"Okay, girl, time to go and shakedown our youth." Sharon walked into the friend's room beaming with pleasurable and exciting anticipation. But when she was inside the room, she saw the friend seated on her bed, gloomy and seemingly in deep thought, "Kate, you are not even dressed!" She proceeded to the friend on the bed.

Katelyn looked at her in a dull tone, "Sharon, what if you have fun with your guy alone? Only the two of you? I mean, this kind of things are only supposed to be... lovers' affairs. I may unknowingly spoil your comfort."

Sharon stood staring, "My dear friend, have you started doing drugs or something? That you will unknowingly spoil our comfort? What is that even supposed to mean?"

"I may talk more than needed. You know how talkative I am, and it might just interfere with your moment together."

"Kate, we always go to fun joints together, ever since we became friends. We have been going almost everywhere together. And you are not talkative. I know you. It is either you are on drugs or somebody has put such unreasonable ideas in your head." Suddenly, Sharon's mouth gasped open upon a sudden thought, "Or maybe that person is Ben! Did he tell you something? Did he tell you that you usually spoil our comfort? I am going to kill that_"

"No, Sharon. For Christ's sake, it wasn't him." Katelyn got up from the bed, "Ben loves you and respects our friendship. He will never say such a thing."

"Then why the sudden loss of interest? We looked forward to it. We both had great interest in it!"

Katelyn slowly walked to her bedroom's huge window and peaked out in the night, "Today was one of the best days I have ever had in my life." An involuntary smile hovered on her lips, "I had a great time with Lei. It was absolutely incredible and amazing."

Sharon was still at her, "Uh, that makes sense now. Did you make plans or something?"

Katelyn turned to her, "No. We were studying together in our room at the university and_"

"In our room at the university?" Sharon interjected interestedly.

"Will you let me talk?"

"Okay, girl." Sharon giggled amusedly, "Sorry."

"As I was saying, we were studying in the room together, and of course it was our room in the female hostel, then after the study, I don't know what it was- but it was the strangest thing. He asked to borrow one of my course books. The book that he borrowed had the tickets in it, and he found the tickets_"

"I can be able to connect what happened next." Sharon looked at the friend, "He somehow gave you ideas about whether or whether not to go, right?"

"He gave me sense, Sharon." Katelyn humbly pleaded, "I am a known writer and my family is well known in the city. Imagine if... something bad happens?"

"He gave you some sense, indeed! But you said it yourself you don't need a bodyguard. See a good reason you should have one?"

"I don't need a bodyguard because I can handle myself just fine." Katelyn confidently addressed.

"Okay, the bodyguard aside. You know why I want us to go to the concert together. This is going to be my first time at the club, and it will matter a big deal if I don’t go with you. I cannot even imagine you not being with me. What if I get stranded with Ben? What if I am not sure of what I am supposed to do? You always direct me in such circumstances. You have always been my greatest help in new surroundings."

Katelyn now looked skeptical, "Sharon, I_"

"Furthermore, we will be close to each other and always be around people." Sharon desperately tried to win back the friend's interest in the fun they were looking forward to and also disarm the concern she had, "If bad people will be around to do the... bad things, the good people around us will help out. Good people are always more in a crowd."

Katelyn sighed with uncertainty, "Sharon, it really went bad with me and Lei. We didn't even conclude the conversation. I still carry guilt in me_"

"He walked out? Or was it you?"

"No. My aunt showed up. Aunt Mercy, and he excused us."

"Then that is perfect." Sharon cheered up, "At the club, even if the slightest of worry occurs, call him. Make him know he was right."

Katelyn stared in surprise, "I really don't get why your explanation should cheer you up, and why it is factual."

"It is, because I know men. They always want to be right. Give him that and he will forget about all this drama in a click of a finger."

Katelyn couldn’t even hear the friend and her sense. Deep inside, a feeling of guilt was upon her on a person she was not even yet in a relationship with. A person she already felt a great sense of respect toward. It occurred deeply in her never to go against his wishes, especially wishes that were logical and sensible.

"Come on, Kate. Do it for me, for us." Sharon continued pursuing, "Please?"

Katelyn gave her a long look, "And we will immediately come back after the concert, not any time after." She finally made her mind.

"Okay, girl, sure." Sharon got to her and happily hugged her, "Now, quickly get yourself dressed. Ben is waiting sick."

Katelyn forced a smile at her as she walked to the room closet. It didn't occur right to fail the friend. They were more than best of friends who shared almost everything together. But the decision didn't make her feel any better, for a decision in a dilemma always left one still in distraught, no matter which or any of the decisions one chose in the dilemma.
