Jul's apartment is still in good knows what kind of renovation which is still incomplete.

Whereas Connor's parents are in the city at his home, so they both mutually decided to spend time at my house without discussing it with me.

"Not in my kitchen, go inside the guest room, and don't you dare do it on the couch," I said and made my way to my bedroom getting ready for the hospital.

"Sav could you please go to the club on your way to the hospital and give these files to Leo, it's the weekend he will be there, I don't wanna leave Jul alone here." Connor winked at me and placed the files in my hand.

"Sure." I took the file and headed outside my apartment before I witness live porn in my house.

I drove from my apartment to Leo's club which is 20 minutes away.

The club was not at all filled with people it was just staff and the bouncers roaming around.

I made my way upstairs where Leo's office was, the door was ajar open not fully to see inside. Which was strange because it never happens.

Moving near the door hesitantly I could hear muffled Leo's angry voice and a high pitched voice of a girl who was not new to my ears but still didn't know who it was.

It sounded like they were arguing, I didn't want to barge in, something in me was telling me not, but dumb me did that.

And I regret it because the moment I opened the door I saw Ava lunging at Leo to kiss him.

Leo noticed me and he pushed Ava with a force making her fall on her butt.

"Savanah, it's not what you think," Leo said slowly walking toward me. I didn't move for like a minute. I was only seeing Ava.

She stood up from the ground with the help of a table and straighten her skirt like she just performed an Oscar-winning act.

Looking at me a smirk showed up on her lips, she made her way towards me bending to the level so she could whisper in my ear.

"I always win." She said and exit the door after pushing my shoulder harshly.

"Savanah, I didn't kiss her," Leo whispered coming close to me. I didn't step back because my mind was somewhere else occupied.

Just seeing Ava made me conscious, maybe she has a bitch mouth but it only took her confidence and her smile to rise the insecurities in me to the surface.

"Savanah," Leo said slightly loudly to have my attention he shook my shoulders.

"It's okay Leo." He just stood there looking at my face like I have two heads. I know he was expecting me to yell or shout but I can't do that.

"I know you didn't kiss her I saw her lunging at you." As these words left my mouth I could see Leo's eyebrows relaxing a bit.

But the things that were churning in me about today didn't settle well with me.

"Connor asked me to drop these files for you, I have to go to the hospital bye, Leo." I wanted to move away from Leo as fast as I could.

But he caught me, "hey wait, you are upset, I am sorry you have to see me like that." Leo genuinely said, but my mind was too busy to comprehend those words.

"I trust you Leo, but I need to get away from you right now," I said and Leo loosened his grip on my hand.

"You are not breaking up with you?" Leo asked honestly it sounded more like a plead than a question.

I could only step back and run from there, I ran until I reached inside my car. It hurts me to see Leo this helpless. But one thing I knew was that Leo doesn't deserve me.

It's 1:00 at the night and I am just sitting in the lab writing my research paper. More like typing just one line from the last 4 hrs.

Leo hasn't called me since I left the club. Maybe he did took it as a breakup. Well, it was my fault that I just ran away from there. He is not gonna run behind me.

I wiped a single tear from the corner of my eye and started to type but my mind couldn't seem to think anything except him.

My door jolted open, to see Leo standing with his coat in his hand and the sleeves of his shirt rolled up to his elbows.

He looked at me with so much anger but still softness in his eyes.

"You will not utter a word, Savanah, today shut your laptop and come with me. We need to talk." Leo gritted.

"Le-" I said but was soon interrupted by him. "I said you will not say anything Savanah now." He put both his hands on the table and slightly leaned on it.

"We are in this together, and I don't know what was the reason you freaked out earlier but I am not leaving you until we talk that's not how a relationship works."

"Now get up before the count of three otherwise I will take you on my shoulder from this room till my car in front of the hospital," Leo said and he looked at me challenging me.

"1"...... He won't do that, my eyes said to him for which he just raised an eyebrow.

" 2" he will do it. Before he could say three I stood up from my chair pushing it a little back.

A smirk formed on his face. Leo took my laptop bag and we both made our way toward his car, opened the car door for me.

We both silently sat through the whole drive, it felt weird because this time he didn't hold my hand while driving and neither did I have enough courage to do so because of what I did in the morning.

Sitting for dinner with lasagna on our plates and complete silence made me lose my appetite. He said he wanna talk, then why in the hell is not speaking.

Groaning I stood up from the table, Leo noticed me but didn't utter a word, I made my way to his bedroom. I went to the washroom to change.

Now I have kept some essentials in his house for me to use. So I don't have to wear or use Leo's things every time.

I lay on the bed staring at the ceiling, suddenly I could feel my throat closing up and my eyes burning with tears.

I shifted and laid on my right arm just to hide my face from Leo. After a couple of minutes, Leo came to the room and I still pretended to be asleep.

He went inside the washroom to fresh up, changed his clothes and made his way to the bed to sleep, after switching off the lights, the room was enough illuminated by the lights of New York City.

I feel the bed dip and Leo coming to my side. He wrapped his arms around my stomach and pulled me closer to his chest.

He kept his face in the crook of my neck. Cuddling, I thought we were fighting. This boy never seems to amaze me.

"Good night," Leo whispered near my ear and then kissed it. It was the end of my cry control. And my taps were open now.

"I am so s-sorry Leo I freaked out looking at Ava, she is just so much better than me and I j-just couldn't help but doubt myself." I hiccuped.

Leo made me turn so I could look at his face. "What do you mean, she is no better than you," Leo asked with confusion.

"She is, she is everything that you should have Leo, she is good looking, her aura is powerful. You shouldn't be with someone weak like me whom you have to calm down every single time when she sees a belt."

"You need someone who completes all your needs, and I hate to see you are compromising that for me, you are intentionally going slow with me."

"I am naive Leo, I don't know how relationships work but I do know compromising your happiness is something that shouldn't be done. I work 80 hrs a week, sometimes I barely give you time."

"It's not what you want. Leave me, Leo, you deserve better." I said while keeping my forehead on his chest so that I could avoid looking him in his eyes.

"She is everything I despise Savanah, you think she is powerful, well I hate to pop your bubble she is not," Leo said.

"I need you, you are my need, do you know just seeing you makes me happy, and yes I am going slow, not because of you but for us, I need to savour every part of this relationship, not to rush things."

"And you work 80 hrs a week doesn't bother me, because I know despite your tight schedule you make time to talk with me, eat with me, and I appreciate that, no matter what you try to make me feel special."

"I already told you we are in this together, so I don't mind calming you down, you are strong. A girl like Ava would have turned worse than this if she went through all of this." Leo said and made me look at his face. He wiped my tears off.

"Your kindness for others, your love and respect you give to all and most especially your heart is the powerful aura you have," Leo said while poking a finger into my heart.

"I am sorry, so that means you are not upset with me anymore," I asked in a shaky voice.

"I never was," Leo said and kissed my forehead.

"You are it for me, Savanah, you have bewitched me body and soul," Leo said which made my head turn.

"Did you just quote pride and prejudice?" I asked and Leo muttered an inaudible 'shit'.

I giggled and Leo joined me making me laugh even more.

Leo moved forward to kiss me and I heartily kissed him back with the same intensity and passion in it.

"I missed you," Leo whispered again at my lips and then went again from kissing my lips till my collar bone and then the tip of my fingers.
