「…Why do I let them use me…」
The room was filled with sounds of a creaking bed and hot, steamy air.
A man could be seen rigorously moving back and forth while panting. A bead of sweat moved down his chin as his tongue laid out his mouth in ecstasy.
"Huff… Huff… That feel good, baby?"
A female with short pearly hair was on the bottom of him, looking lifeless with her hands open on the bed. She peered to the side and murmured:
"… Sure."
The lights were turned off as the two copulated in the hotel room.
"Aah!" The man exclaimed, then fell on top of the woman while letting out a sigh then gasping for air.
"So… All the rumors around the office were true then. You are just a fucking slut."
The woman looked up at the ceiling with listless pupils.
"… Guess so."
. . .
The mirror was coated in steam as the hot water ran from the showerhead. A woman in her younger twenties let it run down her hair and bathe her soft skin.
「...I feel so weak… What's keeping me from doing what I want… 」
She turned the shower handle, and the water stopped coming down. The woman stepped out of the bath and looked at the steamed mirror, wiping it with her palm.
The woman was quite stunning when it came to looks. However, her languid eyes and vague expression made her seem spiritless, as if she was just a mere carcass.
She walked out of the restroom and sat on the bed, facing away from the fast asleep man.
「…Would it just be easier if I let myself die… 」
. . .
"Ha, yeah, right!"
A group of men and women in business attire stood around a water cooler laughing. A female walked past them as one of the males in a blue suit turned her way.
"Hey, Calina!"
A pair of silver earrings and necklace swayed on the girl as she looked back, clasping a stack of papers close to her chest.
The man looked the woman up and down lustfully. Her hourglass figure was complimented by her white-silk blouse and gray-plaid short dress. Fishnet stockings showcased her legs that went down to a pair of glossy black heels.
"I need you to run some errands for me… Be a good intern and check your email for a list of chores I need you to do."
She bowed her head and turned to the side, continuing to move down the hallway.
"Tamiki!" A young lady exclaimed, nudging him on his chest. "You're so bad! Don't make her do all your work."
"Whaaat? She's fine... Calina likes to help us around here!"
「…Why do I never tell him no…I have enough work to do on my own… 」
Calina steps into a dimly lit room with wooden columns housing multiple containers and papers. She turns on the light and puts down the stack of papers on a table next to a copier.

A man wearing a gray suit with greased black hair walks into the room and closes the door.
Calina ignores him while placing a paper on top of the copier.
"You got a minute Calina?"
He walked over and stood behind the woman. He pressed his groin against her ass.
"How long… Have you been at this firm?"
The man brushes her hair with his hand while giving her neck a sniff.
"… About four months… I finished college and was offered a job here."
He stops brushing her hair and dips a hand in her blouse, caressing her breast from inside of her bra.
"And how long do you plan to stay here?"
Her hand hung above the 'Start' button of the copier.
"I need to hear an answer. It's… Company Policy that we make sure all of our interns are aligned with our values. You understand, right?"
She gazed down to the man's knee, intruding through her skirt.
"… As long as you need me."
—THWACK
Her face gets slammed into the front surface of the printer. A hand is pressed against her neck as her skirt is lifted up from behind her.
—ZIP
The man undoes his trousers and smiles.
"Good answer."
「…Could it be that… I'm already dead… 」
. . .
"You're an excellent employee Ms. Iada… But, you never seem motivated."
Calina stood in front of the desk of her supervisor. A heavy man with a shaven head, wearing an expensive-looking gray suit with a navy blue tie. The room had windowed panes showing the city below as well as the adjacent skyscrapers in the vicinity.
Her boss aligned a crooked pen on his desk then looked up at the girl.
"Is everything alright? Are you having trouble adjusting to your new position?"
「…I should mention all the men doing those shameless things to me… 」
"A—"
She closes her mouth and bites on her tongue.
「…But what would he think of me then… 」
"Hm? Is there something you'd like to say?"
「…What if he thinks ill of me and fires me…Or worse…He starts doing it too…. 」
She clenches her skirt and gives off a faint smile.
"Nothing, sir, I'll try my best."
The workday ends, and Calina walks through the lower-level parking lot of her company building. The clicking noise made from her heels resonates through the large garage.
"Hey, Calina! Go drinking with us!"
She stops advancing then turns around.
The same group of males and females from earlier are seen loading into a black SUV.
"C'mere, don't be shy!" A male in the blue suit leans on the car beckoning to her.
「…Tell him that you don't feel like drinking and you want to go home… 」
Another male, this one wearing a light-gray suit, pops his head from out of the truck.
"It's fine if you don't want to drink! We just need someone to drive us all home after we get totally plastered!"

「…Do it…Tell him… 」
"Well, if you're going to be that way, this is an order from your lead manager!" He smirked while hopping into the passenger seat of the vehicle.
Calina sighed and walked towards the car. She stepped into the driver's seat and clipped her seat belt.
"THATTA GIRL!" One of the suits yelled in the back.
"Woo, Calina! Finally gets to hang out with us!" Another woman puts her hand in the air, chanting.
「…Maybe I could make some friends this way… 」
The car engine starts, and Calina shifts the gear into 'Drive,' pulling off from the company building's garage.
They pulled up to their favorite bar and swarmed out of the car laughing as they opened the door. Calina paced behind them, keeping her head to the ground.
Inside the club, purple and blue lights were swung around the room. The music played a mixture of heavy K-Pop and Electronica, making the room almost deafening.
"OVER HERE!" One of the males had to yell over the loud music being played.
He pointed towards a VIP lounge consisting of several sofas being placed in a box formation.
The entirety of the night was fun and drink after drink for her co-workers; While Calina sat alone in the corner of the lounge sipping on a glass of water. Multiple men tried to talk to her, but she kept to herself, either giving agitated looks or simply ignoring them.
"Hic… Ok guys... Lesh roll out!" The male in the gray suit pointed toward the door stumbling from his seat.
"Yesh, sir!" A female stood up and wobbled toward the exit.
The rest of her co-workers parade through the door as she follows them lingering behind. They make it outside and load into the black SUV.
"WOO! I dun feel tired at…" A male starts to snore in the back of the car as Calina fastens her seat belt.
"Take ush home, Calina!" Their designated driver starts the car and pulls off to the main street.
Calina yawns as they continue down a cliff road. The truck shakes due to the small gravel and rocks being mixed in with the cement.
"Peekaboo!" One of the office workers put their hands in front of Calina's line of sight.
"D-don't do that…." She shakes her head while still attempting to steer.
A medium-sized object tumbles into the road from the cliffside. Calina doesn't notice until the headlights shine in their pupils that it was a huma—
—THUMP THUMP
Calina slams the brakes, her eyes widened with shock.
"No need to stop, twas' probably a squirrel or somethin…" A male in the back suggested.
Calina unfastens her seatbelt and opens the car door. She steps out and looks to the road painted with red tire marks.
Another female stepped outside the car. "Jeez, why did we—"
"EEEEIIIK!"
The female co-worker let out a scream as she fell to the floor in horror.
The rest of the co-workers jump out of the car to investigate the noise.
"SHIT!" A male exclaims as he looks at the human carcass in the middle of the road.
"Fuck me, man… This ain't good; That's a fucking kid!"
Calina couldn't lift her gaze off the female. Red hair matched the bloodied and torn clothing that hung off her body.
"Fuck Calina! Why didn't you stop!"
"I didn't see…." She looked over to the co-worker on the floor and murmured:
"… And she shielded my eyes so…."
The woman got up and confronted her.
"OH, SO IT'S MY FAULT?!"
"Everyone, chill the fuck out... W-we'll just leave it here. No one will know…" A male blurted with a nervous laugh.
The group looked to the floor in silence.
"Yeah, what was that brat doing in the street anyway? It was her fault!" A male shouted, agreeing with the proposed solution.
"Yep, totally. We were totally drunk too, and it's dark so like, we couldn't see!" A female gave a dismissive wave and started walking back to the car. The group of co-workers started to follow her lead.
—Beep Beep Beep
The group stops and looms over their shoulders at Calina.
"The hell you think you're doing?" One of the males dashes over to her and grabs her by the shoulders.
"WE JUST KILLED HER, YOU BITCH; YOU WANT US TO GO TO JAIL?!"
Calina motions towards the girl. A small rasp can be heard in her direction.
"I think she's still alive… If we call an ambulance, we could get some hel—"
A woman runs over to her and pushes her to the floor.
"You really think someone's gonna believe that shit?! Give me the goddam phone!"
Calina slides backward across the concrete and is met with a metal traffic barrier.
A man starts to advance toward her with his hand opened towards her.
"Give us the phone Calina, we all have jobs and families. We can't afford to risk it all on something so—trivial!"
「…Why would I ever want to be friends with these types of people… 」
Calina leans onto the barrier while glaring at her co-workers. She looks down at her phone and pushes the number-1 twice in a row.
"YOU DUMB BITCH!" The woman from before dashes over to Calina and wrestles for the cellular device.
"Wait! WAIT!" One of the men exclaimed as Calina fell over the side of the barrier.
"DAMMIT!" The co-workers run over to the ledge and loom over. Looking for any sight of the girl.
All that's available is a huge cliff leading to a dark forest at the bottom.
The air surrounding Calina's ears ring as she falls through the sky. Beads of water come from her closed eyes as she braces for impact.
「…Is this…How I die…? 」
—THUMP

Adelaide
The entries here are transcribed from the log of Marie Ruiz, first mate of the Adelaide. It was definitely, definitely not published without her permission or knowledge by a certain lovable artificial intelligence for the purpose of sharing it with my AI friends on other ships who follow it like a soap opera. No way, no how. Remember guys, don’t go spreading this around too much. Only pass it on to those you can trust. God forbid this should ever end up on a public network… (Adelaide is a science fiction web serial featuring the adventures of a crew of smugglers. In space. It’s on the softer end of the soft/hard sci-fi spectrum because the author got a C in physics. Updates every other Sunday.)

A Nation of Distances (possibly a dystopian love story)
Michael lives in a toxic macho world with extreme male hierarchy. When he gets a weird rating that makes his place even more problematic he's forced to choose a fiancée at a Wife School, and he slowly discovers more about the other side of the great divide between the sexes in The Nation. If only the world would stop being so complicated... On the other side there's Megan, who's more interested in books than in marriage, and the unpredictable Eliza who seems to have a connection with Micheal already. Will they be able to cross the distance and become friends against all the rules of their own world, or will they just be crushed? Are positive relationships between men and women even possible? And is there a way to change the world or is that just a naive thought of a silly wimp? 'A Nation of Distances' is a slightly dystopian dialogue-heavy drama set in a low sci-fi future setting about the war between the sexes, disconnect and friendship. The genre will fluctuate in between more slice-of-life parts and soft sci-fi drama with possible romantic elements, with alternating lead and switching perspectives once more of the main characters are established. Content Warning: Certain concepts and scenes might be disturbing and/or triggering to some, even though the story itself won't be extremely heavy most of the time. Sexism as a double-edged sword destructive to both sexes is an important part of the story, but so is friendship.Note that all descriptions of persons and places are purely fictional and made up by the writer, and any resemblance with anything in the real world is a coincidence, since the real world is not supposed to be dystopian anyway!

Shadow Emperor
In a world of magic where those who can wield the elements reign supreme our hero Savani finds himself reborn with a strange Assistance chip. Watch as he climbs higher and higher in a world far different than the one he knew and develop strength enough to stand at the top. ** Warning this story has a very slow boil as the MC begins to grow in power from scratch. Starts picking up around chapter 25. As story progresses themes of slavery, human experimentation, and some sexual content will be added. ** This is a story inspired by novels like Warlock of a Magus World and Age of Adept. I will be taking some ideas from each but trying to make my own story using the world ideas i love from these novels. I am also a first time writer mainly doing this while trapped inside due to the events going on in the world. So feedback is appreciated.
