《Legend of the Black Blade》Book 3 Chapter 6

Maxwell frowned as he stood in front of a military base, "Where are your superiors!? I wish to speak with them." Maxwell said.
The base was half destroyed and a great number of men and women were running around trying to heal and save as many soldiers who were caught in the wave of destruction that was caused by the bombing.
“Who are you!?” several guards said, pointing spears at him while several from far away aimed magic rifles or bows at him.
“I am Maxwell McEwens, I am the previous leader of the Golden Lion Army who has established the East Thunder City. Who is the acting commanding officer, I wish to talk with them!” he said, crossing his arms.
“There is no place for a common mercenary here! Leave before we fill you with holes!” One of the guards shouted as they all aimed at him.
Max frowned as he looked around as his eyes suddenly shined a bright golden light.
They all instantly flinched and released a volley of magic rounds and arrows. Sadly, they weren’t up against some random person, Maxwell wasn’t even the same B rank he was before, a year of training as an A rank makes a lot of changes and as he told Logan when he went with him to the desert, after training a bit and cycling the A rank mana through his entire system, his power would rise several fold.
The attacks rained down and with just a small look he just casually sidestepped everything for a full minute, the ground became littered with arrows and holes from the magic bullets but nothing could touch him as if he was a ghost.
When it ended, the dust cleared and he appeared before them without even a single mark of burns or blood.
“I see… this was the main HQ where 3 S rank generals lived but two are dead and the last one is in serious condition… it is even worse with your commanding officers at A and even B rank.” he said.
Suddenly all the soldiers trembled as the golden glow in Maxwell’s eyes faded.
Before any of them could react, air ships appeared on the horizon followed by vehicles.
Maxwell looked and with a small flash of his eye, his face showed surprise. “The airships… that are from the airforce and the vehicles are the navy command transport.” He said.
His voice naturally reached the guards and they gasped.
“Quickly! Someone inform the general!” one of the guards said and several people near the back ran away.
Any confrontation ended and they watched as the vehicles and ships arrived and from them, army soldiers came out and surrounded the strongest built vehicle.
From the airship, the lead ship landed.
The one from the airforce opened and a slightly burned man came wrapped with bandages on his right arm and the clear glow of continuous effect healing magic on his right side.
For the navy, it was a bit worse, a man lacking his left leg and the right knee down along with his left arm from the elbow down was helped onto a wheelchair. He was bandaged and his body was greatly burned.
As soon as Maxwell saw that his eyes opened and his body appeared next to the man before any of them could react.
“This is!” he said.
All the men shouted but Maxwell just raised a mana clad over his body as they pulled weapons as he touched the injured man’s intact arm.
“Don’t resist.” He said and his mana was injected into the man.

The next second, several shots hit Maxwell but they burst out away from the injured man but Maxwell was serious as his mana rode up the man’s arm.
The mana channels were cracked and leaking intensely while a sinister aura filled his body that constantly burned him.
That said, they watched as his arm lit up and the dark aura began to appear from his arm trying to push out the mana that was constantly pushing in.
Soon Maxwell’s mana reached the mana pool and he groaned. He opened his eyes again to properly see and couldn’t help it, “Dear god, I’ve never seen such a horrible condition. If you hadn’t been an S rank, your mana pool would have been completely destroyed.” He said.
The injured man looked at him and sighed, “Stand down…” the man groaned after several shots were redirected away from him by maxwell.
“But sir!” one man said.
“Stand down… he is still an ally.” he replied.
Maxwell worked for a bit and took out some needles while constantly flowing his mana and finally put it through some acupoints but not in large numbers. What shocked them was that black flames began to come out and burn the surrounding area.
“Use healing magic around the release points.” Maxwell ordered.
The top healers quickly began to work and after half an hour of watching, the dark flames were finally released, at least the majority.
Then Maxwell had his mana leak from the same openings to not leave any problems for the general and finally took out the needles.
“There, the demon mana that has been infecting your body and damaging your life force has been mostly released, if you can, you should send some people to obtain high quality holy water and drink some. It should be enough to purify the last vestiges. Your limbs though…” Max said.
“I have already sent soldiers to look for limb regrowth elixir material. Now… who might you be?” he said, with much more strength than before.
Maxwell introduced himself to both the surviving generals.
“I see, you must have come to talk with the top authorities about the future of Eshen?” he said.
“To some extent, me and my companions already went all over compared to the three armies that have been dealing with the catastrophe that has fallen upon yourselves.” He said.
The navy general looked at the air force general and nodded.
“Let's proceed to the surviving general of the ground forces. I got a report that he is in even more serious condition than my own. Since you can do this for me, please save him for the security of the entire nation.” He said.
Maxwell thought and nodded.
The guards that were blocking him were forced to let him in as they quickly proceeded to the tent where the surviving general was.
He was clearly the worst of them all and Maxwell was shocked. He had only seen his presence but his eyes couldn’t get that far with the current situation. Now that he looked, he was shocked by how damaged the man was.
He looked at him with his magic eyes and actually saw the man cloaked in an aura of demon mana.
His mana began to flow and his body shined a golden light. The light instantly covered the area and everyone was shocked when the light forced the demon mana to appear.
“How are you pushing against the demon mana?” the air force general asked.
Maxwell didn’t wait as he began to insert medical needles to let the demon mana escape and began to inject mana into the injured man before he explained, “The mana development method of the Golden Lions was created by the ancient hero who was reborn after the demon lord’s demise. The system of mana development we follow allows us to produce mana that counters demon mana.” He said as he worked.

“You mean holy mana?” the air force general asked. Maxwell was silent for a while and suddenly he ordered all low ranking personnel to leave the tent and used sound isolation magic around the tent. “Well?”
“We aren’t the hero, if a person trained without any holy artifact with our technique, they would be lucky to produce barely 0.5% of holy mana blended into the total system. Even so, it makes our army the direct counter for demons.” He said.
“I see, and what is stopping us from taking your technique and training our armies?” the navy general asked.
“Let me ask you this, do you think the scroll containing the technique will be as simple to obtain as that? First it only recognizes certain individuals as the owner and they are allowed to pass it on. Stolen from them, if they cannot return on their own, they will self-destruct. They do not reveal beyond D rank without the mana of the technique itself. Furthermore, it recognizes the oaths that all golden lion knights do.” Maxwell clearly said.
The two generals just stood silent as the intense demon flames were pushed out by the golden light for over two hours. The healers were constantly healing the general until the last of the flames were exhausted.
When it was finished he sighed and took out his mana and let the healers work for a bit before they were made to leave after making an oath of silence.
They waited about ten minutes until the general slowly woke up.
“W-what… happened?” he groaned.
His colleagues walked forward and explained what little they understood.
“W-what happened… to his highness?!” the general exclaimed.
“They're all dead.” Maxwell said clearly.
Instantly all three generals looked at him in shock.
“We sensed enemies trying to attack us as well but because we dedicate ourselves to continue passing on the legacy of golden lions, we tend to train our sense of danger to extremes. We felt an immense danger and found demons trying to plant bombs loaded with all forms of mana along with demon mana that was giving a single command, to explode. We were able to save ourselves before the detonation and when we arrived back to organize and check the situation… the network collapsed and what happened happened.” Max said.
“Network!” the ground forces general exclaimed.
Maxwell nodded, “I don’t know what happened after that but it seems there was some kind of secret project going on which created something like a world system very similar to what dungeons possess. At the time it is still establishing itself but the magic network was absorbed into it completely and is working. We quickly headed to the capital but everything except the new dungeon was covered in demonic flames. The entire capital was gone along with its millions in population. This includes all presiding senators and supreme court officials much less the royal family. We have checked other cities and they are all damaged to some degree but the bombs were smaller scale but they still attacked every city leader and regional governor.” Maxwell said.
The three men were in shock, they had to reorganize and obtain information from all their bases after nearly dying and being out for hours. The men were all S rank and their ability to resist the bombs was barely enough. The air force general had been far enough that he only got burned and attacked by the expanding shockwave but the other two were less fortunate.
The navy general had been close and the explosion he had curled himself to form a defense which resulted in the loss of the three limbs while the right arm had been the lowest level. It saved his life through the pain.
For the main army general, he had been together with his two companions when it happened and they reached together and all three had been burned together as they tried to combine forces and he barely survived with all his body burned. He had almost died several times as well until Maxwell removed the burning demon flames attacking his body.
“What are you expecting by coming here?” the air force general asked, serious this time.
“We need order, any and all territorial organization is gone. For Eshen, which has expanded over the years greatly, this is even more important because every nation lost their leaders. With a situation like this, the entire continent is going to fall into a warring states period as new nations appear to fill the void and we also have the Dark Empire who struck the entire continent to weaken humanity. Forget just random monster empires, do you think any dungeon collapsed? Strong dungeons have hundreds of S ranks, you can easily expect them to release their sentient monsters with human techniques forming pure monster empires.” Maxwell said.
“You want to create a military state?!” the navy general said.
“In the prime of the golden lions, we ran our own territories, with numbers that dwarfed all nations and S ranks being common and even SS ranked leaders for every main HQ base. I do not know if you know this but the fall of the Golden Lions was a result of two things, an immense continent wide war between the Golden Lions and survivors of the Demon army going as high in strength as SS rank, and the greed of humanity that followed after.” He said.
“The 4th grandmaster…” the army general said.
“Exactly, the golden lions in its prime not only contained the strongest force but the Holy Artifact, the Golden Lion Statue which produced holy water and a holy protective barrier around our main HQ. Knowing about human greed, the 4th grandmaster hid the legacy and possibly the artifact. About three years ago, my children recovered the complete legacy of the fighting art and mana development.” Max said.
Instantly the army general frowned, “Did you not say to his highness that you have achieved A rank through accumulation?” he asked.
“I doubt his highness didn’t already know that I already had this. It is likely Helix, the one holding onto it, already informed all late kings who had died. I had said that to not alarm the political structure of the government. Who would allow a knight’s order once said to police the entire continent sprout their baby roots in your nation.” he said.
They all frowned, the army general had been among the people present because of how big the event was.
“So your objective is trying to get the three army corps to join the Golden Lion army.” the air force general said.
“Yes, you three are likely the most sensitive to it… your oaths to the Eshen royal family are gone. What do you think would happen once the common army soldier realized they weren’t oath bound any longer.” Max said.
Instantly the three generals felt a huge pressure and they looked at one another.
“That is true but what is stopping us from forming our own military state?” the navy general said.
“Nothing… I am just giving you another option. It will take about a year or two, sir, to obtain the materials for the regrowth potion. As amazing as that is, your mana channels will be completely regressed to unranked. You will probably take another 5 years to return them to normal as well as repair the cracks and breaks along your mana pool and channels. The other two will be healed by then though each of you have intense damage to your magic systems requiring a good year or two to heal. How much damage do you think can happen in 2 years? The natural pressure caused by S rank humans, the lack of army patrols to prevent bandit raids, even common police forces to retain order. Do any of you, injured S ranks, think you can command the damaged armies to maintain the order without loyalty oaths in full effect?” Max said.
“What good would it do for us injured men to join anyway?” the navy general asked.
“It would allow the army to obtain the rank of knight’s order once more. You will each be allowed to train the original magic technique and gain the mana to fight back against demons.” He said.
“That is all?” the air force general asked.
Maxwell looked at them and they clearly weren’t happy making him sigh. “You aren’t going to become the leaders, we are the old generation and we need to make a path for the young and give them time to achieve this. Also, you each have your own S rank systems, you will require a bit of time to fully adapt to our technique as you rebuild your magic network. I already saw into each of your bodies, the magical structures that once produced S rank mana no longer exist. They were burned by the demonic flames. You will need to regain the necessary pressure and purity of mana to rebuild it all.” He said.
Suddenly, their faces twisted as they realized they truly did have a disadvantage in this situation.
“What is the organizational structure and rules of the old order?” the army general suddenly asked.
“Wha! You aren’t thinking!?” the air force general said.
“I want to guarantee that my children are safe enough to sleep at night. The mountain walls around east Eshen keep us locked in but the archipelago and West Eshen are opened to navy forces. If either cannot have forces to stop other invasions then the troubles faced are not few for my family.” He said.
Maxwell smiled and took out the book for rules, “This is the book of the order’s rules. Created, and with very few changes since its creation, by the hero and the gods of knighthood themselves. You may each take your time to read through. They are organized by adventurer rank and you make the oaths as you go up the ranks. As for military organization, that is loose and we adapt to the times when needed.” he said.
The air force general took it and from the first page he began to read it.
They remained for nearly a day to go through the books. The army general took an elixir but the effect was still quite harsh but it allowed him to regain energy and could move.
At the end they were quite silent.
“What are your plans towards the military state? How do you plan to make laws and orders?” the navy general asked.
“We will gather any surviving judges and people with law based professions who knew the laws of the Eshen government. From these people, we will first rebuild the judicial and legislative branches. The Order would represent the executive and highest order of branches. Policing and military forces would be organized and commanded by the military because these are not times that the legislative or judicial orders can take command. After that we need to get the soldiers properly under the oath of the order unless they start to take military grade weaponry and start to commit banditry. After that we need to quickly check all military bases and gather any surviving armament to prevent others from getting weapons. What is left is retraining them to follow the commands and learn the fighting art. What we really need are magic craftsmen to make magic weapons that can properly use the weapon arts.” Max said.
“How many members do you have?” the army general asked.
“With the recent recruitment, about 2550 F ranks, 50 recently ascended E ranks, 25 D ranks, 200 C, 39 B and 11 A ranks. If you want to count those being trained, officially there are 16,000 members between monsters and humans. Also, we obtained a secret art to bridge the eternal gap that humans have with monsters.” he said.
“Gap…?” the three said together.
Maxwell grinned, “We discovered how to infuse mana into the human body.” he said.
Suddenly all three exclaimed in shock. “This…” “Impossible!” “H-how!?”
“Can you gentlemen understand why I see the Order of the Golden Lion as the best option for maintaining Eshen’s peace? Although each army took heavy damage, if we quickly act to bring some order back into place we can quickly expand the strength of the army beyond what the previous Eshen government could obtain because the boost of strength from mana infused bodies can enhance combat power from as little as 10% to as much as 50%. Skilled fighters could even jump rank to fight stronger ranked enemies. This is the trump card that Eshen will obtain. If we fix up the nation fast enough, we might also be able to become one of the nations who expand alongside the four surviving nations from this attack alongside the dark empire.” he said.
This time, the three men felt intense emotion. The fall of a royal family but the rise of a powerful Military nation in the earliest stages of warring states is an intense period but also the one when expansion was easiest.
However, Maxwell’s face darkened and also explained some dangers.
“The network did not fall as the Dark empire desired, the entire world now knows that Nuntip is basically gone with weak governmental control over the territories. The biggest danger beyond just the dark empire is foreign powers. You cannot tell me that the three damaged armies can withstand foreign powers while defending native troubles. Can you?” he asked.
Instantly, the three men felt their hair stand on ends. “This is… this is a true disaster. How are we even going to gather power from the chaos to grow?” the army general said, suddenly unmotivated.
“Possessing a land which contains order and prosperity will always attract people. This is what we need to quickly aim for. If you men agree, I am sure that at least 70% of the three remaining armies will follow. The numbers would quickly rise up to the hundred thousands and we can quickly start reorganization of the existing territories. After that we can expand once our military organization has been repaired.” Max said.
The three frowned a bit before the air force general stood, “On the condition that our word still carries weight, we will agree.” He said.
“Alright but as the previous leader, I can agree. You will have as much weight as the other A ranks but be aware, you cannot do anything to my daughter, the current leader much less try to remove her from her position. This is regarded as treason protected directly by the Oaths. The change of leader can only be done by the current generation and only through challenge and combat. Furthermore, only by someone of equal status, in other words, a leader who is generally B rank. As that position is only occupied by the current children of the B ranks and above, only they can presently fight for it.” He said.
“What of the B rank and above army men?” the army general asked.
“They have to train our technique to B rank to obtain leadership status if they desire that chance. The oath altar does not permit anyone training foreign forms of mana techniques from becoming leaders unless they put the effort to train our method. This includes you three.” he said.
They understood the conditions, an oath altar did not follow their rules, it followed the rules which they were built upon long ago so Max had no control over them.
The three looked at one another and returned the rules, “Give us about a day, we will need to speak with the surviving A and B ranks. Breaking battalions and such things would be difficult for us because there is a large synergy among the soldiers.” the army general said.
“I understand but there is no need to break it. I don’t think the young generation would be able to control so many at once either but we can still make a great organizational shuffle to those who lose commanding officers. Please don’t waste too much time, the more time that passes, the more chance it gives for hidden criminal organizations to organize their people and have things go to hell.” Max said and left them to deliberate.
They followed him to the entrance of the tent and only returned inside once they saw him leave the tent. They all turned serious as the air force general sent a call to all air force, navy and army soldiers of A and B rank. Every base was to gather up all remaining working weapons, armor and weaponry and proceed to this one.
The movement was pretty big, the biggest trouble was the many injured people and the air force sent the remaining airships to safely transport the injured to east eshen territory and quickly called a meeting of the high ranking army officials of all three branches of armed forces and began to talk with them about the Golden Lions.
Many of the very patriotic men shouted insults.
“They want to become kings when our royal family is gone! What right do they have to demand our loyalty!?”
“Right! We should finish what the ancient empires did not!”
It went on for a minute before a roar from the air force general shut them all up.
“This isn't the time to be patriotic to a now dead kingdom. We sent scouts to check the capital, the entire place is a sea of flames that hasn’t stopped burning yet. Only a tiny piece of land around the dungeon has stopped because it has absorbed the mana around but everything else is ash. Don’t think we don’t want to be loyal to the crown we swore loyalty to but you all can feel it as well… the oaths we are bound by no longer exist. The royal family, most branches of legislation and judicial powers, everything was burned to the ground, we three are the last S ranks in Eshen and we are all seriously injured. The army is developed by training and order but we never possessed a centralized mana training system but the golden lions have a direct mana training technique from unranked to S rank. Even if the common soldier does not accept to join, what is important is that we, the top military specialists, obtain a military power to protect our families.” the army general said.
They went over all the rules of the order and the numbers they currently had, their general organization system that is explained in the book and most regulations.
“This… isn’t this basically a book of how to run a nation?! They even have their own special branch for judging and assessing the actions of their own people to keep them in line in case soldiers take drastic actions under the name of their rules!” one of the A rank men said.
“I am unsure of how many of you know of the golden lions, you can easily search it up. At their greatest prime, their limit was not S rank. They even had SS masters followed by 20 S ranks each main HQ. Every secondary branch possessed at least 5 S ranks and minor forts were under the command of a single S rank but they always had the supreme powers in command. This went to show the war they had to fight long ago so that the resurgence of demons didn’t happen even earlier. Now imagine joining this power, the one that fights demons directly and being a part of one of the armies that could honestly rule a continent. The countless crimes of slavery and oppression that is seen in many nations could finally be dealt with by our own hands.” the navy general said.
Suddenly the army men fell into silence.
“What is the first phase?” one of them asked.
The generals turned serious and began to talk about the basic plan that Max had shown them and how the army men and women would be regarded. The retraining of all the weapon arts alongside the mana training.
“It wouldn’t take long for us to match the main force of the current golden lions, us at A rank using the unranked and lower quality methods to infuse the technique into our bodies will take at most 3 years to reach at least B rank and grind away the original mana training method we current possess. Since it is a method of S rank then it is likely that it is higher quality and could process even the A rank mana in our system by B rank. That is the requirements for becoming a division leader. Doing that, each person here would be able to lead their own army division huh?” an A rank military strategist said. “Sir, are we joining or are we trying to take it over?”
“Us old men have agreed that we cannot move against the young generation. This agreement stems to all of you, we are to quickly gain the strength and skill to quickly form a protective blanket for the next generation. If someone among the young soldiers or even our children can become more powerful than the current leader then there are no rules against challenging for command otherwise we cannot commit self injuries to the order.” the army general said.
They all understood the concept, in other words, for them to gain control over the entire order, they would need to train elite soldiers more powerful than the current leadership roles and beat them.
They contemplated for the entire day, going over it all until they finally decided. To provide a safe haven for their families and humanity as a whole, they would join. The deciding factor was told at the end, the knowledge of infusing mana into the bodies was the biggest point that made them accept because it meant that they would be able to match the demons who were all like monsters and naturally achieved this through evolution.
As such, the Golden Lions were called to the East Eshen central military base where the three generals and A and B ranked leadership openly did the oath for whatever rank they had.
They turned to the many other soldiers, “To those who want to join the Knights Order of the Golden Lion and obtain the power to protect your family and fight the demon kind, join now, if you do not, remove your weapons and armor and leave. Go live with your families.” Maxwell said.
With the three S rank generals and the army, a single question caused ripples, “What about our loyalty to the crown.”
The reply, “There is no more crown. We need to rebuild even without it, those who do not have the courage to swear your loyalty to defend humanity itself instead of a simple royal family had best leave!” the Air force general shouted at them.
It took only a moment and about 25% of each of the three branches decided to no longer fight. They would do their best to find a proper, safe home away from the danger and some even decided to go to one of the other continents, away from the dangers of Nuntip.
The rest, swore their loyalty and pushed the Army of the Golden Lion to beyond what any Mercenary army could achieve. With roughly 500,000 active soldiers from the combined force of the three branches, the Order of the Golden Lion was officially reborn.
That said, to the unknowing, it was the three armies aligning their interests and quickly beginning to deal with the troubles of Eshen.
To not stop the momentum, Maxwell went to the Adventurers guild and asked to speak with their S rank leaders if possible and talk about mutual aid, revealing the current status of the Order. The last question was about the Order of Legend Smiths.
When it was all over, he smiled as they began to rebuild military bases and the original 300 members each took their own divisions while the 52 young generation leaders were given the command of new E and F rank soldiers.
At the end each of the 52 divisions had 1466 members while the same division happened for the 300 other members.
In other words, there were now 352 divisions with nearly 1500 members. The leaders all had to teach every last one to train the sword arts as quickly as possible and allow them to properly train the F rank technique.
As for the nation of Eshen, the name was unchanged while the Order quickly called all people who studied law and rebuilt a new capital with the nation’s organization structure in the archipelago away from the burning east eshen area. The island was purely for political structures and it included the new jail which was to be built in the coming years to house all criminals not judged to death.
The sudden reorganization of Eshen eventually spread due to those who left the territory and even the continent, shocking even the Dark empire.
The reborn general was not even paying attention but the puppets all frowned as they saw the explosion of growth and reorganization of a destroyed nation within a few days of its fall.
“We need to deal with this, the other four empires are a pain but their problems stemmed from the dungeons but this is a weak nation barely holding itself together with broken up pieces of an army. We can’t give them time to organize their ranks.” he said.
They all agreed but as they prepared the naval forces to attack Eshen from the sea, the demon general gave a crushing order.
“Send all forces into all surrounding territories. Attack from land, sea and air. I want a layer of territories that will produce food and material. Secure all dungeons instantly! Once we obtain this, we will have the necessary territory to manage our military might with food and weapons.” he said.
The order came abruptly and it filled them with irritation because the most dangerous order to their entire race was being ignored but the self thought and emotions could not transmit and they could only change the destination as the army of several million strong split into four large armies and attacked the four neighboring nations whom had lost immense military strength and had no governing body.
Beyond those two, the surviving nations with their royal families were quick to reorganize their nations. They quickly formed a census to check the amount of armed forces before quickly drafting reserved forces to fill the lost numbers. The training of new troops would take about a year and the emperor's told commissioned magic craftsmen to quickly rebuild the air ship fleets for the next year, they would work under pressure to rebuild part of their military might and when it is done, these previously stagnated borders would no longer remain stagnant.
But where they needed time, there were many others that did not and within this same year, the collapse of nations released beings far more dangerous than just the soldiers. It released Dungeons who have always been under the control of humanity. The fall of human nations truly did bring about the worst warring era that would fill Nuntip and be spoken of for countless years to come as Dungeons began to call upon the sentient monsters who had escaped and the many tower dungeons began to change themselves and buried themselves except for the top floor which became the dungeon’s castle.
Helix was the first to achieve this and quickly released his S ranks to stabilize a piece of what was once the Union empire. For their royal family, just like with Eshen, Helix was unharmed but the same could not be said about the city around him. After rebuilding himself, he walked out to see the castle he would call his home.
“The dungeon will sit at my feet from now on and there will be nothing keeping me from this world. That said… the plans of the gods and the chaos of the demons…” he thought silently for a while before he sighed and took a small golden orb from his pocket. An S rank monster appeared next to him. “This is a restricted containment drop. With the expanded system, it seems the whole world can now support the dungeon’s drop system. Take this to the golden lions. Let them distract the demons for a while.” He said.
“I understand but what if they attack?” He asked.
“They are not capable of injuring you in the slightest. Even if they have S rank figure heads, that is just a momentary thing to control the masses. Until they have full powered S ranks they cannot do anything and they cannot even order any of you around. Make sure that reaches the hands of Maxwell, it is quite vital for the future.” he said.
The monster nodded and took to the air and quickly vanished towards the north where his master had sent him.
Helix looked around and could feel the discharge of powerful auras from all the dungeons, he grinned as he knew that they were thinking the same as him wanting to become the great lords of this entire territory they had been commanded by.
He returned to his castle and rebuilt his dungeon from the top to the bottom and flipped the dungeon so that the strongest would be at the bottom and properly make an underground dungeon that would provide him with infinite numbers of sentient monsters to raise into civilian and army personnel.

He embarks on various journeys and misadventures that -- without his knowledge -- will shake the very foundations of the continent, and possibly reignite his passion as an adventurer, and a dream that he had once thrown away. But little does he know that his journeys will breed great rewards and feats, those of which man could only dream of achieving.
