《Stardust Universe》Chapter 2.29 - White - The Shogun's Pet

I thought being smug to Yumiko would be a good thing but that just made me seemed like an annoying person to her. That's why she shot me off the roof of the castle. The next thing I know was that The Chaos Shogun was standing in front of me together with his phoenix pet on his shoulder.
"Kitsuneki..." I slowly got up from the ground.
"To think that The Gashadokuro would annihilate all of you...I knew I shouldn't have relied on that beast." The Shogun sounded angry. "But summoning the beast was only a duty I've been tasked to do. It wasn't something that I need."
"Well...it's all gone now and that means you fail to fulfil your duty."
"Too bad because I actually fulfilled it, boy. But enough of that! I cannot believe that Yumiko would betray me. I should have known not to trust a human. This is why I despise them."
I countered his words, "That's because you did business with the wrong person. Yumiko is a cunning girl."
"But without me, she wouldn't have been her current self. I was the one who teaches her the art of cunning."
"Then looks like you've been a bad teacher."
"Maybe I should have just killed you when I found you lying on the ground. Your mouth needs to be ripped off of that face of yours." Kitsuneki raised his arm.
His Snow Phoenix flies up into the sky and made the entire graveyard filled with snow. It wasn't an instant change. It was kind of natural. A particle of snow slowly glides down to the ground and covers the ground.
"What are you doing?"
"I'm preparing your grave, of course. You'd think I would be the type to use a shovel?"
I laughed for a bit and said, "Here I thought you would be a no nonsense samurai. Apparently you can also make jokes."
"Yes. Jokes than can kill." Kitsuneki quickly charges up a chaotic energy in his hand.
He hurls the chaos ball towards me. I barely dodged the ball as a small part of my shirt was ripped off by the chaotic mass of energy. I brought out my dagger and ran toward him. I jumped and stopped the time for a few seconds. I actually faked my jumping attack and immediately moved behind him. Time continues to move as I successfully stabbed him from the back. I quickly moved away from him after that to avoid any counter attacks.

The Chaos Shogun however didn't budge from the stabbing at all as he nonchalantly turned behind. He begins to channel his energy and hits the ground with his fist. Before I was even able to do anything, tendrils started to appear from the ground below me and proceed to tie me up. It took a lot of my strength to rip off the tendrils from my bindings but I continued to fight as I threw my dagger to The Chaos Shogun.
He easily shrugs it off with his protected arm and proceeds to channel another chaos ball. But little did he know, I actually switched my current location with wherever my dagger was thrown off by using my Space Manipulating ability, Blink. I immediately release a small lightning barrage that manages to electrocute The Champions of Chaos. But from the looks of it, he doesn't seem to be feeling any severe pain from the electrocution as he was still charging up his chaos ball.
His snow phoenix suddenly struck down and grabbed me from behind. It then carried me to the sky as I struggled to let go from the phoenix's grip. Kitsuneki threw his chaotic ball at our direction. I quickly pulled myself up and used the phoenix as my meat shield against Kitsuneki. The bird was immediately obliterated as the ball hits it. Then I slowly glide down to the ground by controlling the wind current around me.
I was wrong to think that I was able to rest for a bit after safely landing to the ground. Kitsuneki finally used something other than the chaos energy he has. He controlled the snow and made two giant snow beasts from it. Things get worse when the other Yokai started to approach us from a distance.
As things were getting restless, some of the Yokai's head was blown off by two girls on the roof of the castle. Ethereal and Lin provided me some backup by thinning down the oncoming enemy with their ranged attack. Yumiko jumps down from the castle and safely landed on the ground thanks to Violet catching her from below.
"Yumiko!" I shouted.
"Relax. You don't need to scream my name every time I appear. You want to get shot again?"
"Let's not do that now." I got a slight nervous feeling from that. Then I asked her, "Is Zenith alright?"

"She's fine. She's still sleeping or something up there."
"Glad to know that..." I let out a sigh of relief.
Yumiko then suddenly shot me with a knockback bullet and knocked me for a few centimetres away. What the heck was she thinking? Was she still lying to me all this time or what?
"What was that about?" I complained to her.
"You shouldn't be talking with someone else other than your opponent while you fight." Yumiko pointed her gun to a direction somewhere.
I looked at where she pointed out and noticed an Ice Spear was struck down on the ground. I looked at Kitsuneki and connected the dots of what has transpired.
"You know...You could have just pushed me instead of hurting me..."
She grinned at me and said, "But you're not hurt at all from the looks of it."
This girl really rustles my jimmies. I don't care if she's a girl; I really wanted to punch her in the face. It's called gender equality for a reason. But it wasn't a good time for me to be dwelling about it especially when the enemy was right in front of us.
Yumiko quickly made good work eliminating one of the snow monsters that Kitsuneki made using her elemental bullet. The other snow monster was ravaged by Violet's Water Prison. The Water Prison was a large pool of water shaped into a cube. Violet traps the snow monster inside the Water Prison and as you know...Ice or snow, in this case can be defrosted with a lot of water.
When they were taking out the snow monsters, I approached Kitsuneki and made a Tornado Drill from the both of my hand. I tried to hit my strikes to him but he always quickly protected himself with a bunch of snow as I was nearly about to hit his armour every time. Kitsuneki also tried to counter my attack by punching me with his Shogun gloves. I also prevented myself from being hit by forcing his fist from getting near to my body by protecting myself with a wind shield that pushes off anything that touches it.
We exchanged blows until suddenly; Kitsuneki moved a step behind to allow something else to fly into my face. My wind shield was completely destroyed afterward. I tried to understand what happened and noticed that The Snow Phoenix just flew past me.
"Of course it's not dead..." I expressed my thoughts as I figured out what happened.
Yumiko then told me, "Even after being extracted. That short girl's power is still around us, huh?"
"That's probably because it is my own power." Kitsuneki raised his arm to allow the phoenix land on it. He then continued, "I made my Yukihouou using my snow manipulating magic. Combine it with chaos energy and you have this majestic creature."
"Such creation must have some side effects to it, right?" I wondered about it.
"You are right. Even though, Yukihouou is a phoenix. She is a suicidal phoenix."
Yumiko lightly chuckled and said, "Now I see why it's always easy to kill that shorty."
Kitsuneki continued, "But even so, I successfully reigned down an everlasting snowstorm. Until you and that Sea God Reincarnation arrived that is..."
"Why did you plant the bird on her?"
"It wasn't my decision. It was an order by our teacher."
"Nova? What he's got to do with any of this?"
"I do not know and I have no intention of knowing it." Kitsuneki then realigns the bone on his neck. "You've been in my way ever since that snowstorm. I won't let you go today..."
"Show me what you got then." I prepared myself.
Kitsuneki made a happy expression from his eye as he suddenly writhe in pain and on his four to the ground. Chaotic energy started to embellish him as snow pieces begins to levitate around us from the tremors that Kitsuneki was making. A large dark chaotic sphere covered him as the energy continues to pulse around us. The sphere stopped moving and begins to freeze. The frozen sphere was immediately shattered, revealing Kitsuneki's true form.
Kitsuneki howled into the sky.
Violet said to herself, "The Seven Tailed Fox..."
"It's bigger than I thought it would be..." I was surprised by his transformation.
Kitsuneki was able to speak in his true form, "This ends now, Cyclone White!"

8 133The Trespasser
Synopsis Following his di—instincts, David finds himself in a weird situation; the next thing he knows, he's in a different world, dying, and manhandled by a big-ass alien. When the Source comes to his aid, granting him the access that—like every other sapient—he's due, David barely manages to get out of the fight with his life intact, but is that enough? Of course it isn't. The very Source giving him powers is also poisoning him to death. Oh, there she is, the petite female alien. Will that be enough to save him? Of course it won't. If he wants to be saved, he has first to save himself. The only way to do so is by getting to know the world around him, but even before that... Why the bloody hell did I have to be called Deviant!? *** Blurb? Blurb. The Trespasser starts slowly, I believe I've written a decent world, and I want you to find out what it's all about, won't just throw it in your face because of *levels*. I do not like stories that don't make sense. David is not a murderhobo, he respects life and answers to the world and the weird situations thrown at him with irony and sarcasm; so you are looking for easy killing streaks, you will not find them here. So, a man finds himself into the wild? It's a different world, and yet he can breathe its air? Finds himself in a lucky-low-level zone? Oh, look at that, people speak English—how likely is that? So, nope, not for me, gentleman. You won't find anything of the likes here. Again, a man finds himself in a new world but only thinks about the system? Yeah, that's not exactly how it works. David will try to find out what it's really all about, what the aliens want, how they work, why is that Fay really helping him? You can kill somebody to get levels, and yet there is not even a form of police? Not gonna happen here. Man becomes suddenly overpowered in a world where people can live for thousands of years by having enough luck to face only lower-level people? Hahaha—nope. Lastly...Spaceships and fantasy with LitRPG... say what!? Well, what's wrong with that? Let's make it happen, shall we? *** You want even more info? Really? Alright... David will start from the very bottom of the food chain, so there will be a settling arc—it's inevitable. David will find true companions, with personalities and backstories, and they will have a life of their own. There will be enemies, and those enemies will have a life of their own, too; there will be no evil just because. The world-building will have true depth; it will not exist just because the protagonist visits it. There will be both Fantasy and (Soft) Sci-fi—yeah, you heard that right. There will be rationality to every action taken, as long as the characters are aware of what is going on. There will be a godly system. You will come to read because of the world-building, but you will stay for the characters. The dead stay dead, and you will weep for them. There will be no action without a reaction. Lastly, there will be laughs. Are you still up for it? Then get in but fasten your seatbelts because it's going to be a wild ride. *** Release Days: Twice a week Release Time: ~09:00 PM UTC Words per chapter: ~3000 This web novel is also available on other platforms.
