Tal and Sasha left the operating room with Zen following along. Tal gave the A.I. a warm smile and asked, "Terran Zen... I know you wish to ensure that I have no issues with my head, but I'm fine. My people are a sturdy folk. Dying isn't going to get me down. So, may we be discharged?" Zen smiled back at Tal and bowed slightly to him, "You may leave whenever you wish. We will not force anyone to do anything. However, I would like to mention. If you wish, we can bring you back to your prime years. It's standard Terran procedure, and it's how we've maintained our youth. It already has a history of use in your GC species as well. The Atteni ambassador So'Ran had his physical age reduced to around twenty." Tal quirked a fuzzy eyebrow at the A.I. and asked, "You mean that famous egghead? The one that was studying them primitive worlds? He was looking like he was on death's door in the last doc I saw featuring him." Zen simply shrugged his virtual shoulders and projected an image of So'Ran prior to his treatment alongside one his reborn visage. "I have no idea what So'Ran's accolades were prior to his... first contact. However, I have photos of him before and after the treatment, as you can see. Feel free to verify his visage with your own eyes." Tal's eye's widened considerably and he shot his surprised gaze back to Zen. "That's him! He even looks the same as the pictures of his young self he plastered all over his books!" Tal's surprised expression slowly turned to a sly grin, "Has Tarma done this yet?" Zen tilted his head, "Are you referring to your brother, the Councilor Tarma Killa'vitch? If so, no. He has not been treated as of yet. Only the individual So'Ran has thus far. Though, I am currently having similar conversations with 237 million other individuals on this world who seem likely to seek treatment." "Wait what? 237 million? Right now?" Tal and Sasha simultaneously question. Zen chuckled a bit at them for being so in tune with each other. "Indeed! I am performing consultations for all who enter these hospitals. There happen to be quite the number of patients currently, so I am having to split my focus somewhat. I could only take a few million more before I would have some real issues." Sasha simply gaped at him in disbelief. Tal on the other hand let that sly grin creep back up, "Well, no time like the present. So long as my brother hasn't had the treatment yet I can still have my fun. I'm gonna make him think he's finally gone senile." The sly grin only got wider as he finished the statement. Zen sighed and shook his head, "Truly, siblings are the same no matter the species... Anyway, I take this as your affirmation that you would like to undergo the treatment, yes?" Tal gave him a curt nod in reply. Zen snapped his virtual fingers and the empty hallway they had been walking through gained a new door that Zen led them through. "Ms. Sasha? Would you like to undergo the treatment as well? You are not old yet, however, it can't hurt to knock ten years or so off, yes?" "Sure. Might as well go with dad. My backs been feeling a bit stiff lately, so maybe some years off the bones will help loosen me up... Or perhaps I should get away from my desk job..." Zen smiled and another apparatus appeared from the ceiling. "Go ahead and step a couple of feet away from one another. It'll be done in but a moment." The two stepped away from one another and golden light immediately flooded the room. Sasha watched as her father's graying fur returned to its youthful black. The sag in his posture and the wrinkles in his face both disappeared at a startling pace. A few seconds after it started, the procedure was done. "Dad! You look... You look younger than me... Wow, this is a trip." Tal let loose a massive smile as he flexed his arms out and rolled his shoulders, "Ha! I feel like a million damn credits! I feel like I could go toe-to-toe with a Razzy death squad right now!" He started giggling to himself like a kid as he performed various exercises and fighting techniques. Sasha chuckled and shook her head. A genuine smile on her face as she watched her father's own energetic happiness. Zen coughed into his virtual hand and began, "Well now, If there's any further consultation you wish for, I will be here for you. If not, you are free to go bother your sibling. Though, if I might ask a favor of you... There are some who are still... leery of my services. They seem to think that we are simply going to replace their family members or something when we perform our duties. If you would not mind. Could I utilize my memory of your transformation as a means to placate these people? I assure you, I will not use it without express permission from you." Tal glanced over at Sasha. "I'm fine with it... But it was a real moment of vulnerability for us, especially my daughter. So, I'll leave that decision up to her." Sasha gave Tal a soft smile and turned to Zen, "I am fine with it. If my father and I can serve as a good example to other families... Perhaps some other daughters out there will get to see their dads back and healthier than ever." Zen bowed deeply to Sasha and Tal. "The two of you have my deepest thanks. We Terrans don't like to see any of you little fluffy ones hurt. Your pain is our pain, and your happiness is happiness for us as well. This goes for all Terran kind, whether biological, steel, or completely digital. So thank you." The group said their goodbyes, and Zen worked on getting the story of Tal and Sasha told to the world. At the same time, he had millions of others agree to allow him to use their story as well. Zen had massive projectors constructed across every city, town, and outlying building. On each projector was the same story, with different people. The projectors would display the teary and sorrow-stricken family as they gazed upon the body of their loved one. Then, the first miracle came... revival. Tears flowed still, but they were tears of happiness, of relief. For some, that's where it stopped. But for others, they decided to stay for the second miracle... time. No matter their advanced age or bad health, they were brought back to a time when they could run and jump. A time when they had endless energy and were seemingly immune to sickness. The sheer joy on the faces of the family was apparent and infectious. With this one move from Zen, all the opposition against using the Terran medical services seemed to evaporate. Little did Zen know, these videos were being recorded by the populace too. And just as he had shared with this world, this world shared with the galaxy. They shared the true nature of Humanity.
