《Emerald》73

We landed on a beach, with a small house in the distance.
The sky was dark gray, and it was raining.
I laid in the sand, as the cold waves hit my clothes.
Besides the pain that still danced around inside my body, that soul crushing feeling was weighing me down.
"Is everyone alright?" Hermione yelled out.
"Yeah." I spoke quietly.
I pushed myself up into a sitting position.
I looked over to see Harry, holding Dobby.
He was holding him just like he held Cedrick.
"Hermione, help! Do you have anything?!" Harry cried out.
Blood flooded from Dobby's chest, as Harry pulled the dagger out.
Hermione shook her head, as she looked at the ground.
I covered my mouth, as tears filled my eyes.
Dobby was gonna die.
Dobby gave Harry a soft smile.
"Such a beautiful place, to be with friends. Dobby is happy to be with his friend, Harry Potter." Dobby spoke softly, before he took his last breath.
Dobby's eyes lost their sparkle, as he passed.
I got up, and walked over to Harry.
I sat at his side, as he held Dobby's lifeless body.
Luna was out of the house by now, and came and sat by us.
"We should close his eyes, then he could be sleeping." Luna spoke with sorrow.
Harry nodded, as the tears fell from his cheeks.
"We're going to bury him. Properly, with out magic. " Harry announced to us.
...
After we laid the house elf to rest, we then all sat inside.
I sat at a window, looking off into the distance.
"You don't look as rough as you feel." Luna spoke, as she sat down next to me.
"I look pretty damn rough." I said, as I looked at my reflection in the window.

My hair was greasy, and snarled.
I had a deep cut on my lip, from Bellatrix, and one on my forehead from falling.
My face and clothes had dried blood and dirt on them.
My eye was black, and swelling shut.
My face was black, and blue.
My clothes were dirty, and tattered.
I felt dirty, bruised, and broken.
I looked beat and tired.
"You're not broken yet, still in one piece." Luna comforted me.
"I feel like I am. I may not look broken, but I need fixing. Damn, I'm exhausted." I huffed.
Everything hurt.
My body, my heart, and my soul.
I was just done with everything.
"Well, you've gotten this far without throwing in the towel. That has to mean something." Luna gave me a reassuring smile.
I looked at her long, and hard.
"I'm just so sick of everything. Everyone keeps dying, and I can't help but think... why can't it just be me. Bellatrix used the cruciatus curse on me, why couldn't she just have killed me?!" I shook my head.
"It's because Draco's one of them. You're angry, because you have feelings for him that you can't control." Luna's voice was soft, soothing.
I hated that she spoke the truth.
I hated that after everything, I still felt the same about Draco.
"I hate it, Luna." I degraded myself.
Harry walked over quickly, and stood behind Luna and I.
Our heads turned toward him.
He had just gotten out of the shower, he was in fresh clothes too.
"You can hate it all you want, but you and Malfoy are the only reason we made it out of Malfoy Manner." Harry spoke sternly.
"What do you mean?" Luna asked Harry.
"From what Hermione said, Draco begged them to stop. You both have soft spots for each other, weather you like it or not. That promise you two made, has a grip around Draco's heart. Because of you, he had his guard down. Because of you, he let us go." Harry pointed at me, as he talked.

No matter how much I hated it, it wasn't going to change the fact that Draco did save me.
By saving me, it saved them.
"Oh yeah," Harry spoke again as he handed me my wand, "got these back too."
Harry smirked as he held a hand full of wands.
He had taken most of their wands, as well as our own back.
"Thanks." I managed to say, as I took my wand back.
"Yeah, now go shower." Harry told me, as he took my hand to help me up to my feet.
I entered the bathroom.
It was small, but cute.
They had set out towels, and fresh clothes for me.
This was the first shower I had in a while, and man it felt good.
As the water ran off of my body, it was discolored from all the blood and grime.
I scrubbed myself, until my skin was red and raw.
Not only because I was filthy, but because all I could feel on my skin... was Draco's touch.
What a love hate relationship I have with his touch.
Maybe because I continued to tell myself, if you just keep telling yourself you hate him, you eventually will stop loving him.
I couldn't even believe the lies I told myself.
I finished up my shower, and quickly got dressed.
As I opened the bathroom door, there stood Harry, Ron, and Hermione.
"He's ready to speak." Hermione told me.
"Who?" I questioned her.
"The goblin."

The Complete Alchemyst book 1
You've heard of superheroes, seen them flying across the sky, destroying great swaths of cities and ending countless innocent lives in order to defeat great evils and world-spanning threats and sell lots of sponsorships and merchandising opportunities. This is a story about the guy that is not those heroes. A supervillain in a world where making the right friends and political contacts is what separates the good guys from the bad. The Alchemyst is a story about a normal guy in a crazy world that spends his time trying to follow his dreams and conscience, working on new potions, thinking about girls, and lifting heavy shit, while trying to stay under the radar of the superheroes, supervillains, and governments that want what he can do. And occasionally turning them into makeshift melee weapons. If you enjoy The Boys, the Aberrant roleplaying game, Mystery Men, Trashy romances, Arnold Schwarzenegger movies, or SAW you may enjoy this book. Please note that this book has extremely graphic and sometimes gross fight scenes, heroes as villains, villains as heroes, opinionated and often politically incorrect characters, some graphic sex scenes, dad jokes, dirty jokes, realistic depictions of romance and flirting, bondage and dominance themes, and more than a few cuss words when they are really appropriate. This is NOT a superhero genre deconstruction. Many heroes truly are heroes, and they don't all need to be destroyed to make a good story, but it does look into the dark side of superpowers and the unreasonable and often contradictory demands placed on exceptional people.
