Rogan smirked as he lifted his golden sword overhead. He swung down his sword. Color and sound disappeared from the world.

“?!”

The color red reappeared at the corner of Chika’s eyes. Blood sprayed from a cut across Falkon’s chest. The rest of the colors flowed back into the world along with an explosive sound.

“Whew~!”

Rogan placed his sword on his shoulder.

“You didn’t even take a step back after taking that attack. I thought it would at least bring you to your knees.”

Falkon rubbed his hand over his wound. He clenched his bloodstained fist.

“A fraud could never make me kneel.”

The clergy members surrounded him and his children. A rainbow glow covered them from head to toe.

“Chika,Verde. Be careful. He’s using a spell called Voice of God. It’s a support-type spell that grants his allies the ability to remove the limiters on their bodies. They’ll gain a great boost in their abilities…but they’ll destroy their bodies in return.”

“So a suicidal tactic huh? The most annoying type to face.”

Chika’s eyes locked on Nina. She was also cloaked in the rainbow glow. Chika smirked. She kicked off the ground and rushed towards Nina. Several clergy members formed a wall to block her path. She clenched her fists and threw a barrage of punches. They moved with the same breath and punched out. Chika’s fists clashed with theirs. Their feet skid on the ground as they were forced back.

(They actually cancel out my fists? This Voice of God is no joke.)

The clergy moved towards Chika.

“?!”

A spiked ball hit one of them and forced him into the group. They were flung to the side. Verde walked towards them twirling his meteor hammer.

“Verde, hold them off. I want to fight that one.”

Verde nodded and flew at the clergy members. Several of them popped up behind him. He spun around and swung his chains. Two clergy blocked the hammers with their hands. Two others grabbed the chain and pulled him. The rest rushed at him from all directions.

“……”

Verde released his weapon. He spun around and kicked an enemy. He ducked under a spear. A boom erupted above him.

(Their physical strength is quite impressive.)

He swept an enemy of their feet. Spears and swords stabbed down at him. He leaped and rolled out of the way. He stood up surrounded by enemies.

“Heh.”

He grin as he released his claws.

“……”

Falkon glanced behind him before slowly walking towards Rogan.

“Tell me, boy. Do you think you’re something special just because you can use my grandfather’s techniques?”

“Special? Me? Don’t be absurd.”

Rogan pointed his sword at Falkon.

“My goal isn’t to be special, it’s to be the bridge that connects the people of this empire to a bright future.”

Rogan started walking towards him.

“And you people are standing in the way of that future.”

“Heh…Hahahaha!”

Falkon burst out laughing. Rogan flew at him. Falkon’s body flickered. Rogan stopped and swung down his sword. An explosion erupted as Falkon’s fist clashed with the sword. Blood flowed from Falkon’s fist. Yet, he grinned.

“I think I’ve got you figured out.”

Rogan kicked him away and flew after him. Falkon stood his ground and thrust his palm out. Rogan’s sword was blown back.

“You’re just a delusional child!”

Rogan lifted his leg to block a punch.

“You people are the ones who are delusional!”

He swung at Falkon’s neck. Falkon ducked under the slash but was kicked in the face. He stumbled back. He twisted his body to evade a sword thrust. Blood gushed from his side. He stepped in and hit Rogan with an uppercut to the chin. Rogan flew back. Falkon chased after him. Rogan threw his sword at him. Falkon twisted to evade it.

“?!”

His eyes widened as Rogan appeared holding the sword. He cut into Falkon’s exposed side. Falkon’s body faded as it was cut in two. He reappeared some distance away. Blood poured from his side and stained in pants.

“You people abandon your citizens and threw them under the bus over and over again, and you still have the gall to ask them to fight your battles? Go fuck yourself! You cowards have no right to lead us! You’re not worth dying for! You don’t deserve the Dragna peoole!”

A purple glow enveloped Rogan’s sword. His sword started transforming. Falkon’s eyes widened as the sword transformed into a giant butcher knife.

“The fuck? Gaius taught him this too?”

“Vastator: God Butcher Mode.”

Meanwhile, Chika was clashing with Nina. She rushed at her with swift and powerful punches from her gauntlets. Nina blocked them with palm strikes.

(How can she cancel out my punches so easily?)

Nina grabbed her throat. Chika kicked her away. Chika punched out. The earth rose up like a wave and came crashing down on Nina.

“…….”

Nina stretched her hand out and touch the earth. It halted before crushing her. Chika slid from behind the earth wave. Her hand rubbed the earth. Earth spikes rushed at Nina. They shattered just as they were about to touch her. Chika popped up beside her. She rocked Nina with a fist to the face. Nina stumbled back.

“……..”

Chika looked at her fist and silently clenched it.

“So that’s how it is.”

She smirked.

“You can somehow cancel out all magical abilities. That’s why my gauntlets ability to clog bone joints with earth didn’t work on you. You stopped all my magic attacks but a plain attack was effective.”

Nina spat blood out of her mouth as she looked at Chika.

“No panic or anger after your trick has been revealed huh? I can’t tell if you have other tricks up your sleeve or is just don’t care.”

“Why are you people so concerned about what I’m thinking?”

Nina spread her arms.

“If you’re here to kill, just come at me and try to kill me. There’s no need to care about what’s going on in my head.”

“….I guess you’re right about that.”

(Miko, what did you see in this woman?)

A thundering explosion interrupted Chika’s thoughts. She spun around and her eyes widened.

Before her eyes was the sight of her father with a giant butcher knife inside him, cutting from his shoulder down to his hip. The look of disbelief was contrast to the glee in Rogan’s eyes.

“So that’s what Gaius taught Rogan?”

Nina spoke in monotone behind Chika.

“Vastator: God Butcher Form, I heard it not only cuts the flesh but the divinity of beings. Meaning, it kills the part of Higher Beings that makes them gods. For beings descended from gods it pretty much destroys a part of their souls along with their body. It’s a form that truly lives up to its name.”

“I know what it is.”

Chika left her back turned to Nina.

“I know all about it.”

She smirked.

“And so does my father.”

Falkon grabbed Rogan’s face.

“Wha?!”

A burst of golden lightning hit him in the face. He retreated holding his face and his weapon.

“How?! I cut your soul!”

Falkon walked with his upper body on verge of falling apart. He laughed.

“Have you ever thought about why Miko brought us to handle your group? Did you think it was because you wouldn’t know our abilities? You’re close, but not completely right.”

Falkon showed a beastly grin.

“It’s because we’re familiar with Augustus’s fighting style, habits, and techniques. In other words, we know how to counter them.”

Rogan’s eyes widened as Falkon pointed at his weapon.

“Of course, I know how to defend against Vastator.”

“While God Butcher is incredibly powerful, it’s not unstoppable. If it was, Augustus would be the Supreme Being already. There are multiple ways to defend against it.”

Chika was all smiles.

“But…How could you defend against something like this?”

Falkon slowly lifted his middle finger and showed Rogan.

“Like I’ll tell you, Moron!”

Golden flames engulfed Falkon’s body. His gruesome wounds started to heal. Rogan watched this with trembling eyes.

“I’ll let you in on a secret though.”

Falkon spoke as his upper body started to become whole again.

“Augustus trained his five children with Tiamat on how to kill him. They each developed their own techniques with the intent of sharing them with their respective branches. I don’t how it happened but these techniques are lost with only a few knowing them.”

He smirked.

“Those few are myself, my children, and the five branch leaders.”

The golden flames surrounding him grew into a pillar. The force and heat from the flames forced Rogan to flee. The area was flowing with flames. These flames engulfed all of the clergy members fighting Verde.

“I use the Primus Arts developed by my father, Cladius.”

Falkon stretched his hand out. A crucifix made of golden flames floated above his palm.

“Allow me to show you why a fake like you will never be able to take us down.”

Rogan’s eyes became bloodshot as he glared at Falkon. Rihan’s face flashed in his head.

“Not again.”

He clenched his sword and flew at Falkon.

“I’ll never lose to you people again!”

“Unfortunately for you…”

Falkon lifted the crucifix in front of him.

“That’s not for you to decide.”

The crucifix lit up. The light covered the entire area.

“Primus Art:….”

“Damn you all!”

Rogan roared as he swung his sword. Falkon’s voice echoed in his head.

“Conqueror’s Cross.”

Golden flames and light swallowed everything in the world.

Inside the church, Miko was facing off against dozens of Berserkers and Gaius. The azure mist around him spread out. The Berserkers’ bodies flickered. Miko pointed down. Loud thuds resounded in the church. The Berserkers reappeared pinned to the ground.

“Know your place savages, for you are in the presence of a supreme being.”

“Gravity Magic? To pin these Berserkers down, it must’ve been at least Divine Level.”

Gaius glared at Miko.

“Are you…?”

The Berserkers roared causing the church to tremble. They sprung to their feet and rushed at Miko.

“?!”

Gaius’s body flinched. She swung her hand down. A wall of light erected in front of the Berserkers. Miko appeared in front of the wall. He retreated holding his right shoulder. A severed arm laid in front of the Berserkers.

“I can sense when there’s a disturbance in the time stream around me. So freezing time won’t work here.”

A new arm replaced the one Miko lost. Several Berserkers appeared around him. Roars resounded as they swung their weapons. Miko’s body was cut into pieces.

“Don’t stop attacking!”

Gaius shouted as she rushed towards the Berserkers. Azure mist sprayed out of the severed pieces of flesh. The mist entangled the Berserkers by their neck and limbs. Gaius summoned a gigantic hammer and swung it. A giant arm made of mist appeared and blocked it. Cracks ran through the church.

“As I thought, you’re using techniques beyond what your mortal shell can withstand.”

Gaius leaped back. The Berserkers were lifted into the air. Cracking noise reached her ears as they were twisted, pulled, and bent in the most painful ways.

(They may have been replicas but their strength were all above the Divine Level.)

Mist gathered and formed into Miko in front of Gaius.

“You’re a suicidal maniac. Using this much power without taking your Satan Form is madness.”

“You’re concerned about my life? Does your contract with Augustus causes you to feel affection towards me?”

Miko snapped his fingers. Hundreds of portals opened up behind him.

“If so, this won’t end pretty for you.”

Growls and roars reverberated in the church. Monsters and beasts of all sizes emerged from the portals by the dozens. They glared at Gaius with bloodthirsty expressions.

“Go.”

They charged at Gaius, who calmly lifted both arms at her side.

“Don’t underestimate me, brat.”

With one swift motion, she clapped in front of her. Space distorted and caved in. Miko, his portals, and his monsters were flattened from the sides. Blue blood sprayed as the space returned to normal.

“Even if I’m just a fragment of the real thing, I’m still Octavian’s Legacy.”

Gaius stretched her hand out. The Berserkers appeared in front of her. Their bodies repaired themselves in the next instant.

“I won’t go down that easily.”

“Oh, I’m very aware of that.”

Miko and the monsters’ corpses turned into azure mist. A pair golden eyes shone in the mist. The mist slowly faded away revealing Miko with his hands clasped into a prayer.

(It’s the same stance he took at the beginning?)

Gaius’s eyes slowly widened.

“Wait, something doesn’t feel right.”

She examined Miko again. That’s when she saw it; blood leaking from Miko’s eyes, mouth, and nose. The blood would disappear in the next instant. This repeated countless times in a few seconds.

(Symptoms of his body breaking down from using too much power. But they healed before I could notice them.)

“Berserkers!”

The Berserkers roared and launched at Miko.

“I don’t know what’s going on but I’m going put a stop to this!”

A gigantic gate appeared behind her. The gate swung opened and giant demonic beings emerged carrying weapons. They charged at Miko.

“Heh.”

Miko smirked as azure mist gathered around him. Thunderous noise resounded as the Berserkers and giants were beaten back by an army of Mikos.

“Clones?….Wait, clones!”

Cold sweat covered Gaius body.

“What if I was fighting clones all this time while the original was preparing something else?”

The question was, since when has she been fighting clones?

She replayed their fight in her head. That’s when she remembered what happened after Miko clasped his hand at the beginning.

(Mist covered the entire area…Could he have switched with a clone then?)

She looked at Miko again. The burden on his body had gotten to the point they couldn’t be healed before they were noticed. It was as if he was only starting to feel the effects.

“Fuck!”

Gaius started running towards Miko.

“I get why he took his chaos form! It’s to regenerate his body enough to stop himself from fall apart, while he distracted me and prepared his real attack!”

Dozens of clones blocked Gaius’s path. She would destroy them but they regenerated the next second and slowed her down.

“The fact his body is falling apart faster than it can regenerate is testimony to the level of attac—”

“Gaius.”

Miko’s voiced reached her ears as clearly as if he was next to her. He showed her serene smile.

“Say hi to Krow for me.”

Gigantic magic circles, sigils, and runes covered the entire room. Various light flashed before Gaius’s eyes.

“World Magic:…”

Gaius gritted her teeth as she glared at Miko. He locked eyes with her as his serene smile turned into a mocking grin.

“Astral Segregation!”

In that instant, the world collapsed around Gaius.

“Ahhhhh?!”

She screamed as her body was pulled out of existence by invisible force. She instantly found herself floating in a void.

“…….!”

She couldn’t speak or move but she was conscious. Above her was an ocean of stars and planets. Below her was another celestial ocean. She floated between them.

(I was thrown into the void between the two universes?!)

“?!”

Her eyes trembled as she watched the two celestial oceans drifted towards her. Her heartbeat grew louder by the second. It felt like her heart was trying to escape through her mouth.

(I will get you for this…!)

Godly pressure fell on her body and began to tear it apart. As the forces ripped her to pieces, Gaius roared in her mind.

(I WILL REMEMBER THIS, MIKO!!!)

With this thought, Gaius was reduced to atoms.

“…I wonder if the real Gaius will inherit the fragment’s grudge once she gain her memories.”

Miko mumbled as he laid in a pool of his own blood. Every nerve in his body screamed as blood continuously flowed from him. He smirked.

“Well, what happens happens.”

“Oh, looks like you’re done.”

He turned his head and saw Falkon and his children. At their feet were Rogan, Nina, and the rest of the clergy.

“We didn’t kill anybody just as you asked. Are we done?”

Miko glanced at an unconscious Nina and nodded.

“Yeah, we’re done.”
