In 2008, humanity asked the age-old question: 'are we alone in this universe?'

When the fundamental question was finally answered, the reply echoed back from the most

unlikely place - from within.

Autumn of the following year, after the conspiracies had been thoroughly investigated

it was announced to the world that many of the creatures of myth and lore were real.

In a world similar to the one you know, but where your friendly neighbour could be a

Demonic being, or your local elected official, a blood-sucking Vampire or even a garden

variety Faerie, twenty-one-year-old Ana Speckhart is left questioning her identity

after her parents reveal a 'family secret' that tips her world upside down.

Attempting to come to terms with her new reality the best way a university knows how -

Ana chooses escapism and hits the town with her friends. When a chance encounter

leaves her entangled with someone who is also hiding part of their identity, Ana writes

off the escapade as a 'one-night-stand' and moves on.

So, what is a girl to do when her world falls apart, and the only person she can lean on

ends up being the subject of her casual tryst?
