《djinn's child》Chapter 11: first day

As we reached myrim I still felt like I was seeing it for the first time. Every student looked so happy to be there with a face full of joy. I turned to face Yira and Doran both looking at me with a smile. Yira spoke in a quiet tone “have a good day” while both Yira and Doran vanished into thin air. I turned to the school and walked slowly towards it I saw ever student looked to be so different.
As I walked through the hall I saw small groups of four it felt like I stood out. I could feel there eyes looking at me and judging me. I couldn’t help but look down at my hands. Right before I reached my class I thought I saw my skin bubble up. The feeling disappeared as I reached the class we visited last time I was here. I saw the teacher showing a diagram of a human body. I quickly walked in and sat down in the back of the room. Elrin the old teacher pointed at a boy with short brown hair and asked “Where is the central area to gather energy?” I could see the boy sweat. The boy spoke loudly and yelled “the central area is the stomach!”. “Very good but why don’t you try not to be so loud” Elrin said with a light clap.
~ 30 minutes later ~
After sitting there for so long I began to regret coming here. Suddenly a loud clap rang and my attention was drawn to the teacher who was holding a piece of paper. “At that school we use a system called forger we’re every student is apart of a group of four” Elrin said as he looked at the paper he was holding. “ I will call out four groups pay attention for your name” he said as he stood up I zoned out waiting for my name. “Calom, tane, Cazlid, and Mela” The teacher said after a couple groups. As I went to the group I saw a familiar face. It was the boy I helped to kill the serpent. As soon as I saw him he also noticed me. “Hello” said the boy who had answered the question at the start of the class. “Hello I’m Cazlid nice to meet you” i said putting my hand out for a handshake. He took my hand and said “I’m Calom and it’s nice to meet you too” he said with a smile.

“This is Tane” Calom said pointing at the boy who I had saved. “Nice to know your name” I said with a chuckle. I saw him flick his head away and ignored me. “Well anyways this is Mela” Calom said pointing at a girl that seemed a bit younger then me with long red hair. “Nice to meet you miss” I said putting my hand out. She took my hand “nice to meet you Cazlid” she said with a soft smile. As I looked at the group I knew that I would stand out more then the others. In my head the same thought came to mind who would lead our group. I spoke in a quiet voice “I think we should set up a dynamic for our group” as I looked at the others. “That’s a good idea” Calom said with a wide smile. “Who wants to go first?” Mela said Looking at us. “I’ll go first” said Tane with a cocky look. “I’m a swordsmen” he said pulling out a short sword. “I’ll go next I’m a mage” Calom said pulling out a silver wand.
“I’m a mage as well” Mela said showing a large wooden staff. “I guess I’m last I’m a spearmen” I said as I pulled out my silver spear that Doran had given me. I looked over at Tane who was glaring at me. “I guess me and you will be working on the front” I said patting his shoulder. “Yeah yeah get your hand off me” Tane said pushing my hand away. “Can I ask something?” Mela asked looking at us. “Yeah what’s wrong” I said looking at her. “Well how do you know each other?” Mela asked looking back and forth at me and Tane. “No” Tane said glaring at me. “We do I saved him” I said while I knew he wanted to seem cool. “Let’s move on yeah” Calom said trying to stand between us.

As we talked we came up with a set up for our group. “Caz will be the main close up Tane will be the secondary to protect me and Calom as we support from the back” Mela said as we walked to the teacher. As we approached we saw another group leave the classroom. “Hello sir we figured our group out” Tane said with a slight grin. As the teacher turned to face us “ah perfect now that you have that done why don’t you go check out your dorm” the teacher said turning back to the door. “Here these are your keys don’t lose them” the teacher said holding out the keys. As we left the classroom the door slammed shut behind us. “Well that was rude” Mela said quietly. “Well we are all roommates it seems” Calom said grinning. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Tane smile and immediately change his expression back.
“We should head to the cafeteria now” Mela said while walking away. We followed after her I saw Mela pull out a map. “Are you lost Mela” Calom asked looking at the map. “No it should be on the left” Mela said looking to the left. As I looked at the cafeteria I felt drool in my mouth. The food smelt amazing I wanted to devour it. But before I got food are heard a voice. “Hey what do you want Caz” Tane said grabbing my shoulder. “Get me what you think is best” i said taking a seat next to Calom. “What did you get?” Calom asked while eating a pork belly. “I told Tane to get me what he thought was best” I said tapping my finger. “What did you get Mela?” I asked as Mela walked over. “I got a salad” Mela said with a smug face. “Why are you so smug” Calom said Looking at Mela. “Im not smug” Mela said looking away.
“Hey no fighting you two” Tane said as he sat down next to Calom. “calm down it’s not that bad” Mela said sitting next to me and Tane. “What did you chose” Calom asked leaning over to Tane. “Get off me and I got a steak” Tane said pushing Calom. “Oh what did you get me” I asked looking at my plate. On the plate was a green goo with bits of roots. “I got you a plate a vitamin jelly” Tane said with a smirk. “… thank you Tane” I said in a strained voice. “Of course no problem” Tane said still grinning. I looked down at the plate and took a bite it was awful I felt like I was choking on it. “So good” i said forcing a smile. I wanted to throw up so bad. I barely managed to hold it back.
