole place up, I look for something, a Pew could work! Bella helps me push it against the door. A set of jagged claws slam through the door, and greyish color. I gulp and get the rifle off my back, "Bella! Hide!" Her feet pound away as the bear peeks in with glowing orange eyes, it retreats, then swings it's whole weight through the door. I shoot the few bullets from the gun until it clicks.
I can hear it laugh as it turns to face me, "Cute." Rocks are embedded in it's white fur. I grab the barrel and squeeze it until it turns red hot. I shout, "Try me!" He stands and cocks back a paw. I leap back, but he claws through the wooden stock of the gun. I hold out the rod and he clamps down on it, swings me away. Dust explodes from the floor. It's footsteps pound closer as I emerge from the dust and swing against it's snout. He roars at the pain, but he still seems so unphased. I can't outrun it either. I look up to the cross and apologize for what I'm gonna do. I hop over the pews to get some distance, all while snapping out flames to set the walls ablaze. He gives chase as the bell draws closer. I grip the gun barrel again and heat it up. He lunges for me, I leap back, my jacket finally tears so much, it drops off me. That was too close- His gaping maw hangs over me, he leans down to bite my head off. I scream and jam the rod against his groin. It roars and drops on top of me. I huff at the weight. I hesitate, then let the heat envelop my hand. "I'm sorry!" I push my hand into it's skin and he jumps in pain. I gag as blood nearly sizzles up my arm. He roars and throws me outside the church.

I grab my bad shoulder on one knee. Bella rushes out and the bear gives chase as the church collapses from the inside out. She leaps into my arms and I jump back. Wood beams collapse onto the bear, but it's not enough. He squirms out from under them and I turn to run. "Shit!" I rush through buildings, but he just rushes through their walls like a bull. I snap a flame at him as Bella bites down. With a quick slap, Bella hits a wall and he turns to her. I hop on his back and roar, a fast jab with my hot hand is all it takes to dig into it's back. It roars and slams through the wall, while I ride on his back. I wriggle it around. "Stonekin will kill you!" I roar and he bolts towards another wall, this one's brick. "Die!" He swings his whole weight and my arm slips out with ease. My eyes go wide as my back hits the brick wall. A vicious bear with claws of stone cleaves down at me.
I lean in and scream, stabbing through him with a spear-hand. I wince at the claws etched into my back, we both fall and collapse.

Amongst the groups is the Community, based in Europe, an inclusive group of towns that values everyone, regardless of Talent status. Leading the recruitment charge is Zoe, a powerful technomancer, one of the first generation of Talents. On her adventures, what will happen? Your votes will decide. A/N: I'll update chapters when I get to places where I feel it's right, I don't know where to go and want some direction or would like to have you help with the narrative in some way. Having others make choices forces me to be creative and I think that's when I'm at my best. Keep an eye out for polls in post chapter notes, they usually last 2 days. As always, love each other, and know I am grateful for every single person who reads my works.
