Death spun backwards, and slammed against the side of his horse.
Huh? Oh! Buddy, that's a great idea. Death exclaimed before he disappeared and reappeared behind the horse.
With a small thud, he landed on the horse's back. The strange animal hardly even reacted.
Uh, you can go now dude. Death said as he patted the horse with the rounded shaft of his scythe.
But, the horse refused to budge. Its eyes stated out into the void. Ahead through reality and onward into true nothingness.
Crash!
The robot slammed directly into Death, and knocked him off of the horse. He even broke Death into dozens of pieces again.
"Ugh, not again." Lulu complained. "I was so close."
The carnival girl held two completed legs in her arms, and a mostly completed arm as well. Nugget was still tucked under her arm.
"Hey, are you alright?" Ted asked.
Sentenza wiped blood from his mouth. "Don't have the time." He said coldly. "You can worry when we're all out of here."
"We've got what we needed anyway. We could just cut our losses." Narissa suggested.
"No way are we leaving my bone bro behind!" Og'drimun interjected.
Narissa shrugged. "Just saying it's an option. Not really anything left to explore here, right? Better some of us survive than no one does."
"What!?! We can't just leave someone behind!" Ted couldn't believe what she was saying. "We have to grab everyone first, no matter what!"
The room reappeared and Sentenza opened fire on the robot yet again.
"She's right." He said.
"What!?!" Ted cried. "You too?"
"I'm not saying we shouldn't try, but throwing away our lives too wouldn't change anything." Sentenza explained.
"You're both crazy!" Og'drimun snorted. "I'm ride or die with my bro. Either we both make it out of here, or no one does."

Narissa rolled her eyes. "Oh sure sure."
"Hey," Og'drimun snapped. "I mean it."
"I said sure, didn't I?" Narissa asked. "Doesn't that mean I understand? Or is that too complex for you?"
"Oh ho ho!" Og'drimun scoffed. "I know what you meant with that. You may have said you got it, but you weren't planning to go through with it at all."
Narissa rolled her eyes. "Oh no. You've seen right through me." She said flatly.
"That's right I have." He said smugly. "My great mind saw right through you."
Ted looked down at Bakade. She was breathing, but looked absolutely exhausted. Worn down like a bicycle tire on the verge of bursting.
This wasn't good. That machine just kept going. And the wolf was out there too. But Lulu, Death, Sid, and Trizel were out there. He couldn't just leave them behind. He couldn't leave them to die.
But, when Ted tried to open his mouth to say something, he felt a big pit in his stomach. Like something was wrong. Fear welled up inside him. He even started to shake slightly.
He didn't want to die.
As he tried to say they should make sure to grab everyone he couldn't help but think about himself. How scared he was to lose his life. To just end. Ironic in its own way.
Soon the fear for his own life overwhelmed the concern. All he could think, despite his attempts to try and worry about the others, was how he wasn't ready to die. He wanted to survive this.
Sentenza glanced over at Ted and then turned his eyes back to the door.
"We're going to get out of this. One way or another." He said firmly.
Hey, thanks! Death cheered.

Lulu clicked Death's arms back into his upper torso. Sadly, his spine was still mostly missing, so she just set his legs onto the horse as if they were riding it.
"Yeah yeah." Lulu waved her hand dismissively. "It's not free, don't forget."
Oh, uh...yeah. Right. Death coughed nervously. I mean....would you consider a friend's discount at least?
"No." She replied firmly.
Worth a shot, right? Death asked as he stood on his arms as if they were his feet.
"Not really," Lulu said absent-mindedly as she continued her search for bones. "You knew what I'd say after all."
Schwing!
Death stumbled back as a scythe slashed down in front of him.
Oops, he chuckled.
Lulu turned to see what had happened, and gave a weary smile. The robot had grabbed Death's scythe, and was swinging it around.
I guess, Death explained, I forgot to put it away when I got hit. My bad.
As the robot raised the scythe up, the room of flesh appeared right on top of it, and knocked the machine down like a rock landing on a toddler's head.
The robot slammed hard against the ground. Sparks flew from its head and a couple plates chipped away from its torso.
"Is that..." Lulu questioned as she squinted at the machine. "Sid?"
As another broken chip fell away, it was clear that underneath the strange exterior, Sid was crammed inside. At least his body was, as the strange machine with how it lacked a head would make it hard for Sid to fit inside standing upright.
