Seriously, much appreciated dude. Death said as his head was placed back on a mostly complete torso.
Lulu grinned. "Just don't forget your end of the deal."
Yeah, yeah. Death sighed. I owe you one.
"That's right," Lulu nodded.
A small ball rolled towards Lulu. She glanced down, scowled, kicked ot away, grabbed Death's torso with his head on, and dove towards the ground.
BOOM!
The grenade exploded just a few feet away, and covered the two of them in small shrapnel from the torn up rock.
Death coughed, despite not having any actual lungs. After he cleared his non existent throat, he said, Dude, couldn't you leave us be for like five minutes? Seriously.
The robot held up three more grenades in a single hand. As it pulled its arm back to throw them towards Death and Lulu, the portable room appeared to the robot's side.
BANG!
Sentenza readjusted his gun right after they popped back intoexistence. Then he opened fire from within the room. But, he only fired a single bullet.
The bullet pressed into the middle grenade in the robot's hand.
The metal pressed in as the bullet pushed into it. For a brief moment, nothing happened but then the chemical reaction started. The grenade exploded, and the force of the blast made the other two grenades erupt as well.
Before the explosion had even fully enveloped the robot, Narissa teleported the room away.
Phew, Death sighed. That could've been bad for us.
Lulu finished putting Death's hand back together and snapped it onto the rest of his arm. "Yep. Lucky us." She said, clearly distracted.
WHAM!
The two of them were knocked away as the robot stepped through a portal that suddenly appeared behind them.
Lulu let out a frustrated sigh. "I hate when rubberneckers decide to step in and interrupt a project." She complained. "They should learn to stick to being looky Lous."

As the robot turned towards them, Lulu quickly clicked Death's arm into place, and lifted him up.
"Time to show this guy what you've got." She said.
Huh? Me? Death asked.
"I don't see any other killing machines out here." Lulu said. "At least not any on my side."
What exacty do you want me to do? Death scoffed.
"Well, you've got an arm don't you?" Lulu explained. "I've seen plenty of folks make it through their job missing a limb or two. I figured you could at least swing your scythe at that hunk of junk."
She held Death's incomplete body up between her and the robot.
"Maybe give me some time to finish putting the rest of you together." She added.
Death let out a contemplative hum. You know that's not the worst idea...ah! I've got it!
Death snapped his fingers and disappeared out of Lulu's grasp.
Schwing!
Death was suddenly behind the robot, and with one arm he awkwardly swung his scythe towards the machine.
Before he could get a good hit in, the robot disappeared into the portal. However, Death's scythe swung through the portal, and the ethereal object was sliced in two.
Immediately, the robot fell out of the bottom half with a fresh gash in its arm.
Lulu quickly turned away and rushed to gather the bones that were scattered around.
Schwing!
BANG!
BOOM!
The sounds of battle rang out behind her, as Lulu stumbled across Nugget's bruised and battered body.
"Baaa," Nugget's cry was weak and strained.
Lulu stared down at Nugget ad she seemed to be contemplating something. After a brief pause, she knelt down and picked up the chicken. She held Nugget under her arm, and went back to collecting as many bones as she could find.
"You're gonna owe me for this little birdie." Lulu declared. "I don't work for free, and I definitely don't do any charity work."

Feathery Delight
The world has been hard on young Kael. Living his life on the streets, Looking for a way out he tries many things to change his destiny, only to be met with failure again and again. Wallowing in self-loathing, he lives his days without much purpose or motivation. Life, however, had other plans. On a rainy night of watching life pass him by, an explosion suddenly rips our young protagonist out of the bland world he knew. Meeting an old man claiming to be able to use magic, will his life finally change? Will the world finally give him a chance? This is a complete rewrite of my earlier story. Aside from my own personal problems with depression, there were many, many things I came to dislike about the way it was progressing. With the low quality of the earlier chapters, it was in dire need of at least an editing run. Instead of just editing the subpar chapters, I decided to just do it over again and change what I did not like. Please also note that I am not a native English speaker and thus might make mistakes. I have tried hard to find and correct most, but I am certainly not perfect. If you notice anything that is wrong just leave a comment below the chapter and I will try to get to it. My Isekai
For those not familiar with the isekai genera, this story is about a man waking up in an unknown world. The story follows his journey and life in this world, which does not only look different on the surface, but the common norms and values of this world are very alien to the modern western mindset. How will this average western person respond to such a world, and how will it change him. For those familiar with isekai, this is a western take on a predominantly Japanese story format. It draws a lot of inspiration from Japanese isekai, but it also tries to tackle a lot of tropes that might be annoying to the western mindset. The story is not written for young boys as the story tries to take a mature take on some typical clichés and assumptions made by both the typical writer and reader of the genera.
