《Potestera- Race for Power》Ch 109 Little Girl

Soon he found that the esoteric lions shot from the bow had not gone away, they had returned, and were following him to deliver his death.
“ Hahaha You stupid imbecile! You think I'll let you escape once more and employ your disgusting tricks, the Divine Beasts won’t cease until they tasted your blood hahahaha! Here run away from this!”
Junifay shot out even more Divine Beasts of different kinds: hawk like, snake like, ox like, soon a whole beast stampede of energy was after Kemoro with the intention of disintegrating him.
Dangerously Kemoro found himself in a very dire situation, having to dodge both the Divine Beasts and the arrow shots from the Divine Slaves.
But there wasn’t any look of panic upon Kemoro’s face.
As he had asked in the beginning of the battle, he had found out who was the most foolish one of them both.
And he knew it wasn’t him.
When the Mersirens attacked Kemoro once more with a barrage of arrows, Kemoro evaded with skillful and impressively speedy ability, and after doing so he immediately countered, powerfully throwing two small cast iron rods straight through the Mersirens head.
The Mersirens had no time to react, and were instantaneously impaled to the trees behind them, finally receiving their freedom from false Divine bondage.
Soon their bodies scattered away in the atmosphere.
Junifay became enraged once more as the amount of Divine Treasures he had wasted on the scum in front of him was not small.
It would cost him a fortune to replace them.
But in the end he set his anger aside, anything was worth securing the treasure that awaited him.
Soon Junifay grew impatient and decided to use the quickest move he had, in order to nail the annoying fly.
He prepared another arrow shot, this one would be his ‘Dragonfly Shot’ and almost unavoidable Technique.

But right as he let it loose, Kemoro released one of his disrupting balls, and dispersed the shot before it struck; simultaneously he cut himself and with the blood that flowed out from the cut he had received and slathered it on his steel balls, and struck his pursuing beasts.
Despite the steel balls not being made out of disrupting material the beasts vanished away.
“How! It can't be! What did you do?”
“You idiot, you gave me the answer yourself, the beasts won't stop until they taste my blood.
So I have given them what they want.
Since you have revealed yourself to be a bigger fool, suffer the consequences of your foolishness.”
In an instant he threw a barrage of tar balls that struck Junifay who had basically zero Martial or Physical training, and pinned him down with searing hot tar balls that not only burned his skin and robes, all the metal parts of his armor were also being corroded.
Only after he activated one more Divine Protection did the annoyance end.
But it was too late, even more projectiles were thrown at him, and these were aimed to kill.
Knowing that his opponent had the means to penetrate his Divine Protection, Junifay attempted to evade for the first time in the duel, his faith in the power of his blessings and items almost non-existent.
But the tar made it hard for him to move, as although at first it was only slimy, now it had begun to harden and restrict his movements.
Even with the buff of the Golden Tear, Junifay who had never received soldier training, was doomed to be pinned down by the powerful barrage.
Soon his body became riddled in holes, with many disrupting balls penetrating his body.
Junifay was put down once more.

But he still had hope, he still had one Divine Golden Tear left, right as he was going to make use of the Tear, a foot stopped him in his tracks.
Junifay started to panic!
He had never felt fear of someone other than the Emperor in all his life.
He didn’t know what to do.
He felt.
Like the man in front of him had somehow sealed all his movements.
“ Who! Who are you!?”
“A man who is less foolish than you, Martial Sage Kemoro.”
Kemoro knew the man in front of him was evil and ruthless, so he took no chances and ended the battle decisively.
With a powerful stomp he crushed Junifays throat, and ended Junifays Ranker career, and any other ambitions he carried.
“Congratulations Martial Sage Kemoro, the world of A Ranks welcomes your arrival. Will you make yourself at home or perish like a moth to a fire? I’m eager to find out.”
Kemoro had grown accustomed to the Seeiers double edged comments so he paid it no mind.
Had people of knowledge been present at the battle, people would be amazed to see a Martial Artists of the Warrior Class, out range a Divine Energy Expert, perhaps the strongest ranged Experts in Potestera.
But Kemoro’s ‘Heavenly Arm Technique’ had reached a level that had yet to be seen in the Expert World.
He was unrivaled in the Art of Ball Throwing, how far such a skill would take him was yet to be seen.
He walked towards the direction Junifay had tried to head to before, there behind a hill, hiding behind a bush, was a little girl that was crying.
“Don’t worry little one, you no longer have to fear.”
The girl looked up and nodded in understanding, still afraid, but knowing that she was safe.
Little did Kemoro know that his statement of assurance would soon be put to the test, as his actions against the Emissary would put his Martial Skills against the whole might of the Divine Mightos Empire.
In a gesture of kindness, Kemoro had put not only the validity of his Combined Fighting Method, but also his life, on the line, in the ultimate test of survival.
One that few people had ever managed to survive.

The Egg Guardian
First and foremost, I must apologize as this story is currently on an indefinite hiatus. School, my main project, and writer's block have gotten in the way. I was rather unprepared when I began posting this and kind of just did it on a whim. Thus, I shall ensure I am thoroughly prepared before posting anything else, but I plan to return to this someday to conitnue it. What better retirement plan for a scumbag than to become a demon? Whether he likes it or not, that's Berrick's only choice. Heaven thinks hell is getting a little lukewarm and Berrick is just the guy to heat things up again. Follow Berrick as he works for home and hell as one of the few Egg Guardians. Author's note: Are you looking for bad writing, terrible dialogue, short chapters, and slow releases? Then you've come to the right place! This is honestly just something I'm writing for fun and figured I'd publish while I'm working on my main project, but I always appreciate constructive criticism so I can improve.
