Cynthia observed the battle from the stands. One thing was clear, Ash had an extreme level of creativity to his battles but Harrison was a far better trainer, displaying the level of calmness and planning that only comes with rigorous experience. In a battle of raw power, Harrison's pokémon would get stalemated by Ash's when considering Ash's unusual combo move style along with his creativity and unpredictability. However, the brown,-haired young man from Hoenn had literally taken his weaknesses and turned them into strength as he had carefully observed every match that Ash previously had.

This is going to be really difficult.

Squirtle was already eliminated out of the competition, and with the choice of battlefield being water and ice, using Bulbasaur wasn't an option , Scyther had a great disadvantage due to the presence of two fire type. And Harrison had practically caused Ash to reveal that he didn't have Clefairy as one of his Pokémon battling , Pikachu and Charmander were left against Arcanine and Blastoise, and now Arcanine had been pitched against Pikachu, who was, for all intents and purposes, Ash's most versatile pokémon so far.

How will you defeat such a tricky opponent, Ash Ketchum?

Meanwhile back on the battleground, Pikachu floated in the air using magnetic rise as Arcanine stood on one of the larger chunks of ice, growling at the electric mouse pokémon.

"Arcanine, start with fire blast!" Harrison began, as Arcanine let out a loud howl, before unleashing a torrent of flames which expanded out towards Pikachu

" Rapid Electroballs ! "

The two attacks collided and created a cloud of smoke from which a few Electroballs came through.

"Arcanine, use swift and use fire fang on Pikachu ."

Arcanine charged towards Pikachu who didn't use any moves to attack it but just let be as Arcanine was near pikachu , it immediately let go of using magnetic rise and swiftly began to fall to the water as Pikachu dodged the attack.

Pikachu's cheeks began to spark .

"Use extreme speed, Arcanine. Don't let it use any electric attacks."

Pikachu didn't even try to defend as Arcanine was moving awfully fast for him to dodge.

Pikachu was thrown into the water but a dome of Electricity formed all around them.

Pikachu had successfully set up Electric Terrain.

Thinking that Pikachu was going to use some kind of powerful attack like Thunder , Harrison exclaimed ," Hyperbeam ! "

" Flash turn "

Pikachu's body erupted in a bright light causing Arcanine to lose focus as Hyperbeam dissipated.

Austin had other plans as pikachu returned.

" Go Charmander !"

"And Ash Ketchum replaces Pikachu with Charmander. Will Charmander be able to win against Arcanine?" The commentator blared.

" Now it seems like you are at a disadvantage ." Harrison revealed loudly, much to Austin's chagrin. It seemed he was playing into Harrison's traps more and more since the start of the match. He truly is a tricky opponent to deal with.

" Charmander , use embers !"

"Dodge it." Harrison commanded lazily. "Use fire blast!"

"Launch yourself into the air using dragon pulse."

"Continue using fire blast!" Harrison ordered.

What is he thinking? Austin wondered, before he noticed it. With every single fire blast, Arcanine was literally reducing the entire water-ice field to water, save the tiny portion he had for himself.

Shit. I have to end this now.

In the air , Charmander glared at Arcanine.

" Flame Burst ! "

Charmander had a little hesitation but it quickly overcame it.

He would win this match for his trainer.

"Use extreme speed and attack Charmander." Harrison countered, as Arcanine used the powers of extreme speed, and propelled himself into the air, narrowly escaping the flame burst.

"Time to finish this." Harrison yelled, "Use fire blast on Charmander again."

"Dragon Pulse.."

The two attacks collided as smoke covered the sky but the two trainers called out their attacks.

Harrison laughed. "Got you, Ash. Arcanine, use wild charge."

" Thunder Claw ! " Austin yelled as two Pokémon were launched out of the smoke cloud.

Austin felt an absolute terror as he saw that Charmander was going to thrown into a body of water.

Not carrying if Charmander was knocked out or not , Austin immediately returned Charmander resulting in a automatic forfeit since he had returned his Pokémon during the results of a move hitting it.

Arcanine crashed into the water , completely knocked out.

"Both Arcanine and Charmander are unable to battle. Trainers choose your next pokémon." The referee stated loudly.

"And with a rather sudden change of events , both trainers are down to their last pokemon. Now, Harrison has one fresh pokémon Blastoise, against Ash's Pikachu, who was injured in the battle against Arcanine. Will Harrison's plan prevail or will Pikachu be able to win despite extraneous conditions?"

Within a matter of seconds, Pikachu was back, and floating above the layer of water. Harrison had similarly, called upon Blastoise, who was apparently his strongest pokémon.

"So it all comes to this. My Blastoise hasn't even battled yet, and your Pikachu is wounded. Who will win?" Harrison asked rhetorically.

Austin didn't bother to reply.

" Blastoise, show them a real Hydro pump." Harrison commanded, as Blastoise let out a loud roar, before throwing out twin jets of water from his two cannons.

" Use twin Electroballs to stop them."

Almost immediately, the incoming water torrents clashed against two orbs of electricity as both attacks were nullified.

"Use Flash Cannon!"

" Use counter shield !"

This time, the more powerful Flash Cannon attack rammed into Pikachu's counter shield.

"Use Rapid Spin!" Harrison looked up to see that Electric Terrain had dissipated.

Blastoise receded back into his shell as it began spinning in the air, throwing jets of water from its orifices, as it lashed towards Pikachu

" Use Iron tail on the water and jump onto its shell ."

Pikachu followed the command to its trainer as it found himself on the shell of the spinning blastoise.

"Discharge !" Austin yelled but Harrison just smirked as a berry popped out of Blastoise's shell and Blastoise ate the Wacan Berry causing it withstand that super effective electric attack.

"Blastoise , shell smash and then Hyper Beam!"

Blastoise's shell glowed as it exploded out causing Pikachu to be launched from Blastoise's shell as Blastoise turned and fired a point blank Hyperbeam which had been enhanced by the shell smash buff.

" Discharge !" Austin cried out.

The two attacks collided, exploding outward, literally throwing the Pokemon towards opposite ends, as both Blastoise and Pikachu went flying, slamming against the psychic walls that separated the battlefield from the stands. Both Austin and Harrison stood shaken, somehow managing to keep standing on their respective platforms, as smoke engulfed the entire battleground.

When the smoke receded, two figures were visible. One, was a fallen Pikachu, completely disoriented and unable to battle, while on the other end, stood Blastoise, panting, his shell fractured, and in pain, but standing, nevertheless.

"Pikachu is unable to battle. The winner is Harrison and Blastoise."
