《Fate》~Chapter 60~

Taehyung and Eunji walked to the parking lots to bring their respective cars. Jimin and Y/n were walking together behind them.
"Y/N...Are you sure?" Jimin asked hesitantly.
"Yes, Jimin. I hope this talk remains between us only." Y/n sighed, kicking the pebble on the street.
"Don't do this to yourself Y/n." Jimin looked at the girl expectantly. From her eyes, he could see the girl, and how tolerant she was being. He didn't like it...
Before she can reply anything, two cars sped towards them, stopping right in front of them, Taehyung's one behind Eunji's.
"It was nice meeting you, Jimin. I enjoyed spending time with you and Tae." Y/n bowed a bit and made her way to the passenger's seat in the car in front of her after murmuring a small bye.
Jimin couldn't help but say the same.
After they bid farewell to each other, both the cars drove their respective way.
Jimin's POV
I don't get why Y/n doesn't want to let Jungkook know.
But then again, I don't know about Jungkook Myself.
He is behaving weirdly.
He is ignoring Y/n on top of that.
I felt anger surging me inside over the thought of Y/N crying over Jungkook.
Why I'm getting so worked up now?
I didn't like it...
The way she sounded so vulnerable in talking with Eunji was still ringing in my ears.
Yes, it ached my heart knowing that she liked Jungkook! My bandmate, my brother.
But then again, I should have expected it coming. I knew someone will make a place in her heart one day, other than me, but...didn't
didn't expect it to be Jungkook?
I remembered how Y/N used to talk about her project and...
Damn.
I was so into my trap of feeling that I didn't realize how differently Y/n behaved around him. It's all making sense now...

But Jungkook?
What's up with him?
The letter I found in his room...those words...
I wanted to say something to Y/n but I can't give her false hope when I actually know nothing.
It would have been more good if I could have read whatever was written in it.
but...if what I'm thinking is true...
according to those words in the letter...
Why he is ignoring her then?
"yah Jimin-ah! wake up, we reached." Taehyung's voice made me open my eyes.
He thought I was asleep.
I shook my head and passed him a smile before getting out of the car. When we entered, silence greeted us.
"Is everyone out?" Tae muttered beside me as we slipped into house slippers. We walked into the living room when.
"Maybe one team is still hiking?" I voiced out.
They are still hiking.
They are still hiking!?
"Hold this. I will look in the studio." Tae handed over to me the bag before going into the hallway. The bag apparently had cute teddy bear charms, which he bought for everyone. He bought it when we passed by an eye-catching shop on our way back. He wanted to buy one but ended but buying seven.
(like this but golden-ish and metallic, with a different colour heart for each member.)
Shaking my head...
if they are still out, I can look for that letter in Jungkook's room.
I swiftly made my way to his room. Opening the door, I directly went to his study.
He must have kept it somewhere nearby.
I checked through the drawers, but it wasn't there. Not even between the stacks of paper collected in his cabinet. I spent fifteen minutes rummaging through his room but to no avail.
I was in the middle of the room when my eyes suddenly went to his bedside table.

Bedside...
I almost had opened the door of the bedside cabinet when,
"What are you doing here?" I flinched at the voice behind me and turned around.
Jungkook's eyes pierced my soul when he took slow steps toward me.
"What are you hiding behind?" he pointed at my hand, which was behind my back.
"Ah- nothing-" before I could reply, he snatched the thing from my hand.
"What's this?" His innocence surfaced again as he examined one box after taking them out.
"AH..this is the present Taehyung bought..." I can't thank Taehyung enough for passing me the bag.
"A teddy bear charm?" He chuckled. "But you here?"
"Ah, I was supposed to keep this box here before you came, but I think the timing was wrong." I gave him a sheepish smile.
Hyung is sorry to lie like this, Jungkook-ah.
"Ah!" He exclaimed.
"You must be tired. Go freshen up and take some rest!" I said before making my way out.
I was almost caught.
Jungkook's stare was the same one he gave me in the morning.
I made my way upstairs with only one thought lingering in my mind.
I need to find that letter.

Blue Hills
Nothing had ever felt quite right for Alexander Adamson. He'd worked his way up to a job he could tolerate, a few casual friends, and even a nice little apartment that he could call his own, though it really wasn't. The problem was that none of it was satisfying. It was as though he were going through the motions of a life, rather than having one of his own. Of course, it didn't exactly feel right when he woke up in a strange bed in the middle of nowhere. Nor when he was told that he was now the proud owner and operator of a local farm. A farm that had belonged to a late uncle he'd never known. But with the first train out of town a full 'season' away, he had plenty of time to get used to the idea. Plenty of time, perhaps, to even get to like the strange little town of Blue Hills. I have a discord now. Marvel at my ability to somehow still be antisocial on the other side of a screen! Back from hiatus along with my other fiction. Chapters are on a Thurs/Sun schedule until book 3 of that fiction is completed, at which point I'll be updating this daily. At which point uh.... I dunno what I'm going to do.
