I have had the feeling of unduly severe stagnation after this fic fell off of Rising Stars for some time now, but only recently did my frustration become severe enough to make me pay for a month of Premium to see the actual numbers, and... It's bad.

Since more or less immediately after this fic fell off of Rising Stars and the second ad campaign ended, it's been completely stagnant in terms of follower growth. I had expected some stagnation and regression in follower numbers after dropping from RS due to RS-only mayfly followers unfollowing, as I had observed this trend with my previous times on RS, but that stagnant period hasn't ended. This fic has been stuck in the 470-480 follower range for TWO. MONTHS.

Conversely, the fic page for the prequel to this fic, Retribution Engine, has gained thirty new followers in the last two months, and a total of nearly ONE HUNDRED new followers since its last actual chapter in April of this year; yes, that is one new hundred followers with absolutely no updates in five months. Hearing this, some fellow authors have suggested that, as far as numbers go, it might be in my best interest to just go back to Engine's fic page. A decision like this isn't one I want to make myself, so...
