"What should we do with the recently arrived packages ?"

Jimin looked up when he heard another question from the attendant.

And he barely held back a sigh.

It turned out that Jin actually did a lot more than he expected.

He knew it was going to be tough but didn't know that it will be a lot more tougher than that.

And he also had his dance course which also required some extra efforts.

It was not easy for him to manage both. But he was not going to give up.

Also Taehyung tried his best to help him all the time and Jimin can't be any more grateful.

It took some time for him to adapt to the absence of Jin.

It hit him when he didn't see Jin lounging on his usual couch with a book in his hand.

It was a struggle but he was not going to give up.

Also as the days passed by he was starting to enjoy it all.

He did have more power in his hands which was a plus. Although he didn't think about it a lot.

Yoongi was being his usual sweet and supportive self and it made him smile a lot more.

His parents haven't contacted him since his visit. And he planned to keep it like that for the time being.

He was in no mood to deal with them when he has bigger responsibilities.

With Jin leaving he took on the duty to check on Namjoon and make sure he is taking care of himself.

The elder was quieter than before. But he can't do anything about it.

Namjoon should be the one to fight his own battles.

He can just offer some support.

"The one that were actually ordered by any of us should be sent to our rooms,ask Hoseok hyung he will be able to tell you that."

"And place the complementary packages from brands and other business partners in my study."

"I'll have a look at them later."

Oh,yeah right.

He now has a study of his own.

Yoongi insisted on it and he actually loved his own personal space.

"Yes,sir."

He was looking at his iPad searching for a specific type of dance movement when he was interrupted again.

"Yes ?"

"There's someone at the door."

He nodded and got up,fixing his suit up.

"Who ?"

"Mr. Kim."

"Taehyung's dad ?"

"Yes."

"Okay,let him in and go get Taehyung."

"But if he is sleeping let him. Don't wake him up. He looked so tired this morning."

"Okay,sir."

The attendant bowed and left.

He also walked out of the living room to greet the guest right outside.

Mr.Kim tilted his head to the side confused as he saw Jimin approach him.

"Where's Jin ?" He wondered and didn't mean to say it outloud but he did before he could stop himself.

But Jimin didn't look at him with any offence but rather the younger was carrying a bright smile.

"I am sorry. I didn't mean it like that."

"It's just it is Jin who usually greets or welcomes me first."

"It's totally fine."

"And Jin hyung went to stay with his parents for some time."

"So,from now on it'll probably me that will welcome you first for a while."

"I hope you don't mind."He joked.

Ofcourse, he knew that the other didn't mind it a bit.

"How can I ? When my other son greets me,huh ?"Mr. Kim chuckled and opened his arms.

"How are you ?"Jimin asked as he hugged him.

"I'm doing good."

"But do visit the old man sometimes. I missed you."

"Me,too."

"I missed you,Dad."

The younger smiled softly.

"Would you like some tea ?"

He asked as he guided the elder back to the living room.

"Oh, definitely."

Jimin looked at the attendant who was standing in the corner and the other nodded walking to the kitchen.

When Jimin turned to the elder. He was blessed with a bright warm smile.

"I heard you have taken liking to the dance course in a university near by from Taehyung."

"Tell me about it."

"I want to hear it all."

And the younger chuckled.

It looked like next few hours were going to be spent in the most beautiful way with a great company.

Soon Yoongi also got there from work and smiled when he saw the elder.

"Good afternoon,Mr. Kim."

He bowed and the elder gave him a polite smile.

"Good afternoon, Yoongi."

"How are you ?"

"I'm fine."The other replied and sat down on the same couch as his husband.

He held a backpack in his hand which Jimin looked at with a frown.

"What's that ?"He asked.

"Oh,yeah give this to Taehyung. It has all the notes of the topic that he was having trouble in."

"A friend of mine is an assistant professor and he was eager to help out."

"Oh really ?"

"Yeah."

"That's really good then. Taehyung was up all night trying to find them."

"He'll be able to relax now."

Yoongi nodded.

And Mr. Kim looked at them with a curious gaze.

"How is he ?"

"Oh,I think he's asleep."

"You know that college can be a real pain."

"Jungkook must have coaxed him into sleeping."Answered Jimin.

But the elder continued to stare at them with a pensive gaze.

"Where is my son-in-law then ?" He asked.

Yoongi frowned a little at his odd behaviour.

The elder was definitely not being his usual self.

"In the office."

"And I just wanted to work from here after lunch."

"Oh,okay."

Mr. Kim got up.

"I think I should leave now."

"Take care,Jimin."

"And Yoongi."He gave the latter a nod.

But the youngest got up with him.

"So soon ?"

"Don't you want meet Taehyung ?"

"I'm sure if you wait he'll wake up in a while."

Mr. Kim looked at him with a small smile.

"I can't."

"I'll meet him next time. Don't worry."

"Atleast I got to meet my one son,huh."

And Jimin chuckled nodding.

"Yes."

"Then, I'll see you soon."

Both the youngest bowed as the elder left.

And Yoongi gazed at the direction he left from.

"What ?"Questioned Jimin.

And he shook his head.

"Nothing."

"Just felt like he was not his usual self."

But the younger shook his head.

"Nah."

"I don't think so."

"Yeah ?"

"Yes."

"I hope you're right then."

The clock on the wall showed that it was closed to being 5 pm in the day when Jungkook heard his phone ring.

He looked away from the big screen and took his phone in his hand and answered the call without even looking at the screen.

"Hello."He said.

His voice coming up tired and low because of the amount of work he did today.

And he was behind because he spent all his morning trying to coax Taehyung to take a nap.

The younger was very much stressed because the mid semesters were around the corner and he did not have exactly prepared for it.

Jungkook was trying to help him to the best of his abilities.

And it left him worn out. But he definitely wasn't complaining.

He was glad that he was able to help out the younger in any way.

And the atmosphere around the mansion was not exactly helping in this situation.

He was sure at this point everyone in the house were weary and exhausted.

"Jungkook ?"A voice called and he immediately sat up straight.

"Dad ?"

"Yes."

The younger frowned.

Mr. Kim never talked to him in a tone like that.

He sounded so serious.

He was never like this.

"Are you free at the moment ?" The older asked.

The younger immediately pushed aside the files and leaned away from the computer.

Work could definitely wait.

"Yeah,I am."

"Do you need anything ?"

"Yes,actually."

"I am right outside your company's building."

"What ?"

The younger immediately stood up from his chair.

"Yeah."

"Right near your company there's a park."

"I'm sure you are aware of it."

"I am,yes."

"Good."

"Then can you meet me there ?"

"Definitely."

"I am leaving my cabin as we are speaking."

"Good."

"See you then, Jungkook."

With that the older man hung up and the younger stared at the device bemused.

Something is definitely not quite right.

He felt it when he talked to his father in law.

And even the thought of it sent frenzy in younger's mind.

Nerves high from the sudden appearance of Mr. Kim. The bloke forced himself to get out of his office.

He hoped everything was right.

He did hope.

But a sudden visit from his father in law who was acting cold all so suddenly with him when usually he is one of the most warmest person the younger have ever met definitely can't be good.

When Jungkook reached the park he saw Mr. Kim sitting on one of the benches.

And then he looked around and found it to be almost empty.

He couldn't even see more than two individuals that were just taking a quiet walk there.

He took a deep breathe and walked to stand beside the older man.

"Good evening,dad."He greeted and bowed.

The elder just nodded in an non-chalant manner and with his head gestured the younger to take a sit next to him.

Jungkook frowned and did what he was told silently.

No one talked for a few minutes.

The elder was too busy staring in the distance and the younger too anxious to speak.

"You know, Jungkook--"

Mr. Kim said with a sigh.

"Life is tough. We are never given an easy way out, right ?"

And the bloke gave a hesitant nod.

Not sure where they were going with this.

"But we are given some people that makes the life more enjoyable and fun,right ?"

Another silent nod.

"For me, they are my family."

"My wife and my little Taehyungie."

"They were my world,you know."

"But then my sweet Ji-hye left me all alone to take care of our son."

"Left my world."

"And now my son is the only one in my world."

"Because of him I don't feel as alone as I should."

"He is my light."

"I love him so much."

"Remember that I said something to you on the day of your marriage."

"I told you to take care of him."

"Did you take care of him, Jungkook-ah ?"

"Did you ?"

The younger looked down ashamed. There were so many things he wanted to say but he couldn't just word any of it.

But he wasn't going to lie.

So,he bit his lips and shook his head and he barely stopped himself from flinching when the other chuckled bitterly.

"Atleast you didn't lie to me."He muttered under his breath.

"I thought I was very attentive towards my son but it went on for two years and I never saw it."

"Never found anything wrong."

"I blame myself partly."

Jungkook took a sharp breathe at that and shook his head.

"No, please don't blame yourself."

"It's all me."

"All my fault."

"Blame me."

But the elder smiled softly.

"Who is not at fault here, Jungkook ?"

"I am,you are, Taehyung is and your family."

"Everyone is."

"Taehyung didn't do this for you to get hurt."The younger tried to explain.

"I know."

"My son just didn't want me to see him pain."

"I know why he did that."

"He is just like his mom in every way after all."

"Do you know why I am here talking to you and not taking my son away from here ?"

Jungkook looked at the older shocked as he finishes his last sentence.

"No, please."He exclaimed loudly.

Fear engulfing his whole body. He can't loose Taehyung.

Jungkook can't loose Taehyung.

He is his only anchor.

"Please don't take him away from me."

"I beg you."

The youngest heir of Jeon industry begged for the first time.

"Don't worry,boy."

"I won't."Mr.Kim assured with a kind smile.

"Your reaction just now definitely made me feel better about my decision."

"What decision ?" He asked scared.

"The decision to let you prove yourself."

"What ?"

Mr. Kim chuckled.

"Well you see even if I did fail to read my son in the past."

"I don't think I failed him this time."

"I can see in his eyes that how much you have improved."

"How much you have changed."

"I saw it in your actions with my son."

"And I saw how your family adores him."

"Call it old man's stupidity or whatever but I want to give you a chance."

The younger breathed in relief.

"Do you know why it was not tough to give you a chance but I'll also say that it wasn't easy either ?"

"Why ?"

"Because son--"

"Taehyung's mom also gave me a chance to improve myself and be a better man for her."

"And what do you think I did ?"

"Be a better man."The younger answered.

And the older laughed fondly.

"You are damn right."

"I did."

"Now,will you take care of my son,Jeon Jungkook ?"He asked in all seriousness.

And he nodded with determination set in his eyes.

"I will."

"I will take care of him to the best I can."

And the elder nodded satisfied.

"Good."

"That's what I want to hear."

"But remember this--"

"If you failed this chance, forget about Taehyung."

"Because you'll never see him again."

Jungkook looked up startled and eyes wide from the fear.

But the elder just smiled acting like he didn't just threaten him a moment ago and shrugged.

"I am a father afterall."
