It's been 2 weeks since the kiss between me and Leo and everything is going the way I have never dreamt of. Awesome.

I am an attending cardio surgeon now, work is pretty hectic which doesn't give me much time to spend with Leo. But he understands it.

He sometimes sleeps at my house waiting for me when I come late at night from work. He has been nothing but patient with me through these weeks.

We now have kissed multiple times, and each time it is electrifying for me. We have not put labels on what we are, and I don't intend to ask him to do it because I may sound like a clingy person.

Maybe he doesn't want to give it right now and I don't wanna slip the good thing away from me. I don't want him to be mad at me and lose the friendship that we had.

But from the past few weeks, I have been thinking a lot about it, Leo behaves so differently he cooks for me when I am late, he sometimes comes to meet me during my breaks at the hospital and he even cuddles with me when we sleep together.

I mean I don't mind this behaviour but it confuses me sometimes, but Jul told me that Connor and she made it official after a month of getting to know each other.

So it will take time, and I can wait for it, I don't want him to rush and regret it afterwards.

Right now I am meeting everybody including Leo at the lunch, the lunch was organised by Elyse as she feels like it's been a long 2 weeks since we all hung out together.

It's more like a 'you have to attend this lunch at any cost' kind of lunch.

It's the last week of February and the wind is quite chilly, I could see everyone sitting around in a booth from outside the window.

I entered the Italian restaurant and got a very sharp glare from the receptionist because I was wearing a black high neck, with black high waistline jeans and a long nude overcoat unlike people wearing expensive dresses

Before she would throw me out of the restaurant, Leo made his way to me. I looked at him walking toward me, he is a fine piece of man. Sometimes makes me wonder what he saw in me.

"Hey, gorgeous," Leo said while giving me a long passionate kiss on the lips which made me stand on my tiptoes for a little longer than usual. I could hear the receptionist muttering something.

Leo released from the kiss, he looked perfect in contrast to me I could hear my rapid breathing and I am damm sure my cheeks are flushed red with a little swollen lip.

"Hi." I shyly said looking into his eyes directly. "We all have been waiting for you," Leo said while breaking the trance which made me realise the rest four idiots were looking at us and smirking.

They all are gonna tease me, especially Jul. God have mercy on me and my poor soul.

We both made our way to the table, Leo as always gentlemen pulled my chair to let me sit down and then he sat on my right.

"Sorry for the delay, have you guys ordered yet." I asked still avoiding everyone's eyes.

"Ya, we all ordered our drinks, your lover boy already ordered a pineapple soda for you, you guys did put a good show over there," Elyse said by playfully nudging my left elbow and everyone laughed.

He is not my lover boy, but still, I could sense my cheeks getting hot and Leo's hand caressing my hand gently under the table with an innocent smirk on his face.

I looked at Leo who was already looking at me, "thanks." I said in a low voice and he just simply nodded.

We all ordered our food and chatted about what we all have missed in these few weeks. Our food arrives and we all quickly dived into it.

"I was thinking, this weekend if everyone is free we can just go for a short vacation to Rhode Island, what do you think guys," Connor asked.

"Oh I can't, I am going back to Seattle this weekend." As these words left my mouth Jul choked on her food. Now every eye was on me.

"You are going alone?" Jul asked and I don't want Leo and others to know about my family drama. I know it will change everything after that.

"Ya, mom called...this morning, Lucas is getting married, dad wants me to be there," I murmured the last part, looking down at my plate. Till this time I already lost my appetite.

"Lucas is getting married, that's great, so that means you and Leo both are gonna be busy this whole weekend." Jul sheepishly said and I glared at her.

I know what this bitch is doing, she knows that dragging Leo between will prevent me from going alone to Seattle.

4 years back when my grandma passed away I went to Seattle to her funeral, everything went great, but after the funeral, my dad forced me to get married to the son of some businessman who would have helped him to open the branches of the firm in another city as well. I was agitated and he locked me in my room for 2 days straight. Hopeless, I agreed to get married because I was dying of hunger, as soon they let me out, our cook Nattiata helped me to escape from the house, till this day I never went back home.

She knows now, that Leo knows about the wedding and I can't say I don't want to take him with me because he will get hurt which I will not do.

Manipulative bitch.

"Ya we will be busy, I was about to ask him after lunch, but never mind." I looked at Leo and he wasn't smiling, he was suspicious with his eyebrows knotted.

I ignored him and started concentrating on my food, I listened to their conversation but didn't speak a single word and neither did Leo.

I can feel he is pissed. I could sense the heat in his eyes are boring in my body, but I dare not look at him.

Soon enough the lunch was over, and everybody got up from the table to leave, Leo pulled the chair for me as I stood up, but still, I didn't look at him.

We bid our goodbyes to everyone and I started to move in the direction where my car was parked, but Leo's hand stopped me.

His face was calm yet filled with many unanswered questions, "would you like to have a walk with me?." I could only nod at what he asked me.

We both walked our way to the Washington square park, our hands holding each other but no words were there between us. At last, I decided to break the silence.

"So will you fly with me to Seattle, I mean... Will you be my date for the wedding?" I asked and Leo stopped in his steps.

He took a loud sigh and smiled at me, "you don't have to ask me, just because you think I will feel bad." Leo said which left me dumbfounded.

"It's okay! I am not feeling bad and I am not bad, you don't feel comfortable you don't do those things." He said and at this time only thought that crossed my mind as I don't deserve him.

Any other person till this time would have eaten my ears off asking me about my family after the 'whore-text' scene, but he doesn't, he is still patient with me.

"No..no I want you to be there with me."

"Savanah I can read you, you are calculating some odds and I don't want you to overthink, go home and enjoy the wedding."

Enjoyment only if you know what hell is caged there, I am going there because I know if I won't dad will do his usual verbal abusing to mom and I don't want her to suffer more because of me.

"It's just that, my family is not like yours Leo, they are very uptight sometimes sarcastic and unavoidable. I just don't want you to get hurt there because of me. But at the same time, I want you to be there with me, I don't wanna go alone there, it's been 4 years since I went home, I can't go home, I want you there, I need you there please." I practically begged.

Okay! This was just 0.01% of the description of my family especially my dad mom and Lucas are good to me. And Leo will never get hurt there because he is rich and my dad loves rich people.

So I am more scared about me getting humiliated in front of him.

Leo kept listening to my long speech with confusion revolving in his eyes, I think I did a mistake asking him to accompany me, he will get more suspicious if dad got drunk at the wedding.

Trust me my dad getting drunk is the worst thing that could happen to mankind, no one has ever seen him drunk in public except for mom, me and Lucas.

"Fine, I will go but I need something in return." He asked which made me pray for myself not asking about my family.

"Kisses, I need a kiss after every 15 minutes on the flight." He grinned and I laughed.

"Gladly." I stepped a little forward and placed my hand on his jaw and pulled him towards the kiss.

This was the first time I initiated the kiss, his arms wrapped around my waist and pushed me towards his chest.

Abruptly I pulled back from the kiss seeing the disappointment on Leo's God-like face.

" I need you to promise me something, I know you are a man of your word so I know you will not break the promise," I said and Leo stood there looking at me like I have grown two heads.

"Go on," Leo said while placing both his hands on his waist.

"No matter what you will not speak rudely to any member of my family, even if they say something bad about me," I said.

Leo raised his right eyebrow at me giving me a look 'are you serious.'
