I had to meet up with a new client for a couple of hours, and their names were Kelly Blagburgh, aged twenty nine, and is in need of a lawyer for her disabled friend, who is being abused for a crime.

I was sitting in the living room, of her friends house, and Mrs. Kelly sighed, just worried about Emma, who's parents have abandoned her at birth, and is living with aunt. But her aunt is no longer available due to a business trip, at least that's what Mrs. Kelly told me after I had asked her about Emma's aunt.

"You need to understand that she's just a disabled girl who wouldn't intend to hurt anyone," Mrs. Kelly said.

I sighed, "Yeah, I understand."

Mrs. Kelly shook her head no, "No, I don't think you do, do you have any kids? Because if you do, I am sure you would understand what I am saying to you."

I took a deep hard breath, and sighed. "I do, actually," I said, smiling softly at Mrs. Kelly. "Really?" I shook my head yes, "I have an autistic brother." Kelly understood ohhing, and she then asked me how old he was. I cleared my throat,

"He is fourteen." Mrs. Kelly understood, shaking her head. "Oh, I'm sorry, let me guess, he's on trial for a crime he didn't commit either, isn't he?" Mrs. Kelly asked. I shook my head, "Yeah," I answered back, while sighing once again.

I then got a little emotional, and I just immediately wiped my tears hoping Kelly wouldn't notice. I asked Mrs. Kelly, when will Emma's aunt, Kelly's sister, be heading back home from her business trip? "Oh Um, not until Sunday evening, I already explained to her what's going on over the phone, she's leaving her business trip to support and be with Emma." I sighed, okaying Mrs. Kelly and I saw Emma, who's the same age as Jacob, and has down syndrome.

I had thanked Mrs. Kelly for her time, and she and I shook hands. Mrs. Kelly thanked me for understanding and wished me good luck in my brother's trial. I smiled, thanking Mrs.Kelly, and she smiled. I then turned, started marching to my car, I opened the door and sat inside before closing the drivers door.

Once I pulled up at the red light, I saw these people waking across the street, and it was a young mother, her husband walking along with two kids and I just sat there watching them cross by.

I had another flashback of my parents, how they used to take me and Jacob at Christmas time to see the lights when I was living in New York.

I remember the good times we had, and I never thought I would have ever been to my parents funeral so soon. I had just moved into my first year at a four year university and I suddenly got a call my parents were murdered. I just couldn't believe it, and until it was true. It was like I was drowning in water, and I shouted crying about what had happened to my mom and dad. The last time I ever told them I loved them was before I had left for college.

I had driven all the way to North Dakota from New York on my own, and I went to visit Jacob in his foster home. I then decided to withdraw Jacob from foster care.

I set up a room for Jacob with furniture and clothing. I also want to include age-appropriate games and toys. I remember the look on Jacobs face, he was really excited and happy. He was only six years old, he didn't understand what happened to our mother and father.

I had to explain to him in a nice possible way that our parents were gone forever. That I will be taking care of him and that he can accept me as his legal guardian.

So after Jacob had moved in, I started the adoption process. I was severely proud of myself that I am capable of taking care of my brother when I need to and haven't to work a good stable job while Mrs. Hutchinson keeps an eye on Jacob before I return home from work, and who also helps Jacob with his school work.

Beep, beep, beep

I looked at the rearview mirror and I noticed a few cars waiting for me to move. I saw the lights and it was green, I then pushed on my gas break, and I had gone back to the courthouse after I get a phone calm saying that I have another trial to attend at two o'clock in the afternoon.
