《Heaven Warrior》~ 012

Heaven groaned, looking at the time go by slowly. She had picked up a shift at the hospital because they were becoming short-staffed. She was starting to regret it though, because they were very slow at the moment.

"Should've stayed my volunteering ass at home with my family." She mumbled.

"Hey, do you have any trash that you need me to take out from under your desk?" A soft voice called out, getting the attention of Heaven. Heaven immediately noticed how young and tired the girl looked.

"No, not really. You work here?" Heaven asked, with a curious look on her face.

"Yes ma'am. I've just never really worked on your floor before. I've been here for four months now." The girl replied, taking her broom from her cleaning cart to sweep the area.

"How old are you?" Heaven questioned.

"I'm sixteen. I work here as a janitor." The girl nodded with a small smile. "I mostly do all shifts, depending on when and where they need me." She added, sweeping a pile of dust into her dustpan.

Heaven nodded her head, trying to answer some of her own questions in her head. Why was the girl at work past midnight? Why did the girl have huge bags forming under her eyes?

"Do they not know that they can't work a minor past a certain time during school months? Are they overworking you or are you just willing to work extra hours?" Heaven asked, now intrigued to what the girl was about to say. She watched the girl chew on her bottom lip, as if she was nervous to respond.

"I'm just willing to work for the extra money." The girl mumbled, keeping her answer short.

"What's your name boo?" Heaven questioned. Honestly she didn't care that she was asking so many questions. She wanted answers as to why a sixteen year old was working past midnight during school months.

"Look, I don't need to get in trouble. I'm sorry if I bothered you." The girl responded, putting her cleaning supplies back onto her cart. The last thing she needed was being written up or loosing her job.

"You won't get in trouble." Heaven chuckled. "I just want to know your name." She shrugged. It was obvious that the young girl was hiding something. She just couldn't put her finger on it, but she would soon find out.

"Paisyn. Please just don't tell on me, okay? I really need this job." The young girl pleaded. She eventually got everything back onto her cleaning cart and was about to walk away.

"Paisyn, if you ever need anything you can always come to me. I'm Heaven." Heaven said, introducing herself. As much as she wanted to read Paisyn, she couldn't. It was clear that either the girl was uncomfortable or scared of spilling some information.

"What happened to your neck Paisyn?" Heaven asked, noticing the purple bruise ring that Paisyn failed to cover. She thought that her scarf would do the job, but it was clear that it wasn't.

"I broke out." Paisyn quickly replied.

"Doesn't look like a breakout to me." Heaven shrugged. "I can help you, but you have to want it baby." She added.

"I'll be okay." Paisyn nodded, trying to reassure herself. She wanted to just break down in Heaven's arms and tell her the truth of what had been going on for eight years, but she knew she couldn't.

"Promise that you'll come to me when you're ready." Heaven said. Unfortunately the young girl reminded her so much of Solana's situation. She wanted to help her get out before it was too late.

"Yes ma'am. Do you know if we will get our checks at the end of this shift?" Paisyn asked, now avoiding eye contact with Heaven. "I haven't received my last check and I really need to get this one.

"Well you should. Have you talked to payroll?" Heaven frowned. "Do you get direct deposit or paper checks?" She asked.

"Paper checks. They said that I should get them soon." Paisyn stated. "Anyways I have to go now, it was nice talking to you Ms. Heaven. Hopefully I'll see you around more." She added. Before Heaven even had the chance to respond Paisyn disappeared around the corner.

"Now something seem so off." Heaven said to herself.

It was now the end of Heaven's shift, and she was leaving the hospital to go get ready for Solai's birthday party. They had been so slow at the hospital that she took a much needed nap, so she was planning on using that energy for the day.

When she walked out of the double doors of the hospital, she heard yelling coming from the parking lot. "Where the fuck is the check Paisyn!?" She heard, making her ears perk up. She remembered that name from her shift.

As she got closer to the parking lot, she saw a raggedy car filled with men and women. She shook her head, and turned her attention to one of the women who was screaming in Paisyn's face.

"T-They didn't give it to me yet! I'll have it, I promise!" Paisyn replied, noticing Heaven. She swallowed the lump in her throat, embarrassed.

"Bitch, you think you gone be living for free?" The women yelled, slapping Paisyn across the face.

"I know damn well." Heaven mugged. She happily walked over to the altercation, ready to beat anybody's ass. "I know I ain't just see you slap her?" She asked the lady.

"Heaven please, just leave. I'm fine." Paisyn shook her head. "M-Mama this just a coworker tha—that's all." She explained to her foster mom, before anything else was said.

"Lady, stay out of our buisness. This ain't got nothing to do with you." The woman mugged, snatching Paisyn by the arm.

Heaven sighed, trying to contain her temper. "Lady let this girl arm go. Who the hell you think you is slapping her like she a dog or something? I will walk your ass up and down this parking lot."

"Paisyn you got five seconds to get this lady out of my face."

"M-Ms. Heaven please, I'll be fine." Paisyn stuttered, tears filling her eyes. She knew that her punishment was getting worser and worser if Heaven stayed. Even though she thanked Heaven for attempting to help, she knew that it would do her no good.

"Paisyn." Heaven stated, holding the bridge of her nose.

"Ms. Heaven—please." The young girl begged. "Please just go." She pleaded, seeing her foster mom's facial expressions.

Heaven only shook her head. She knew that she should've put up a bigger fight with helping Paisyn, but honestly she didn't know what else to do. She had already put the pieces together, but she couldn't pull Paisyn out of the situation because she didn't know what she would be really be getting herself into.

trigger warning

A silent scream left Paisyn's mouth as she felt her foster mom kick her in the side. It had been twenty minutes and the beating that started when they first got home still continued.

"You had that bitch trying to check me, huh?" Her foster mom fumed, repeatedly kicking Paisyn in her side. "You wanted me to be embarrassed? You like making me angry!"

"Please stop!" Paisyn sobbed, as blood leaked from her nose and mouth.

The woman picked Paisyn up by her neck, holding her up against the wall. "Where is my money you bitch? Huh? Where the fuck are the checks?"

"They haven't ga—Bitch I'll kill you over my money!" The woman yelled, slinging Paisyn across the room. "You think you can live here for free, huh?"

"I—I'll have it tomorrow. I-I swear." Paisyn choked out.

"You better." The woman smirked evilly, caressing Paisyn's bloody face. "Look at me baby, you know I hate when I have to punish you. You know that right?"

Paisyn weakly nodded her head, feeling her body getting number and number. "Y-Yes ma'am. I'm sorry I upset you." She cried, shutting her eyes.

The woman's hand then found their way down to Paisyn's private area. Paisyn closed her eyes tighter wanting to scream out for help, but she didn't. She knew that it would result in part two of a beating.

"Can I see your pretty little body?" The woman smirked, knowing that Paisyn was to weak to put up a fight.

"Please, no. Please I'll go get the check right now." Paisyn sniffled, eyes still shut.

The woman, forcefully removed Paisyn's bottoms, rubbing over her vagina. "When I want to see your body, you show me. I'm your mother and you will always do what I say. Do you understand me?" She mugged.

Paisyn squirmed around, trying to get out of her mother's reach.

The woman forced two fingers inside of Paisyn, ignoring her screams and cries. "You like this don't you? You like when I treats you like the slut that you are?"

A knock on the door knocked the evil woman out of her actions, removing her fingers. Paisyn wasted no time vomiting. She released everything that was inside of her. She was disgusted with herself, and what her mom had just done to her.

"She should've killed me." Paisyn sniffled, repeating what she always said after every beating she received. She weakly crawled to her room, shutting and locking the door. "She should've killed me." She mumbled.
