“You, with the Blood Sword, face me” The Black Paladin jumped down from the stand in front of me

“Are you insane! I’m not facing you! I have no fight with you” I wasn’t going to fight someone that hadn’t done anything wrong to me, plus, he was obviously way stronger than me, he just killed a God for crying out loud!

“Face me, or I’ll not only kill you, but your other party members” His lifted his weapon to me, he wasn’t backing down

“What happens if I win?” I knew I couldn’t but I might get the 0.1 percent lucky chance something will happen to allow me to pick up the win

“I’ll heal you and your whole team, I will also kill the Floor Boss over there” He did have a sort of dignified aura around him, he didn’t even mock me for asking if I’d win.

“And if I lose?” Was he going to kill me?

“Nothing, I will leave you and your party here, you will most likely be finished off by that monster, I will not kill you or any of your party members” Arrr, I have no choice

“Fine, I’ll start!” The only chance I had was getting a sneak attack in, even though it might be called cowardly, I didn’t care

*Bang

I threw a grenade seed at The Black Paladin and ran towards him, my MP was still in the single digits so magic was out of the question.

“Not bad” The Black Paladin appeared from the smoke and landed a hard punch to my all ready broken jaw.

“Master Udon!” Miko shouted out

“Try and keep the monster busy, I’ll help out as soon as I can” I waved Miko away and she charged in at the Tassie Devilnoid

“I wouldn’t have so much faith in her, that monster will slaughter her in a matter of minutes, and I don’t believe you can defeat me in that time” The Black Paladin stood over me, he looked down at me with his ice cold stare, blood still trickled down his face from his fight with Neptune.

“I have faith in her because she has faith in me!” I swooped the legs of him, he managed to jump just in time, but that was my plan

“Arrr!” I threw some normal duplicate seeds at him, he swotted them away with his weapon leaving an opening for me

“Knew you’d do that!” I pushed my sword into his shoulder piercing it, blood spluttered into the air and he grunted in pain

“Guh” He jumped back getting some distance between us, I stood up and hunched over, breathing heavily, I was exhausted, I was on the brink of collapsing and I now had to face this OP player.

“Interesting, your tactics are not one I have witnessed before, they are unrefined and erratic, you do have potential but your emotions are what drive you, what control you, you will not get far in this Dungeon if that is what you rely on” What the hell was he talking about! Lecturing me during a fight! His enemy! What is his deal!

“Shut up you egotistic douchebag!” I charged towards him, he just stepped to the side and tripped me over

“Egotistic douchebag? I have never been called that, and what may I call you” He looked down at me, his calm manner was pissing me off!

“Go to hell!” I swiped my sword behind me, he just leant back and dodged with ease, I grabbed a pile of dirt and threw it as his face, he coughed and spat the dirt out of his mouth and rubbed his eyes

“HAAA!” I lunged towards him and managed to pierce his other shoulder

“Ha!” I shouted out surprised I made a connection

“Don’t get too far ahead of yourself” He grabbed my sword and pulled it out of his shoulder, his pain resistance must be insane.

“I thought facing you would be an interesting fight, you have disappointed me extremely, your cowardly tactics and plain stupid attacks are very easy to see, you should be ashamed of yourself” The Black Paladin pushed my sword into me and planted a hard boot into my chest sending me back to the ground

*Bang

“Oh, she lasted longer than I thought, I should have fought her” I turned to see Miko lying unconscious in the rubble of the wall, her left arm was completely shattered, the bone was poking out at her elbow

“MIKO!” I shouted out

“GUGH!” The Black Paladin stomped on my chest and held his Double Scimitar to my neck

“There is much you do not know about this dungeon, Neptune was a mere weakling compared to the other Gods, your interference has not attracted the attention of my God, but I warn you, stay clear or you will be a dead man, there are more dangerous creatures to be afraid of than the Gods” The Back Paladin gave me a firm kick to the chin and vanished, did he just teleport?

“GARRRR!” Thats right Miko! I rolled over on my stomach to see the Tassie Devilnoid walking up to her, she seemed to have cut it numerous times, it was hurt and breathing heavier than before

“Damn it! Whats my MP” I looked to see if I had enough MP to do any incantation

“Huh? 100/140, when did that happen?” Was that The Black Paladin’s doing? No bother in trying to figure it out, I need to try and save Miko, Umi and Serena might be dead already and Vnaa might never wake up, she might be dead herself, damn it! Damn it! Why am I so weak!

“Let them die! Take their cores! Power yourself up!”

That dark voice was back, what did it just say? Take their cores?

“No! They are my party, my team!” I shouted out crawling towards Miko, the Tassie Devilnoid was almost standing over her

“WEAK! WEAK! You are nothing but a weakling! Die! Kill them! Let me take control!”

“No! I will save them! I will save her!” I used my sword as a crutch to help me up

A purple barrier appeared around Miko just in time, the Tassie Devilnoid smashed into the barrier, it looked down confused at what had just happened

I put three grenade seeds into the shadow ball and launched it at the monster.

“Garrr!” It saw the incoming spell and tried to swat away the shadow balls

*Bang Bang Bang

The shadow balls along with the grenade seeds exploded on impact sending the Tassie Devilnoid through the air and smashing into the wall.

“You will suffer for what you’ve done to my team!”

I cast back to back spells, I didn’t have enough time to put my grenade seeds in them though

The shadow balls went off one by one, smashing the monster deeper into the wall, I could see it’s green blood splattering out of the explosion, when it was all done the Tassie Devilnoid was on one knee dripping blood from it’s entire body.

“GARRR!” It looked up and started charging for me, how is this thing still moving!

“Arrrr!” I charged back at it with my sword

*Swoosh

I swang my sword across its stomach releasing a burst of blood, however, it just turned around and gave me a swipe to the back

“Argh!” Lucky it wasn’t it’s shadow claw or I’d be done for. I landed on my feet and swang around charging back at it

“Die!” I dodged its first swing and blocked its second with my sword, I was pushed back across the arena and lunged forward again

*Clang

“Huh?” The Tassie Devilnoid used its claws to block my sword swing, when could it do that! This isn’t because of the bastard Neptune’s power is it!?

“Barrrr”

“Damn it” The monster let out it’s odour breath and i inhaled a huge breath of it, I fell to my knees and was quickly kicked down to the ground

“Argh” It stomped on me numerous times, I could see and feel its warm salvia drip on my face and body, its cold green blood also dripped from his face onto me

“GARRR!”

“ARGH” It used it’s shadow claws and plunged them deep into my chest, it followed through by picking me up and plunging its other claws into my stomach

*Low Stab Nullification Mastery-6/10

“Guh” I spat up a mouthful of blood all over the monsters face, it didn’t seem to care, it actually licked around its mouth tasting my blood, that seemed to fire it up even more.

“GARRR!” It roared right into my face and bite a chunk of my shoulder, damn it!

“Y-you w-wont w-win” I muttered

I managed to mutter my incarnation, the Tassie Devilnoid fell to the ground in a shriek of pain, it withered and shook at the instant feeling of intense pain, I manage to grip my sword tight enough to pierce its head as I fell down, and as simple as that it was dead, my sword plunged deep into it’s skull and it stopped moving

I looked around the arena, I was lying on my stomach, my face full of my own blood, the Tassie Devilnoid’s blood and salvia and now dirt, we may have defeated Neptune via The Black Paladin and the Floor boss, but, we hadn’t won, both of Umi’s legs are broken, Miko has a broken arm and a deep gash on her head, Serena is on the brink of death, Vnaa is unconscious with claw marks on the front of her body, for a child to witness and suffer due to this situation is just horrible, we beat the enemy, but because of me we had not won, these girls truly are better off without me. I saw the guild officials running over to the girls and me, I think I heard them shout out ‘is that Neptune!?’ and then an all too often familiar sense came over me. I had blacked out
