《Creating a world can't be that difficult, right?》Chapter 179

When the vegetation giants reached the army, they slammed against the barriers and shields with all their might and weights.
With the first hit, deep cracks appeared on the defense's surface, which caused fear to appear on the fighters' faces.
Before they could attack again, the casters redirected their attacks toward the nearby giants, trying to force them to retreat because of the damage they received.
Seeing the dire situation, the leaders decided to give their all before things could turn for the worst.
"My Golden Eagles, show them how strong we are when we get serious!" Jason shouted as he slashed toward one of the giants.
As if reacting to his orders, Jason's men began to shine with golden light through the gasps on their armors as their mechanical pieces moved faster. Their weapons also shined with golden light, making their blows hit stronger than before and harder to heal than before.
After the casters shot their projectiles at the nearest giants, the now powered-up armored figures began to fight harder against the remaining giants attacking the army, making them unable to continue their offensive for a few more seconds.
Seeing their companions give their all, the angels and the cultivators decided to use all their power too.
Azrael, who until now had stayed above the army shooting rays of darkness, made appear from out of nowhere a black scythe made of energy before diving into the enemy ranks.
The black scythe annihilated everything it found on its path, releasing large amounts of darkness that consumed into nothingness everything it touched.
Following their boss's decision, most angels also appeared with different dark weapons, which they used to inflict significant damage to their enemies with each attack. Even though their weapons were not as strong as Azrael's, they still managed to gain a substantial advantage using them.

Not wanting to stay behind in terms of power, the cultivators also began to use all their might. Many elemental auras appeared among the army in no time, followed by a power increase in the cultivator's techniques and spells.
Seeing how things were advancing, Travis jumped from the middle of the army toward one of the giants, his arm covered in darkness. Before the giant could react, he stabbed his right hand's fingers into his enemy's body, sending a large amount of corruption toward it.
As with the last one, the giant began to rot quickly while simultaneously, it could not move. The army took advantage of the situation by targeting that giant to finish it off before it could recover, reducing the number of giants by one.
On the other side of the army, Nathan activated his bracelets to gather energy from his surroundings, which allowed him to launch a large energy projectile at the face of a nearby giant. Even though this attack didn't deal as much damage as Travis', it still managed to get the enemy down to the ground, gaining some time for the army to defend itself.
Little by little, the army managed to reduce the enemy's numbers.
The smaller vegetation figures were the fastest to fall, as they were much less durable, and a single fire projectile could be enough to kill each one.
The giants took much longer to die, but as soon as they were alone on the battlefield, they began to fall steadily.
The battle lasted enough that the cultivators' third totem became full before they could finish the fight, so they had to activate the next one to continue battling safely.
The army took a few minutes to rest and recover when the last giant fell.
They had destroyed the vegetation of a large area around them, so there weren't any enemies that could attack them while they were recovering.

"Nice fight, guys. We did it pretty nice!" Jason said as he patted the backs of his men one by one.
"Yes, everyone did a good job, but we should not waste our time here. The more we stay in this crater, the higher the chances that we get attacked by the vegetation again. Do everything on your hands to recover from your wounds, and let's continue with this." Nathan said seriously.
"He is right. Two more minutes before we continue. Make sure to be ready before the time is gone!" Jason said to his group.
As he said, two minutes later, the army again advanced toward the central tree. There wasn't much vegetation between them and the tree, so their pace was much faster than before.
When they were forty meters away from the tree, they saw something that caught their attention.
The tree was growing above a stone sphere a few dozen meters tall. Its roots stabbed into the stone, and from time to time, they could see how green energy flowed out of it through the tree's roots.
"I think we have just found the origin of the green light," Nathan said with a smile.
