《Stardust Universe》Chapter 2.25 - Yumiko - The White Dragon

I did it. I finally did it. I finally pulled the trigger. And not just that, I also impaired White from moving any further. He will be bleeding but he won't die. The only one who is dead right now is Zenith and that was enough. My job is done. After all those years, I can finally get to see them and redeem myself.
"Z...Zenith..." I could still hear White's pathetic voice.
I kept my flintlock and watched as Zenith's body started to exert a glowing aura. It manages to escape from her body and transforms itself into a pretty big bird.
"The Snow Phoenix...Lord Kitsuneki's little pet. You must have missed your master, birdie."
The Phoenix nodded once and moved it heads around. It was probably looking for its master.
I walked pass the bird and said to it, "Come on, I'll show you where he is."
And with that, I left White and his miserable little partner.

Once I finally reached the roof of the castle, I can see Kitsuneki waiting for us. His phoenix quickly flew toward him and rested on his arm.
"It's been a long time, Yukihouou. How are things?" Kitsuneki seems to be happy to see his pet back on his side after years of separation. "Good job, Yumiko. You've done a great deal of preventing any of those humans from meddling with my plan."
I bowed to him and said, "I am deeply humbled, my lord."
"Now is the time to finally unleash The Mikazuki Blade and rip apart The Rift of Time...I have been waiting for this moment ever since I become a Chaos Champion..."
Then all of a sudden, we heard someone gasping from the entrance of the rooftop. I could see the silhouette approaching. He finally reveals himself as he passed through the dark shadows. It was White. Still bleeding from the bullet I shot that went through him and stopped inside Zenith. He limped all the way to the rooftop with a tired face.
"You're still standing, boy? Don't let him get near me, Yumiko." Kitsuneki ordered me.
I obeyed him and said, "Very well, my lord." I brought out both of my flintlock and loaded them with elemental bullets.
"...Yumiko." His bleeding seems to be slowing down from the looks of it.
"You should have just stayed with that girl, White. You don't need to suffer anymore. Your entire struggle to keep her alive is all over. You are free now. You can now do things that you always wanted to."
"But..." White was still talking, "This isn't what I always wanted..."
"If that's the case then you should try a lot harder the next time you have got the opportunity. You are a fish in a pretty huge pond that is Infinity Academy. There are a lot of other better choices."

"...You're right...there are a lot of other choices...but...I choose to not choose at all. I'd rather throw away everything I know had I've known this would happen..." a faint white aura started appearing around him.
White suddenly crumbled to the floor and began writhe his body. One of his iris started expand as it grows to look like a reptilian eye. No, a dragon eye...Then, all of a sudden, skulls and bones begin to wrap around him. His head was covered with the skull of a dragon while his entire body was protected by a bunch of bones. White grows a bone tail and a pair of bone wings from his back.
He crawls down on all his four limbs just like any other four legged creature would. Both eyehole of the dragon skull was dark and empty until a single left eye appeared from within. I could still see White's human body through these bones and his face was still visible with only the top of his head and his jaw was covered by the dragon skull. It was as if a dragon had swallowed him. But...that might just be what happened when he said he rather throw away everything he know.
"What are you standing there for, Yumiko? Stop him!"
I immediately pulled both of ranged weapons and a huge burst of fire engulfs White. Both of my flintlocks were loaded with fire bullets on the first round. The next round would be a wind bullet. But I probably don't need that until White suddenly pounced out of the burning flame. He tried to jump on me but I swiftly shot the two wind bullet to White and threw him away from rooftop.
He fell down to the ground of the graveyard. Before I was ready to do anything, he was already standing on his four. Annoyed, I quickly took the next twin shot to him as the bullet smashes his face with the hard, rocky, earth bullet. The bullets rolled him away from his original stance. However, he quickly got back up from that attack.
"This is annoying." I said in disgust as I jumped off the roof.
The next shots were a pair of water bullet as a huge watery bubble begins to blast through White. Even after that, the same thing keeps on happening. He got back up quickly from that. I had to rely on the fifth and final shot I have before I have to reload for the next one. I took another double shot at him but this time it wasn't an elemental bullet, it was an explosive bullet. A huge explosion burst as soon as the bullet hits the bones that were protecting White. So far, almost all of the bullet I have shot hit him. Clouds begin to engulf my vision as the explosion recedes.

I had hoped that this would be the end but he was still standing after that taking those explosive bullets. His bone armour does seem to begin to crack for a little bit. But I'm growing tired of this already.
"Why won't you go down already?!" I shouted at him in anger.
White suddenly pounced on me but he was quickly flipped away when Violet suddenly appeared and saved me.
"Yumiko!" Violet grabbed my hand as she brought me back to the rooftop using her water abilities.
"Violet."
White then made a draconic roar that can be heard across the graveyard.
At that time, I said to myself, "So...this is what happens when a dragon takes over a human...Thank goodness I'm not one of them." I smiled.
But as I was bragging about it to myself, White suddenly jumped and landed on the rooftop.
"Yumiko!" Kitsuneki noticed that White was near him.
"Violet!" I ordered Violet to protect Kitsuneki with a water shield.
White then turned begins to maul the shield with his draconic claws. The water shield begins to deteriorate as time went on. I quickly loaded a single bullet and shot directly behind him. The bullet quickly burst into a tiny absorbing mass of energy. It was my famous Black Hole Bullet. I had to do that. It was the only way and that it did as White slowly disappears into nothingness...
"I can't believe it...I thought it would be harder than that..." I let out a sigh of relief. "Glad everything is over..."
"You think you are finished?"
"My...lord? What are you doing?" I couldn't believe what I'm seeing.
The Chaos Shogun was choking Violet by her neck.
"You think Nekomata didn't tell me about what happened with the blade, don't you? Well too bad because sacrifice is needed!"
"No!!!"
Kitsuneki completely clenched his fist as Violet's body begins to deteriorate into the same familiar liquid energy that I saw a couple of years ago. The liquid energy immediately went into The Mikazuki Blade as Kitsuneki unsheathes the blade and cut through the sky.
"No...Violet..."
The Rift of Time has been opened...
"It's alright Yumiko." Kitsuneki assures me, "You will finally get to see the shrine maidens return at last..."
It was as if a big cut has been made to the fabric of reality, creating a portal between here and The Rift of Time. Then, in an instant, a bunch of fallen Yokai begins to appear out of the rift and into our world. It was like a waterfall. But then I saw a huge skeletal hand holding the entrance of the rift.
"Yumiko...I present to you...The Chaos Beast, Gashadokuro! The Colossal Skeleton!"
"Y...Yumiko." I suddenly heard a familiar voice.
I know who it was. It was the shrine maiden, Violet. She was calling for me. She had already escaped The Rift of Time.
"You guys have returned! I've been waiting for..." But as I turned my head and looked at them, it wasn't what I had hoped for.
"Is something wrong, Yumiko?" The shrine maidens were no longer human. Their body were rotten and reeks of the dead.
"No! This isn't what I asked! This is not what I wanted!"
"What are you talking about, Yumiko?" Kitsuneki turned to her. "They've been inside the realm of the dead for years already. Of course they would be rotten."
I should have known that there would be a catch. I just didn't expect it would be like this...Just as I was already on my knees tearing up with all that has been happening, a crack in the space behind me started to appear. All of a sudden, The Savage White Dragon returned and had completely destroyed my mini black hole. He doesn't look too happy after breaking that black hole. When you think about it, Death does have skeletal features on them. Perhaps this guy will take me together with my sin away from this realm. I closed my eye and prepared for the imminent death.
I was quickly pounced to the floor as the dragon roared at my face. It raised its claw up in the sky. I rather not look at it and closed my eye. But nothing seems to be happening until I heard the sounds of his claw crashing through...the roof? I opened my eyes and saw White in his skeletal draconic form. I looked at where his arm was and saw that his claw was right next to me face, stuck on the roof. I'm not sure what's going on. But all of a sudden, my instinct tells me to pull my flintlock trigger and that I did. White then slowly fell down on top of me. Did he purposely miss that attack or was he getting exhausted...? I can't tell that for now...
