Limitless could only strengthen his will by using his rank 9 Immortal Essence or by sacrificing the souls his subordinates of the 8th layer of the Crazed Demon Cave to replenish his energy.

Through exhaustion he could even be defeated by a group of rank 8!

That was why he rarely came out of the Crazed Demon Cave nor approached others, as even if he could defeat them, he would have nothing but a pyrrhic victory.

As for Star Constellation, she was not much better state.

For starters she at difference from Limitless couldn't strengthen herself tremendously by using the Dao marks she refined on life.

She didn't held an 'aperture' to borrow strength nor she was a Dao Lord like limitless, thus her strength was truly too low.

Due to the lack of amplification the methods and due to her 'connection' to the Heavenly Dao her methods to replenish her will were incredibly inefficient.

That and the fact that she was constantly fighting against Heaven's Will constantly weakened her, if it wasn't for the help of the Immortal graved and the wills of countless Immortals from Heavenly Court she would have collapsed long ago.

Even then, she was constantly a few steps from vanishing, if she was slightly careless she would be devoured by Heaven's will.

During their fight to protect/kill Dio, Star Constellation almost reached her breaking point, thus, even without Limitless proposition she would have to escape and give herself time to recover.

That is why she agreed with Limitless idea.

Like her all the other Venerables were on similar pitiful condition.

Limitless will was shaken due to Star Constellation's special method, which through the usage of Fake wills could slowly transform his own will into Star Constellation's will!

If he didn't treat this in time he may be corrupted and converted into a part of Star Constellation.

Spectral Soul had been reduced to an state of madness, and his body was quickly evaporating, as he was not a longer a Dao Lord he couldn't even keep his own Soul together!

Giant Sun was a Zombie, Thieving Heaven was missing and all other Venerables were weakened.

Even though he wasn't aware of the details, he noticed that the 'time waves' of all the others had been reduced in intensity.

This was an odd phenomenon, he had not seen any half otherworldly demon act yet, so, why, why suddenly his premonitions changed?

He split his focus, half of his wills in the Red Lotus Islands focused on deciphering this mystery.

Whilst the other half took advantage that Star Constellation's will had been weakened temporarily and that her control over Fate had been weakened tremendously.

A resonance of Heaven and Earth surged, olive green tides of energy gathered.

A huge green beacon appeared in each island, it was resonating with the Time Qi of the river of time.

Those beacons began to shine intensively releasing an intense grayish-pink energy with a small pinky foam leaking to the surrounds.

This Killer Move involved Time, Wisdom and Dream Path.

It was called Timely Dream Revelation and it was targeting two Immortals.

Wu Yong was sleeping soundly.

He had a problem that had been troubling him for years, his lack of foundation.

Even though he was talented he required time to properly develop his aperture, but if he accelerated his aperture his Tribulation would come to him more frequently.

Thus, he was in a predicament.

If he truly wanted to rule over the Wu clan he required to find a solution for this issue.

Red Lotus gave him an answer:

"if I were to accelerate the wind currents long enough in an special environment with rich Time Dao Marks, I could perfectly create a tornado with the ability to manipulate time itself!.

Then, I could store it inside my aperture, if I used it properly I could use it to increase the generation of resources in my aperture without accelerating the core, effectively reducing the amount of Tribulations for the maximum benefits.

If I controlled such a Tornado I could also take it outside my aperture, with it, I could target my opponent!

I could decrease the speed of his attacks, or I could accelerate their aging and many other things!"

Naturally, Red Lotus intent was to target those Immortals from Heavenly Court who lacked Lifespan and that was his solution for this issue.

If it wasn't due to Star Constellation's tremendous wariness against Dio she would haven't made this mistake.

While all those events were in motion, Dio entered into the main gate of the Ma tribe, which was surrounded by guards.

Dio frowned slightly, his intuition told him that there was something wrong with those events, however he kept a composed expression.

"Put down your weapons, is me, Dio."

He left the Gu house and then waved his hands on dismissal while saying.

"Yes, yes, I know you may feel suspicious that I nor Ma Shan hu haven't picked up any of your calls lately, but that is because the Gu was destroyed.

Ma Shan Hu sent me and my friend to the tribe, to ask for a replacement of the Gu.

In fact, I have some amazing news to discuss, we found an important clue to find Ma Pa Hung's inheritance, if you wouldn't mind I wish to discuss privately with him-"

Before he even finished his phrase, he was attacked by a thousand of arrows, flying at all directions.

The arrows varied in shape and form, some carried a gentle and subtle wind aura while others carried the energy of the seas and others, a burning aura.

A purple aura surged towards all directions catching all those arrows, then, their trajectory begin to change and they're sent back towards them.

This was a Killer Move that not only increased his speed tremendously, but that also could be used to create illusions.

The inspiration for this and most of his Killer Moves were inspired by his 'experiences' in the Gu world.

As he moved, he threw many daggers, those daggers were ordinary and didn't carry any extraordinary property but due to their sheer speed they could be deadly.

"The negotiations were cut short and so will you." Dio's face curved with a wide smile.

"My pets, go and hunt them!" He released all those mammoths outside the Gu house, while he remained hidden in it.

"The essence of an Enslavement path expert lies on his ability to control the battlefield without interfering directly, furthermore, I need to save strength for the main event.

Besides, the fact that they attacked us without a warning means that they likely already knew about our 'intentions', I guess is the effect of an Investigative Gu method...

There's likely a trap nearby, so I must prepare myself.

The Gu allowed someone to investigate potential 'disasters' for its user, is helpful to prevent such events and can also give a blurry vision of whatever event may befall upon the Gu master.

His body trembled in fear, as he saw an image of flames, water, wind, electricity, but more than that of Qi and light.

Dio gulped.

"D-Don't tell me, they figured my weakness towards light sources?"

His vision narrowed, he felt a thread of Qi surging and saw many 'spheres' of an strange orange color.

Some of those spheres were throbbing, they had small 'vines' across the ground which connected with the other tiny light sources.

A continuous flux of Primeval Energy was surging towards many of the small light sources which were becoming more and more intense.

"Veins?

Light sources?

Primeval Essence?

Dio was glancing at this scene with suspicion in his face.

Due to his many attainments he could more or less make an assessment of the situation.

He felt Qi, Wind, Fire, Light and many other paths signatures, and somehow they're acting as one single one!

"How is this possible?

Normally, different substances would have a certain degree of 'friction' upon contact, water doesn't mix with oil, that was a basic logic anyone could understand.

Then, why?

Formation, this is a Formation!"

He gritted his teeth, and gave an order.

His two Earth mammoths began to dig in the ground to hunt for the Gu's hiding beneath the ground, principally the 'cores' of the Formation.

From the distance, Ma Zhun and Ma Xuan Hin observed all those events.

They're using an 'Investigative Gu house.'

However, it wasn't an ordinary kind of Gu house.

There are two form of Gu houses, one an individual Gu who composes all the needed qualities to form a 'house' on itself.

The second was a kind of Gu House composed of multiple Gu's and materials, like a Killer Move in a perpetual state.

The second kind of Gu houses had more thorough abilities and mysterious methods.

In this case they're using 'Invisible Mount Tai' Killer Move to conceal themselves and their Gu house.

Ma Zhun was slightly flustered about this turn of events, he exclaimed.

Didn't you said that Dio had terrible Investigative methods, then how he detected our Formation, then?"

Thus, they could directly send all kinds of projectiles safely, without even approaching him!

The dragon roared and shoot a powerful wave which shook down the Gu house where Dio was hiding!

Dio turned his head.

"T-That power, it cannot be, Ma Shang Feng is here?"

He said bewildered, but the truth was different.

Ma Xuan Hin, the 'Storyteller' actually had a fortuituous encounter.

He acquired the inheritance of an Immortal nobody knew about.

This rank 6 Immortal held no Immortal Gu however his battle strength rivaled even a rank 7!

This Immortal had an special ability, by using a 'Bookworm' as the core of a Killer Move he could 'store' a certain event, narrating the success one by one.

If the proficiency of the Gu master is enough and their technique is proper they may be able to create an special perpetual Killer Move 'Tale.'

Through this tale they could mimic the events of the tale and to take them to the real world!

The tale could be anything like a 'Tribulation' a Killer Move an Immortal Gu, the power of a Desolate Beast and even the power of the 5 regional walls!

Naturally an Immortal inheritance was powerful enough to allow a mere rank 4 like him mimic the strongest techniques of a rank 5 with enough preparations.

However this held a 'cost', for example each book created required a huge amount of materials from varying ranks and the success on the 'refinement' of this Killer Move varied, sometimes you may fail ten times before succeeding once.

That and they're also consumable, each time you used one of them they'd be expended, and you'd have to refine them again to use them once more.

Thus, the cost was huge.

Another factor was that the user had to be present in the 'events' of such scenario, you can only mimic what your eyes have seen in the past.

Also, similarly to an Immortal Gu only a single 'copy' of an event could exist at once, you couldn't recreate the same hundreds of times and store its power, rather you had a single copy of an 'event.'

Finally, even though the costs of the activation of those special books was lower than in the case of an ordinary technique, they still put a burden in the aperture.

Ma Xuan Hin gaze turned colder, in a matter of seconds the water dragon vanished.

He took a long breath and activated another technique, the image of another figure appeared.

It was a rank 5 Gu.

"Freeze!"

Immediately, the water surface began to cool down, the whole Gu House began to freeze, it was beginning to be damaged internally.

Whilst Dio merely heated his own body through his 'Charcoal Fireworks' technique.

In a matter of seconds the whole Gu house had been flooded with pure ice and in this moment the book lost all of its strength.

But he was not done yet.

He activated a third book, he lifted his palm and muttered.

"Glacier friction."

The huge fragments of ice began to change of shape, converting into multiple glaciers which collided with each other, the friction began to create tiny electric currents.

Soon enough the book's effect vanished.

He activated an Investigative Killer Move and found Dio's location, then, he pointed his finger at him and activated his fourth book.

"Electric redirection."

All the electricity gathered around Dio crushing and boiling him alive!

Finally after all this torture, Ma Xuan Hin with cold sweat on his forehead said.

"This will be enough for the moment, Ma Zhun open the portal!"

Then, he activated a Movement Gu to escape, heading towards the border of the barrier which brought him back to the Gu House.

The portal was closed once more.

"Huff, Huff...."

Ma Xuan Hin took a piece of a Primeval Stone and began to regenerate his energy.

He glanced coldly at Dio while thinking.

"This is what you deserve, scum."
