《Legend of the Black Blade》Book 3 Chapter 5

The Golden Lion Army didn’t directly recruit the nearly 3,000 new monsters, instead, they had them all just make an oath of secrecy to not disclose their technique before they began to teach it to all monsters, humanoid or not.

After that, it was up to the 11 A ranks to organize settlement zones behind the walls that were being built to block monster waves from the dungeon.

Logan didn’t wait as he returned to hunting the rogue monster mercenary groups.

The next group wasn’t a kidnapping group. Although they did surround them, the leading figures were surprisingly cautious.

After some talk the other group lowered their weapons and the leaders could properly negotiate on accords.

Logan openly gave the information on market prices and Nuntip common language that would be vital to these monsters but the leaders who commanded the groups had to account for damages, at the very least they needed to give reasons.

What he said was shocking though, “We were met with merchants who had come to find us directly, he was pretty tall, about 2 meters of height with gray skin and although he tried to hide it, I could see a small growing pair of horns. The merchant himself was powerful and his guard was no pushover. They sold us basic survival gear, food, water at ‘half’ the price given by the villages so thinking we had it good we spent most of our money. It was a week later that we discovered how tricked we had been and we attacked a farming village out of rage. I made sure to not take humans, I had heard many accounts of what happened while in the dungeon when the monster race did that so I avoided it as best I could. We simply took food and stored a lot of water that we could survive off.” He said.

“Grey skin and horns… then you weren’t tricked by a human, that was a demon that tricked you. If you know about the story of the ancient hero and demon lord then you would understand the problems. It was also the demons that revealed the information that caused you all to want to break out of the dungeons. I think I finally get it, the demons are probably trying to stir up as much chaos as possible.” Logan said.

The monsters and people nearby that heard this all gasped.

They were all sentient so it goes without saying that they have at least heard of the history of the world. Although it mattered far less in the dungeons, when they decided to go out, a lot of smarter members did research to know where places were good. A number of them headed to the demon nation while others did not want to be tied down by such a nation that was likely to go to war.

“About your people, I want to see if they are willing to return to my home nation, our army won’t make them fight unless they wish to train to do just that.” He said.

The monster sighed, “That is fine, we have always wanted peace but never obtained the possibility of it in or out of the dungeons. If you can help me pay the accounts that we incurred due to the misplaced anger and help us reduce the troubles, all of us at F rank and myself as well would willingly join your army. We are all fighters who have passed our lives in combat in our dungeons.” He said.

“We will have to see how it goes, the fact that you are open for peaceful resolution is far better than some of the trash I have killed for their disregard of life itself.” He said.

They all headed to the monster encampment and like most of the others, they were in the thousands, in fact this group was close to two thousand counting those who went out fighting.

They didn’t instantly report and went to find another group who sounded like they could resolve it peacefully. The leading group ended up being a lion type beastman.

In the end, he agreed peacefully but he himself would not accept being judged by humans and his ‘pride’ would not accept another leader so Logan had to have a 1 vs 1 fight to prove his power.

The end result was obvious as the man died.

It was a similar result to the first, the 400 or so F rank members wanted to join directly while the rest would join if they desired to once their lives were calmed down.

At the guild, the monster leader that had chosen the peaceful route turned himself in and with Logan they began to try and deal with the problem, talking about the source of the trouble and then how to deal with the problems caused from the constant raids.

“This is truly a tricky problem. We hadn’t accounted for demons going this route and having spread to such a massive scale to cause trouble despite their tiny numbers compared to ours.” The guild master said, having come when the topic reached the demon race.

It was already out of the investigator’s authorization level.

“I have never seen the features of demons before, I had thought it was among the stranger humans. I had once read a strange book of humans accepting monster bloodlines to break free of their common limits even so I didn't feel it was strange that a horned human, that looked like a gray skinned lord, to be a demon.” he said.

“Humans rarely evolve, in fact, in all of history only the ancient hero has achieved a true evolution.” Logan said.

“I see… it would be good if I had known, I might not have passed through such pains.” He said depressed.

Logan sighed, “Sir, how do we resolve this tricky situation?” Logan asked.

“Tricky is an understatement, we still have to account for the raids, deaths and losses that the merchants and countless people incurred.” he said.

“True but I doubt you could account for it if he is simply killed.” Logan said.

“Do you have an idea?” the guild master asked.

“How big is the debt of just this group’s problems?” Logan asked.

This time it took quite a while because they had to account for all the separate raids. The end result was several million Tips putting them in quite a hard spot.

“I am curious, I’ve heard of your group, I got the report that you handled another two groups while no one has been able to honestly track them down.” he asked.

“Oh… well it isn’t my fault that other people are bad at tracking. I’ve learned since I was a child and I’ve even lived a few years in the wild so I’ve put a lot of work into my survival skills. As for how to handle them, our mercenary army is just budding and both groups I dealt with today have been far more peaceful and their fighters wish to join which would greatly help out. Among them is him as long as we can deal with the main problems.” Logan said.

“I see… the Golden Lions…” he said and sighed, “I’ve read about your order, the strongest free army ever created on the continent but your collapse was truly quite tragic.” he said.

“You’ve heard of it, you're quite learned then if you know. That is true, we are the same group and thankfully we have achieved A rank.” Logan said.

“You should be aware of something but Helix did reveal that he returned the complete inheritance to the golden lion to prepare for upheaval. The kings of Nuntip weren’t as gleeful to learn of this but the guild is quite happy. In the past, the guild and the army were like two hands of the same body.” He said.

Logan naturally understood where he came from. Both were free organizations, one was an information network while the other was a free armed force. Both were created by the hero to aid one another in policing the nations of Nuntip and uphold the basics of sentient life.

The guild master tapped on the seat in deep thought and sighed, “I will speak with the previous leader and your current leader to figure out how to deal with this debt.” he said.

“I’m the current Vice Leader of the current generation of the Golden Lions.” Logan said.

“Yes but this is several millions in debt to repay.” He replied.

“Alright then we can call them.” Logan said and took out his communicator and called Maxwell and asked if Olivia was available.

Logan took some time to explain the situation and at the end Maxwell simply stated, “If you are able to recruit any of the D rank monster races that peacefully give in then you are authorized to put the debt in the Army’s name. With greater strength and numbers, we would be able to easily deal with the debts within a few months or maybe a few years when all 52 divisions are all working. This will just get higher and higher as they rise up the ranks so a few millions of debt can be dealt with.” Maxwell said.

“I will try to break a good deal, we are still using a lot of funds to build the town.” Logan said and just received a nod from Max before the communications cut. “Well… there you have it.” Logan said.

“What kind of deal are you talking about?” the guild master asked.

“If you can help achieve it, the time to start paying the debts is next year so that we have a time frame to work with. We are in the process of building our HQ which also functions as a dungeon wave breaker town. It is to become a major city and most of the unranked monsters are honestly helping to repopulate the devastated western side of Eshen. We are teaching them farming so that they can reopen the land. It is already past the prime farming season for the spring planting but next year will definitely be properly planted and the land would already be opened for farming.” Logan said.

“Ah, I see. In other words, you aren’t paying with direct money but products produced by the monsters who looted themselves.” the guild master said.

“In part, the rest we will try and gather money to fill in the remaining portion so that all the food isn’t simply used to pay. Their main troubles are food, shelter and safety. Without those, even humans resort to banditry.” Logan said.

The guild master smiled upon hearing this and looked at the monster, “You are quite lucky that this is the person negotiating. The Golden Lions are and have always been the most pristine of trustworthy men and women. Their oaths are worth their weight in gold.” he said.

Logan slightly twitched at the word trustworthy but he just momentarily let it pass. It didn’t belong in this conversation.

The monster race nodded, “I can tell from your demeanor it is not a normal group despite being small.” He said.

“Don’t underestimate them, how many A ranks are there?” The guild master asked.

“11 A ranks, around 39 B ranks and 200 C ranks, after that is the young generation with 2 D rank, me and my sister, and soon to be 50 E ranks. The remaining number is around 16,000, divided between F and unranked.” Logan said.

Instantly the face of the monster showed shock but Logan didn’t stop.

“We have also recently taken in two previous monster groups which resulted in about 3,000 members, a little less than what we possess now from the current groups. They are being sorted to become farmers but very likely, these same groups will eventually produce new members. After that, the two groups of fighters that joined from the monster groups number 400 and 450 each, so the number is rising slowly.” He said.

He was honestly shocked at the information.

“This is just a small budding army, most armies, when they notice their limit of development in a stage, generally number about 100,000 members give or take a few thousand.” The guild master said.

“H-how many such armies exist?” the monster asked.

“Mercenary armies? I think there aren’t more than about 10 to 20 in Nuntip. Their number count goes between 50 to 80 thousand.” the guild master said.

At this time, the monster finally realized how dumb it had been to try and survive in such a world where there were even unaffiliated armies, let alone proper armies funded by nations, were this numerous and powerful. What had come to their door was a small group of 186 with 4 D rank leaders but any small division of a national army would be driven by B ranks with dozens of C ranks using magical weapons with flying aircrafts that could decimate such a tiny settlement.

“I will try my best to repay the debt I have incurred.” He said.

“I will hold you to it. Let us go to the merchants guild and produce a proper contract for the damages and properly divide the costs. I do hope that you could also incur at least 20% of the losses caused by all the groups you take back. This would at least pay for the many losses brought upon by the constant raids.” he said.

“I assume that they are to help pay for the many stresses and problems inflicted on the kidnapped victims right?” He asked.

The guild master nodded so Logan also agreed that he would help pay to help them resettle.

The merchant guild helped calculate a rounded sum and after some negotiating they finally agreed that the debts would slowly be paid off partially in money, by the army itself, and partially in farm production done by the army funded farm villages.

Logan sent the contract to Maxwell and after about an hour he returned with a few points that were to be changed so that the army would not be so heavily implicated as the points were very damaging.

It surprised them how intelligent Maxwell was towards merchant affairs but it required another round of negotiations until even grounds were returned on the topics and Logan finally signed for the army, as the Vice Leader.

After that they returned to Eshen and the unranked were taken to resettle while the fighters, they were put in the hands of the A ranks to be properly tutored to learn the proper stages of mana development and convert to the golden lion technique as well as learning the fighting forms and properly learn magic and common studies required of them.

Logan didn’t stop at just four groups.

He continued through the nation aiming at all the rogue groups. He worked for nearly two months until all twenty of the most major targets were resolved. This also incurred a great deal of fame for a single group to deal with what several dozen were trying to do.

The difference is that the mercenaries instead became escorts in hopes to fight the monsters while Logan didn’t and went directly to finding their tracks and hunting them down.

Sadly, only six groups were peaceful enough while the rest were run by savage and cruel monster leaders.

There were even non-humanoids and the most dangerous was a massive monster serpent which actually took the combined force of the four D ranks to kill. That was because it was highly poisonous and venomous and the mist it sprayed was a massive hindrance.

All creatures had to clear from the battle field and receive healing aid while the four fought directly and had to rely on detoxification that Jade provided constantly.

The long body was also that of a constrictor and was as massive or even longer by twice the length of Storm’s own body.

It was by far the hardest fight that only ended thanks to Jade, Storm and Logan buying nearly 5 minutes while Jin constantly used his drums to charge a storm overhead and they cleared out just as he slammed down on his dumb.

What descended was all the cloud’s power in a single beam which directly decimated the snake and reduced it to a charred mess.

They had to use medicine and magic to cleanse the toxic mist and poison from their systems afterwards while the monsters were in harsh conditions living in swamps and caves with next to no structured shelter.

They were among the skinniest communities they had found and only the leader was powerful.

When it was dead, they begged for help and willingly joined them if it meant keeping their lives. It was clearly a rather poor group that tried to survive compared to others.

In the end, each recruited bunch had a recompense contract that the army would take up to pay along five years in both money and produce. Those who were peaceful would pay for ten years if needed. The villages were all separately marked depending on the contract so that no one farm village had to pay the debt of another.

In the end, over 2000 monsters and 25 D rank leaders joined.

For E ranks, there actually weren't any because solo D ranks took in weak F ranks to help them obtain resources.

It is basically the same as Logan’s division at this point.

That said, that didn’t mean they were instantly instated into the army, they needed time to properly develop and would have to first process their mana to reach the compression and purity requirements until they can finally achieve the D rank technique.

It was likely that mana wise, their quantity would drop down to E rank once more during their redevelopment.

The most important was achieving the proper fighting forms and this would take a few years to properly learn alongside magic.

Sadly, time was not on the side of Nuntip, or better yet, any continent with the movements of the demons.

With the stabilization of the Dark Empire’s military they finally attacked their neighbors to obtain sufficient land and food, a massive incident happened in every nation and every capital.

The announcement of the empire’s war effort forced all the political figures to gather at the capitals of all the nations to talk about the future and this is what the Dark Empire wanted.

They had long since procured countless materials and using their dark and demon magic to hide in the shadow, they sent countless special magic bombs hidden in the shadows and put them throughout countless important establishments in every nation’s most important political buildings.

Those who felt uneasy or felt the threat of death quickly began to investigate but sadly, it wasn’t a single bomb and it wasn’t only on political buildings.

Throughout the entire world, the adventurer guilds of each continent were each their own organization but they followed similar goals. That was to bring development to the world and the greatest invention has always been the magic net system.

The discovery of how to use magic to transmit signals and capture and reproduce images was among the greatest inventions of all time.

However, not only on Nuntip but in all the other continents except the demon continent which lacked this due to the hardships experienced in entering the continent, the towers that transmitted the signals world wide, even the many protected ones spread throughout the seas, they were suddenly surrounded by an immense explosion from dozens of demonic mana bombs exploding.

The bombs contained demon mana but also all the basic elemental mana compressed immensely. The demon magic transmitted its own signal and fed into all the elements a simple order, destruction. The stable energy instantly exploded and all the elemental power within the surroundings swept out reducing all the towers to dust.

Among the countless nations, only the emperors with S rank and those with a number of sensitive S rank royal guards were cautious enough to evacuate the palace in time for them to escape the center of the blast.

Even so, countless people still evacuating including a number of royal family members were caught in this and the follow up eruption through the capitals that razed nearly a quarter of each city.

It also attacked the central military establishment.

It was an outright declaration of war to the entire Nuntip while the other continents were only attacked at their communication system.

Even mercenary army HQs were not spared, an army of 100,000 was an immense danger to the Dark Empire but among the 20, only 2 were victims of the bombing.

Even the Golden Lions were almost a victim but as soon as the bombs arrived at the city, not only the 11 A ranks but even the 39 B ranks all felt an immense chill in the pit of their stomach and they instantly attacked the sources. They were like rabid dogs and they searched through the shadows like hounds. They savagely beat those who came to plant them and took the bombs and threw them as far into the wild and away from any civilization as possible.

Maxwell himself took all the bombs and released them into the depths of the oceans before quickly running to get as far away through the dark shadows of the ocean.

They tried to warn the Eshen government but the bombs went off as they dealt with it.

At once, 90% of all the empires lost their chain of command and even took immense damage to their military force and their military heads.

It was the greatest mass bombing and it became impossible to know about it as the communication was destroyed.

Among the targets, the central HQ of the adventurers guild was naturally a target but one of the S rank masters of the guild was constantly on guard and just like the Golden Lion they destroyed the demons who came and they quickly transmitted the danger to all guild branches.

When the explosion of the towers happened, the S rank leader felt a danger at the pit of his stomach as he quickly launched out and headed to a special research facility and found only ashes.

“No! T-the greatest minds!” he shouted but suddenly felt a massive tremor. The ground began to part as the research facility area was pushed up and an entrance appeared. From it, the greatest mind of the last centuries walked out with an immensely solemn expression.

“Don’t give me that stupid look, I would never walk in a facility that can’t handle a demonic magic detonation. I’ve studied and even produced similar scales on test facilities to produce safe and secure facilities for the greatest facilities.” He said.

“I-It is good you are still alive. The nearest communication tower is gone and I just passed by several army bases and even the capital.” the S rank guildmaster said.

“The demons prepared well, they likely didn’t just attack here, they are preparing to relive the ancient war but with a scale of human technology in the middle of it all. The war to come is going to be much bloodier than what had been felt. They will secure territory from the destroyed nations to supply their growth but I don't doubt that the other nations will feel the resurgence as well.” the scientist said.

“W-what do we do?” the guildmaster asked.

“If they want to fight, then we will show them how we fight.” he said and walked into the entrance. The guild master wanted some hope so he followed and the building descended and as soon as it opened, he found a corridor. At the end, they entered a huge facility and instantly the guild master’s lips dried because at the very center, going down close to 60 stories of length, a massive tower and it was not the total size because he could clearly see that the sections could extend.

The scientist drew in a deep breath, “ATTENTION!”

His voice resonated through the entire facility and even rang through the countless corridors.

The guildmaster looked at him like he was a ghost, the scientist released an immense power never before heard of in the time that everyone had known him.

Surpassing the guild master, a magical presence of an even stronger S rank appeared.

“The demons have attacked humanity on a scale not seen since the ancient war, they want to ruin the world so we will show what 1000 years of human science and magic research results in! Send the command to every facility throughout the world. Extend the Divine World Network towers! Activate all Heavenly shields until every tower is fully extended and activated. Do not care about mana costs, we cannot let the tower near the demon empire be destroyed or the system will never come online properly!” He roared.

The guildmaster felt weak but soon they felt the ground shake as the ceiling began to push up. Earth, rubble and whatever was on top was pushed up before being pushed aside and opened up.

The bottom most floor began to move while a magical shield formed covering the top.

All over the world, similar things happened as the land around it shook and fell apart to reveal these immense towers that slowly rose from the ground.

“W-what is this!” the guild master asked.

“This is the cumulation of my ancestor research of 1000 years. The divine contract my ancestor, the ancient hero, made with all the gods. A worldly system built to organize the absurd worldly laws. Over ten thousand towers spread through the world except the demon continent where we cannot reach. The system once unique to dungeons, now the world will feel it and usher in a new age.” the scientist said.

The tower rose completely and the shield formed a dome around it.

The most distressed were the demons as they watched the pure white tower, surrounded by the greatest barrier they had ever encountered. 20 magic pulse weapons were attacking it since it appeared but no matter how many attacks hit, it just made the shield stronger as it absorbed the magical power and repelled all physical projectiles.

After the tower was completely exposed, alarms came as the segments began to rise and the 60 story tall tower reached into the sky until it extended a full 150 stories.

Finally, it activated. Mana within the earth and air drew towards it. An amazing pressure filled the entire earth as these towers pulled mana like nothing before it and finally released a powerful eruption into the sky.

At once everyone felt as if something was pulling on their being and it attracted towards the beam that shot higher and higher.

It broke the many spheres of the atmosphere and even surpassed the sphere where satellites were orbiting the planet until it reached the true edge of the atmosphere.

The countless towers may look disorganized if you just see one but if one were to look far from the planet and see the very points they come from then it was possible to see that the location formed a grid. It was complete in a section but everything was accounted for.

Finally the system activated and the glowing points that were pulling the world’s mana shot out beams in four directions.

The directions were of four other points and soon the lines connected and began to form a grid.

As for the missing section, the straight lines grew more chaotic as they stretched but as the incoming lines that connected to it drew close, they would connect in the points. This is when a mighty and divine aura appeared at this point and the grid once more rose and the chaotic line would arrange itself properly before continuing to the next.

Yes, the gods that don’t normally interfere with the mortal world were directing their power to stabilize and propel these points that were missing towers to create.

Eventually the ‘hole’ perfectly connected under divine intervention and finally the entire grid shined and filled both the night and day skies.

All the creatures of the world felt an instant change. The pulling from their very cores stopped and suddenly turned around and pulled upon the world.

“What is going on?!” Logan exclaimed as he felt as if strings were forming around him and penetrating his body until they connected to the tens of thousands of entrance channels in his surface level mana channels.

After that they moved in all the way to the mana pool.

At that moment, Jade shouted as her forehead formed the divine crest over it and spread a light through the entire division.

World System Establishing...

Suddenly a window no different from when in a dungeon appeared.

Everyone looked with shock as they looked at this screen that should not appear unless special spells are used and bring out information.

However what was truly shocking was the communicators which began to beep.

“Divine network establishing, connecting to the world system. Please wait a moment.”

Every communicator in the world said the same thing in the predetermined language the settings were assigned to.

World system has been Established to the 1st stage. The World Network has been established and all communication devices have been connected. Previous Magic network has been absorbed into the present World Network.

Phase one establishment has been achieved. Current progress will first identify all living beings in the world and connect all beings to the network. World history, Legend and Legacy of everything will be categorized and analyzed by the world system during phase one. Information on all creatures and magic laws will be categorized and organized.

All Gods have connected to the World Network. Any destruction of the Divine towers will not affect the process that has already begun. Even the destruction of all towers will not destroy the network. It is no longer in mortal hands.

The words were transmitted in the language of each person and for animals and beings with no sentience or reasoning, they still understood what was going on, it was an innate instinct imposed by the rules of the world.

That said, the most shocked were the demons, most of all the Demon general who looked up at the glowing network that could be seen shining through the sky.

“Humans… and gods both worked… to literally change the rules of the world! This is not right! ONLY DEMONS HAVE POWER OVER THE WORLD!”

His power erupted and brought with it a dark storm over their capital and he wanted nothing more than to destroy the towers before him. He did not believe them and he saw the shields vanish.

“Get rid of it! DESTROY IT!”

His order resonated throughout and soon all the airships gathered and without the shield, the entire tower was turned into scrap but it did nothing. The tower just burned and fell but that was all.

The massive network surrounding the world was working outside the technology of the mortal objects. The towers were made simply to initiate the process, the unorganized system of worldly rules were forced into an organized network. Even now it was not following the full command by gods themselves who were working to connect all the divine domains into the network which would analyze and compile the rules.

This network, if the crisis of the demon’s war at the beginning of the world had not happened, this network would have been created back then. It didn’t happen because the number of celestials had fallen and the world had matured too much by then. Only now, with the help of mortal tools, did they finally get the ability to once more change the world rules without breaking the rules imposed upon gods.

Instead, they were properly organizing the rules and this was originally the job of gods so there was no problem.

That said, in Nuntip, although the communication was not cut, all the greatest military power was gone, most of the governmental power was gone and now it was a continent without many proper governing bodies to rule over the common people.

Maxwell looked up to the sky with a frown. “Let’s go to the capital quickly and figure out the extent of destruction. Soon news will come through the communication channels and we need to see exactly how much damage the demons caused, this will change how we grow in the future and what we need to achieve from here on.” he said.

The 11 A ranks and 39 B ranks didn’t wait, they split up and headed to east Eshen only to find the capital razed to the ground. Only the tower dungeon that was still in its infancy was standing within the blazing fires due to world rules protecting the ‘body’ of the dungeon and because it was just really hard material.

Others went to the military bases and frowned as they saw many airships, countless armories and more in shambles.

The entire government body was gone and military capacity was ruined. It would take years for any nation to get back on their feet and by then, the Dark empire will be a serious empire with few who could stop it.

They gathered back and checked all the news.

“Only four nation’s royal families and emperors survived. Even then they were seriously damaged and their military might dropped immensely. Within the next 5 years, it is impossible for them to efficiently fight back.” Logan said.

“What do we do?” Olivia asked worriedly.

“We can’t do much except continue to expand. Chaos and poverty is going to spread far and wide and we need to be ready, the most important thing is for us to reach S rank. Only when we have official S ranks can we properly organize safe areas.” Maxwell said.

Logan looked at the communicator.

“Is there any way of knowing if the Order of Legend Smith’s is okay? I heard they were making a huge number of Legend swords for famous people who had swords with the capacity?” Logan asked.

“They are okay, don’t worry. It is unlikely that they would be left in some random shady cabin in the middle of the woods. They probably went into deep underground dungeons where they are protected by thousands of meters of dirt and the dimensional rift of the dungeons. I’m worried though.” Max replied.

“So it isn’t just you right. There are likely to be dungeons who wish to act like kings now. The most powerful ones have loyal sentient monsters at S rank and the oldest from even the ancient hero’s era might have SS ranked monsters, if they are not one themselves.” one of the A ranks said.

“Yes, that is another concern, it is honestly ending up just as the demons want. The collapse of human society and the appearance of demons and monsters.” Max said.

Logan clenched his fist, his greatest goal was to live a peaceful life with his family but from the moment he saved his family, everything had begun to fall apart. When he thought about it, even before that it was going bad.

“Whatever the cause of all this chaos, whether a new demon lord or the revived one, we need to stop it before it gets too strong.” Logan suddenly said.

Everyone looked at him and they grew serious and nodded.

“We need to secure stability in Eshen, it is our home base and we are still too inconsequential for the demons but they still attack us meaning they fear the thought of mercenary armies becoming proper orders. They don’t want another army to contend with them so although it might seem we are taking advantage, we need to properly get the remaining army on our side and bring order even to a small piece of the territory. If we have the army formed, we can slowly train them to our side and have large scale war machines and transportation. This is only the start of a warring period and I am not sure how the other continents are but I highly doubt that seeing the news of Nuntip being razed to the ground would bring good things. We might even get more enemies from foreigners trying to take the continent. Each of the policing orders were also meant to balance each continent and make them more cautious. To a certain degree, Nuntip is the weakest of the continents in terms of armed forces but we are the most technological.” Max said.

“We cannot forget the adventurers guild. In the old era, the order and the guild were two sides of the same coin. They provided information and we provided manpower. We need to reestablish this dynamic if we want to be efficient.” Logan said.

“Unless we have S ranks, I doubt they would even look. We are just another small army, only a proper order would give us credibility. We are far from the peak of the order’s condition where they had S rank and even higher to spare. Don’t think about it now, what we need now is to quickly organize our ranks, improve the training and quickly increase our numbers. We also need to quickly recruit a number of humans to even out the number of monsters to humans or we might be feared instead of respected.” Max said.

“What about recruiting small mercenary groups?” Olivia asked.

“They would be unruly, they would follow our rules to the bare minimum. We need to ‘raise’ our recruits.” Max replied.

They all frowned at the difficult position they found themselves in and they simply lacked the numbers and time to effectively regain the power to fight the threat against humanity.

“There is going to be a lot of banditry without much of the armies now, we should get into contact with all the guilds and we can quickly supply aid within the surroundings if possible. I can travel with my wings to far off locations at a fast pace so we can help those further away as well.” Logan said.

“Ignore far away, Eshen and the surroundings are most important, we need a defensive line first. I’ll go talk to the army to quickly increase the numbers to properly organize a defense against possible national enemies then that is plenty. We will work first on establishing the fact that Eshen is a secure nation with order before we move out against the scattered territories of the neighbors.” Max said.

“Wait… are you thinking of making a nation run by the Golden Lions?” Olivia asked.

“Is that strange? The size of the micro world you have can easily do the same with a small territory of a few hundred thousand. What is so strange? Also, don’t forget that when the order was in its prime, the many HQs of different regions belonged to us, not other nations. We would purchase the land entirely for our management so if that was gathered up, we would have a pretty decent nation on our own. We need resources as well, so we cannot think about legal things, we need to expand. It is likely to form a military country under our rule.” He said serious as he got up and walked out.

All the young generation couldn’t do much, it was clear that the situation passed what the young could deal with, it was up to the old generation to secure their safety until they could properly fight.

Like that, the immense collapse of Nuntip spread through every channel of information throughout the world and even to the Demon continent where the silent communicator of the prince brightly shined as it connected and he received news that made him frown and start planning for the future.
