《The Solitary Sword Sovereign》A New Experiment

"Please tell me, Lord Sicario; what do I have to do to keep my city? I beseech thee to be as specific as possible" Will said with his hand on his chin.
Silverton sneered. Keeping the city? The Dragonheart Empire eyed the city the way a hungry lion watched its prey. They would do everything they could to keep it.
'A measly level 50 thinks he can keep a strategic point to himself? Ridiculous!'
No one could see Sicario's face except Will, so they wondered what he was thinking. Sicario had his mouth open but didn't know what to say. Just like Silverton, he was unsure of what to do. However, he alone had been given full authority regarding this matter. He had complete autonomy, and the decision and its consequences were on him. He did not want to seem hesitant, so he spoke after a few seconds.
"Take down the pyramid within one minute, starting now," Silverton smirked at Sicario's words. He was well aware that even he could not achieve such a feat. This was a full-blown mountain from a mage that had charged mana for a significant period of a long time. Sicario used himself as a measuring stick, a minute being the exact time he would need to destroy the pyramid. In other words, for Will to be able to keep Miami, he had to have an equal or greater destructive output than Sicario.
"Damn, a minute's too long. How about 5 steps?" Before anyone could react to Will's smug words, he had already taken action. Water gushed from the ground, spraying into the air. As this was his territory, Will had placed many pockets of water underground for his personal use. It would be inconvenient for others to know about his storage ring.
The water gathered above the group, forming a massive lake, and with a single step by Will, it gushed toward the pyramid. It moved incredibly fast, like a vengeful tidal wave. It was an impressive sight, but Sicaro and Silverton could tell that the wave wouldn't even scratch the pyramid, and indeed, it did not.

'This kid is crazy. Five steps? Does he think this is a movie? F**k this s**t. '
Silverton was unhappy about Will's arrogance and mentally resolved to teach the latter a lesson, the Silverton way, of course.
As expected by the Lords, the wave crashed into the pyramid and parted, streaming past it. Silverton snorted in disdain while Sicario furrowed his brow.
'Something doesn't feel right. That water isn't normal!'
Sicario could sense that Will's water was abnormal, but he couldn't put his finger on it. With Will's second step, the water recoiled and smashed into the pyramid once more with reckless abandon. The results were the same, but this time, the wave had much more force than before.
Sicario narrowed his eyes as he observed the waves that billowed about in wild torrents.
'The waves, they shrunk!'
With Will's third step, the waters bashed the pyramid with even greater force than before. The pyramid shook a little in response!
The smirking Silverton suddenly frowned. He too had finally noticed what had intrigued Sicario.
'The water is decreasing with each impact?'
The water recoiled, slamming the pyramid once more as Will took his fourth step forward.
"Rumble!"
This time, the pyramid shook with an intensity that made the earth beneath them quake. Multiple weak buildings in the surroundings collapsed as if a natural disaster had rampaged through. This time, even Letty and the others had finally noticed that the water had drastically shrunk after the impact. At first, the water had been twice the size of the pyramid, but now, it was only a quarter! The water also surged at a pace that made the weaker users whistle in shock. It only took the water a second to move, impact, and recoil, fluidly striking the pyramid. It was now that the others recognized a crucial observation:

A massive body of water moving at such incredible speeds should cause some sort of wind, yet there was no reaction at all from the surroundings! The only noise that they heard was that of the water crashing against the pyramid, nothing else!
'What is this brat doing?'
Silverton suddenly became wary of Will. In this day and age, although there were still plenty of strange abilities far beyond his understanding, this didn't feel natural. Sicario put his hand on his chin as he fell into thought.
'Could he be using intent? On such a large scale?'
As one of the high-ranking members of the Dragonheart Empire and as a high-ranking user on earth, Sicario knew a little bit about intent, but he was unsure whether what Will utilized was truly intent.
'That's the problem with intent, only someone who has experienced it multiple times or someone who can use it can tell whether it's there.'
Will took his final step during this moment when everyone was in awe. The fifth wave smashed into the pyramid. Most of the people took a stable stance to ready for the incoming impact, but what they expected did not happen. There was no noise, no quake, no explosion, nothing.
The moment the water contacted the pyramid, it vaporized, covering the monument. Within seconds, the vapor vanished, leaving a completely intact pyramid.
"Okay, I'm done. So, Lord Sicario, do I pass?"
Will said with a smile. His hands were placed behind his back while his robe gently fluttered in the wind. His body gave off a temperament like that of a feather, drifting in the wind, unbothered by worldly matters.
Silverton was stumped at first, but he started laughing loudly while clapping his hands.
"Bravo! Bravo! An exquisite failure if I have ever seen one. Brat, who the f*ck do you think you are, huh? Five steps? If I don't teach you a lesson right here-"
Silverton's aura surged as he decided to teach Will a lesson. He felt like he had been taken for a ride. Silverton was a violent and prideful person. Now that Will had failed the exam, he would become Silverton's subordinate, which meant that the latter could do whatever he wanted to the former. But before Silverton could finish his sentence, Sicario's gentle voice interrupted.
"You have passed Solita… I mean, Lord Solitary. It was indeed a magnificent display of strength and skill."
Silverton turned his head to look at Sicario, completely stunned. He had no idea what he was going on about. Noticing his comrade's confused look, Sicario decided to assist.
"Silverton, carefully sense the pyramid for energy; don't just look at its form."
That was when Silverton suddenly realized what he had missed. He turned his head around and focused on the pyramid, only to realize he could sense nothing, no energy fluctuations could be sensed at all. This was no different from a mound of dirt that could be blown by the wind.
As if to prove a point, Will raised a hand and blew against his palm toward the pyramid's direction. The moment he blew, the pyramid was blown apart into dust, carried by the wind.
Sicario walked toward Will, his hand stretched out. "Lord Solitary, welcome to the Dragonheart Empire. We are happy to have you join us."

The Long and Exciting Life of Kreet the Kobold (Life 2)
Kreet was originally a D&D character. Life 1 was essentially her backstory. Life 2 picks up just after the events of the D&D campaign in the Underdark. At first you won't recognize the characters, but bear with it for a couple chapters and the few important points will be revealed. Also I stole a player's character (with his permission!) in the form of Sigmundurr. Also, unlike Life 1, I'll be posting this slowly over time. Right now I'm writing around chapter 20 and I suspect I'm only halfway. Tone may be a little different. ( Cover art by KuroNeko I'm pretty sure!)

Philosophers corner
I won’t say this is a fiction, In fact it’s just things I suppose I need to put out there! Some things might be synonymous to a story, mainly my story. Interesting tidbits I’ve wrote down while high, sad or otherwise distracted in life. Hopefully it’s received well! This is for those who believe they are alone, you aren’t.
