"Fascinating. You really did all of that?" Stoor asked.
Harold smugly replied, "Did I do that? Heh, of course I did, and more. But the real question is if I ever got thanked for it. You wanna know the answer? No way. It would never even cross their minds."
"You really go above and beyond then." The giant worm creature named Stoor said with a nod. "Your superiors must be quite short, while you're really top shelf!"
"Huh?" Harold raised an eyebrow at Stoor.
"Get it? Because you're so far out of their reach?" Stoor explained. "Becasue they're short, so they need a ladder or a tall person to help them get to the top shelf product, which is you."
"Nah, that's a miss." Minabous called out. "Hardly even funny if you can even make the leap to understand it."
Harold's confusion turned to anger as his eyes fell upon the cowgirl. "Wait...you sent me on a wild goods chase young lady, did you really think you could get away with that?"
She looked a little surprised, and then what happened seemed to catch up to her and she let out a deep sigh. "I can't believe his terrible attempt at a joke made me forget I'd even told you about those guys."
"That's right!" He said in a huff. "Those two were just having a completely normal conversation. Nothing at all about destroying my office!"
Harold paused a moment and tapped his chin. "Although, I am having trouble finding my office..."
"What, did it grow legs and walk away?" Stoor joked.
"Yeah, still bad." Minabous sighed.
"What? No. That..that one was good, right?"
"Good? I'm afraid I don't know what you mean." Harold mused as he seemed deep on thought.

The giant worm drooped his head, with the many tendrils from his mouth fell limp.
After a moment, Stoor shook his head, and his tendrils perked back up. "Do you remember what the name of the school you lead is?"
"Of course! It's..." Harold's mouth hung open as he just suddenly stopped talking.
"I...I can't seem to recall." He stammered as worry flooded his face. "It's a prestigious institution...but I can't bring the words to mind."
"Huh? But you're going off on that school all the time." Minabous remarked.
"How could I...it should be obvious. The prestigious...The well respected...the terribly underfunded..." Harold rattled off various leads into the school's name, but stopped each time before the actual name would be said.
"Noooooooooo!"
A loud voice echoed across the area. Stoor and Minabous looked up, while Harold continued to fret more and more about how he had forgotten the very school he worked for.

Magitech Awakenings
In this world of Terrapia, myth states that Dragons are caretakers of the chaos wheel, a band of energy that encircles the world, penetrating through the very fabric of the dimension. They tame and convert it, not only to fuel their primal magic, but also to gentler forms that man and beast alike can tap. But now they have faded away, being sighted less and less the past couple millennia. With magic weakening, science has taken root and in many cases merged in a symbiosis with magic. Guppy Bright, a 17 year old young woman, is a technomancer apprentice living in the bustling city of Nolusburg trying to make ends meet. Apprenticed to the enigmatic and somewhat crazy Technomancer Friedrich BrassTuner, she participates in an experiment meant to tap a new rich source of energy. However something goes horribly wrong and a rip in the very fabric of reality opens in the workshop, sucking in her mentor and ejecting a dying white dragon. The dragon, after examining her, takes a gamble and entwines their souls, an act that causes the dragon, Barthurthalomalew Dresnarian Kratomanger Harrowhew Objuslorow, the 5th, aka Batty, to regress into a baby dragon, sealing much of his powers and memories in the process. This act also has profound effects on Guppy, her own magic is now crazily changed in ways no one, least of all her, understands. Guppy is suddenly plunged into a world of mystery, intrigue and politics, where everyone either wants to control, or eliminate her. Armed with little but her courage and unpredictable newfound magic how will she survive and protect herself and those she loves when everyone from techno radicals, magic purists, politicians and guttersnipes are out to get her. And those may be the least of her problems if Batty's fragmented memories are any indicator.
