The machine captured their ‘essence,’ transforming them into ‘energy beings.’
“Sine, what’s happening now?”
“I’m not exactly sure, Dise. We’ve visited trillions of galaxies. Now we’re here.”
“But, Sine, why here?”
“Dise, observe. We’re at the dusk of the universe’s expansion and spacetime.”
“So, that’s it, Sine? So fast?”
“I’m afraid so. It’s the price of immortality—life happens in a flash.”
“Goodbye, Sine.”
