"Dr Savanah please check the heart rate," Cole said.

"Stable you can proceed Dr Nolic," I said.

Today I am assisting Cole with surgery on a patient who had a burnt face and had unstable heart conditions.

The anaesthesia can trigger the heart and can cause fast rhythmic beatings called arrhythmia. Which can put you through a heart attack.

I am just here for precautionary measures and almost his face is dealt with now.

Suddenly the patient's heart rate began to drop, he is having a heart attack.

I took over the patient and insert the balloon catheter over the guidewire, and then inflate it to open up the blockage by squeezing the fat and cholesterol (plaque) buildup against the arterial wall. This allows blood flow from the heart to resume the pumping of the heart.

Well, it only took me 45 minutes to remove the blockage.

The blockage was removed and the heartbeat was normal.

Cole took over and started to form the rest of his face. I stood there for maybe next time they need me but fortunately, my presence was not needed there anymore.

After the end of the surgery both me and Cole walked out of the Operation theatre and started to remove our gloves and other stuff.

"You did good Dr Savanah, I saw you doing the surgery you were very cool," Cole said with a smile on his face.

This smile was honest, it wasn't the one he gave me with Leo. It had an adoration for me but I didn't like that.

"Thanku Dr Nolic, but the most work was done by you and if I would have lost my cool we would have lost our patient," I said

"So what are you doing for the weekend," Cole asked.

"My Friday is busy but Saturday I don't have surgeries and my Sunday is a holiday for me," I said without even thinking why would he ask me.

"Great, would you by any chance want to go out for dinner with me like just catching up." He asked nervously fiddling with his fingers.

Cole was a brilliant surgeon but for the first time in a week, I saw him nervous.

Oh my God no I don't want to go out of him. My heart started to beat faster than usual not a good one.

I even told him my schedule now I can't make an excuse. Oh shit, Savanah you are nuts.

The only thing that can save me was Leo.

"Sure I will text Leo he can also join us I mean you both also know each other it would be fun with three of us," I said in one flow and I could see the sadness on his face.

"Ya I will also call one of my friends we all can go for it like a double date." He said with a challenging tone.

Jesus Christ, double date I have never even gone on a single date and I won't know who the girl might be, and what happens if Leo rejects the idea.

He is gonna be so angry with me, please help me, my God.

"Cool see you then there," I said.

"I will text you the details," Cole said and I left with a mini panic attack.

It's now 8 in the evening and I drove back to my apartment, today I didn't even meet Leo.

As I reached home I went to take a shower and remove all the blood smell from me.

As the warm droplets of water hit my skin, my thoughts drifted to a certain man with green eyes. Leo.

What would he think when he came to find out that I set him up on a date just to save my ass. I don't want him to look at any other woman than me.

Oh dear lord, where did that thought come from? Look at you Savanah he will run when he will found out how useless you are. Stop your absurdity.

I wrapped a towel around my body and went to find some big fluffy nightwear.

As I came out of my closet dressed I picked up my phone to see 15 missed calls and 20 + messages from Leo.

What happened to him? Is he okay? Oh my God Savanah he called you in the hour of his need and you were in a stupid shower.

I picked up my phone to call him, as I was about to hit the call button my apartment door banged.

As I reached the door the banging started to be loud and I could hear my name being called by a familiar voice.

It was Leo.

I hurriedly open the door and found Leo all sweaty and worry all over his face.

Leo rushed towards me and engulf me into a powerful hug which made me stumble back but Leo held me from falling on my back.

His hand were on my waist and was quite tight, his head was in my neck and I could feel his fast warm breath which made my legs shaky. If Leo wouldn't have held me I would be on the ground.

My hands find it's way to his back and I kept running them on his back.

"Leo are you okay?" I asked.

Leo pulled himself away from my embrace, "why weren't you picking up your phone." Leo asked

"I was in the shower I am so sorry, what happened to you are you well," I asked him again.

"Dammit Savanah!!" Leo snapped.

It scared me and I flinched back, Leo noticed and started to move towards me, unconsciously I started to move back.

Leo stopped I could see he was hurt by what I did. He stood there silent for a minute.

"You scared me, Savanah, you didn't pick up the phone for 20 minutes and didn't respond to my texts, I thought something must have happened to you," Leo said with a shaky voice.

"I am so sorry Leo I didn't mean to worry you, I must have cost you a fortune of your time, I am so sorry Leo you have to come here, I am so sorry I wasted your time," I said with my head hung low and tears starting to well up.

"ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS SAVANAH !!!!" Leo yelled his face was red, his muscles started to bulge out of his well-tailored suit.

Leo walked towards me slowly and he saw me wincing at his loud voice, but he stopped walking.

"You thought you wasted my time. How could you even think that?" Leo said.

Holy Jesus, you have probably lost his clients oh my God such a big loss he had because of me.

"You know my brain was running a thousand thoughts, I thought a couple of 100 bad things happening to you, on my way I prayed to God that you should be safe and sound and here you think you wasted my time." He said.

"I care for you a lot, Savanah. Don't you ever think you have wasted my time or anything on you. You are worth every beautiful thing in this world." Leo said.

"You care for me?" I sobbed.

"Yes Tesoro, a lot now stop crying I don't like tears in your eyes." He said.

Leo hugged me again, for the first time in my life I felt someone cares for me, he makes me feel so special.

I know Leo is not just my friend anymore, I don't want him like a friend now. I want him more. I want him to want me more too.

I pulled away from the hug but Leo didn't let me go, he pulled me back to his chest and I laughed at his stubbornness.

"Go get fresh we will have dinner," I said.

"Sure what you wanna order," Leo asked while searching his phone.

"I will cook, the washroom is in the room I will give a towel," I said and Leo went to my bedroom to use the washroom.

I started to boil some Tagliatelle in saltwater and I started to cut some vegetables for Bolognese.

After some time Leo came out of the washroom and sat at the kitchen aisle, while I was cooking.

I wanted to tell him about Cole and to persuade him to come with me but I didn't want to ruin his appetite.

I soon plated our food and brought our plates to the couch, Leo opened the bottle of red wine and we both sat and started to eat our food silently, except for Leo who kept making different sounds while eating.

"This is the best Bolognese I have ever eaten, I wish I could eat it every day," Leo said while stuffing his mouth.

"Don't flatter me Leo, and I will you pack you some to take home with you," I said and Leo grinned.

"Leo I wanna talk to you about something," I said.

" yup sure," Leo said while still eating.

"Will you go on a double date with me, Cole and one of his friends is gonna be there," I said and Leo choked on his food.

I explained everything and I must have at least apologised to him ten times.

"You set me up on a date," Leo asked.

"Leo I told you it's not a date, you don't have to talk to the girl if you don't want." well I hope you don't.

"I don't give a fuck about the girl Savanah." He said.

"No problem I am sorry if you don't want to come I will tell Cole," I said honestly said

Why would you have to drag an innocent man into your mess? Leave him alone for a second.

"Yeah fuck no, and let you go alone with him, I will come with you," Leo said.

"Saturday evening, be ready." I grinned.

I was happy that Leo was gonna be there with me but at the same time, I was hoping he doesn't like the girl who will be there with Cole.
