>> Drying up my body, the two maids assist me going back in my room. Inside is another maid standing, waiting for me.
“Master, I reckon you had an enjoyable bath with them.” a snicker and sneer gaze lure up on her eyes.
“What are you talking about?” I asked, and turn to look at the three. “Kroni here thought that you did take a bath with them, no?” ther girl, named Kroni, nonchalantly replied.
What the…? “Kroni, we’re not doing that.” Aeshma defended. Her sneer turned sour from Aeshma’s reply.
“And here I thought, I can share intimacy with Master.”
I don’t know why, but she’s acting like a pervert. “Your perverse mood, please curb it. It’s not good to look indecently to our future King.”
Another maid comes in. “Eisheth, you’re here.” Kroni turns around to look behind. “Master, I apologize on behalf of Kroni’s perverse thoughts.” She then bows.
Her humble thoughts swayed me out; she’s like a pure lady. “No, no harm done.” I answered. “And please, refrain yourselves to call me ‘Master...’ I am not royalty.”
As Eishet raised her head, our eyes meet. “We can’t disobey the request of the Queen.”
Resilient and firm, she replied.
“Eishet, you’re intimidating our Master here.” Alecto called out. Eishet then turns to her and nods. “Sorry.” She uttered timidly.
“It’s all right. You don’t need to apologize. But, calling me your master isn’t something you should oblige to do so. I mean...”
“Even if you don’t want to, we, the maids here are your servants. We’re oblige, not for your highness, but also in the Kingdom.”
Kroni interjected. “We’re doing our work as servants of this Kingdom. And serving you as our King (to-be) is our top priority.”
The three nods in agreement from her statement. Looks like there’s nothing for me to do about the status. I am their expected-to-be King.

Sighing languidly, I look at the four of them. “Then, at least be casual to me. If you can’t neglect the fact that I am your King and Master, then you should at least, act comfortably around me.”
“What do you mean?” Eishet asked, with cautiousness on her voice. The three looked at me as well with scrutiny. “I want you to be my friends. Though, this is kind of... ‘awkward...’”
Smiling sheepishly, I scratched my head. “...Is that really what you want?”
Aeshma show reluctance, as she asked that question. “Yeah, at least, for the meantime, until your Queen finds a suitable King—-"
“That won’t happen.” Right that instant, Kroni replied.
“Our Queen is decided to take you as our King, for good. And you can’t do anything about it.”
Eishet interjected. Alecto and Aeshma gazes at me, showing confirmation on the two servants have said.
I feel the agitation again. The pressure shunned me completely. This really is the reality of my life here on this place. My absolution to the position of Demon King is mine alone to take.
“But we will take your offer to be casual on you, Master.” Smiling at me, Kroni added. “Yes, this is quite new... no one ever asked a servant to be his Master’s friend and be casual.”
Eishet added. Alecto and Aeshma looked at each other and nods.
The thought that I can’t persuade them to call me by my name won’t happen, yet, they’re open in my offer to be their friend.
I guess this is good enough...? “All right, the matter has been settled. Let’s go prepare our Master’s appearance on the Gala.”
Clapping her hands, Eishet speaks in a firm voice as the three quickly disperse to prepare. “Uh, guys—-"
Before I proceed, Eishet comes forward and loosen the knot of my robe, exposing my birthday suit.
“You’re scrawny, but a little hung there...” her eyes wander from my head downwards. “Ack! What do you think you’re doing!?” I quickly slouched while screaming.

“Master, your underwear.” Alecto walked forward while holding a white fabric of a short-like pattern. “I can wear it by myself!” grabbing it out of her hands, I turn around and quickly put it on.
It’s a little loose in my crotch. “Here, Master. Your trousers.” Aeshma asked. Then again, I quickly grabbed it on her hands, but she refused to lose it out.
“You don’t know how to wear this, so let me allow to help you out.”
I nod to her offer and puts it. The belt is another piece of fabric hanging on the waist. Kroni brings the linen long sleeve shirt and puts it on me. Eishet puts socks on my feet.
The four of them assist me thoroughly in wearing my clothes. As Alecto prepares a body-sized mirror, the preparation continues.
“It’s important you look like a noble.” Kroni utters as she puts a cravat on my neck.
“I’m a bit stuffy.” I grunt out. “You’re not used to it. Every noble on this Kingdom is invited in the celebration of the birth of the Queen, and this night is special.”
At last, after a few more modifications, I look at the body-sized mirror. I am like a noble, a 1700 Marquis from the Victorian Era.
“You look dazzling, Master.” With her hands crossed, Kroni uttered while gazing at me. She’s praising me like a finished masterpiece.
The three nods in agreement, as I heave a sigh.
“I am not used to wearing this.” I utter. “You should be now.” Eishet replied. “And now, for the final touch...”
She then walked forward with open arms. Right that moment, Eishet embraces me. “Uh... Ms. Eisheth—-"
“Since your scent as human smears out, I am doing this, at least to decrease it.”
“Eh...? That’s not fair! It’s not fair Eishet will hog Master’s attention! I want it too!” Kroni then goes behind and hug me as well.
“Hey! You guys!!” I grunt out of disbelief and awe. “As your servants, we are doing this for our Master.”
Seriously? What now...? Aeshma and Alecto just stand as the two squeezes their bodies. “All right, that should do it.” Eishet then got off of me. Kroni did same thing.
“I will report to the Queen that the King-to-be is ready.” Alecto then left the room.
“Now’s all set, let’s do this...” Aeshma called. “Tonight, you will be present as the candidate to the throne. The Queen will introduce you to the whole Kingdom as her husband-to-be.”
I took a gulped, making sure that the cravat doesn’t tighten hardly on my neck. Yet, the uneasy feeling rushes through my body.
“Fret not, Master. We’re here to secure you. As long as we, your servants are around, we will assure that you’re not in harm.” Kroni replied.
“And never avert your eyes off of the nobles. Don’t show you’re scared. We can smell your fear, and that makes our instincts kick.”
Eishet mumbled. “I know... but I can’t help it.” I utter. Yeah, due to this sudden event, I can’t reassure how long will I stay alive.
“.... But one is an exception.” Kroni’s eyes directly look at me. “Huh?” I asked.
“Lilith.” Aeshma interjected. Eishet’s expression turn grim. “Huh...?”
“No matter what happens, you won’t look at her eyes. If only she asks.”
A sudden shiver crawled out of my body as I heard that name. Silence suddenly reign, but a knock cracked it.
“Everyone, Master... the Queen’s expecting you in the Gala. Please proceed right away.” Alecto reported. The three then exits the room as I followed.
“This is it... I guess?” I utter in each step as I followed them towards the banquet of celebration.
