《The Devil's Parcel》Chapter 6: Death of a friend

"Remember, no casualties."
Everyone leaps into action with their weapons drawn and storm the voting room, where all eight chairmen are gathered.
Alastor leads the charge and has the job of taking care of the stronger people. In contrast, the others incapacitate the weaker soldiers. They make it into the voting room, and Alastor goes for the kill but is stopped by a barrier.
"Did you really think you would kill us that easily?"
"I was hoping so." Alastor charges at the chairmen again, but he burns the barrier and goes for the kill this time. Unlike last time, he was removed from the area instead of being stopped.
"Where did Alastor go?!" Lilith yelled at one of the chairmen, but she got a response from someone else "That wasn't their doing. It was mine."
Lilith looks at the person speaking, "Where did you take him!"
"That's none of your concern." Benjamin appears behind the figure and goes for incapacitation, but the figure teleports away
"Damn, they got away" Suddenly, Leon dashes past Benjamin and parries the chairmen's attack. "Don't take your eyes off of them."
"Lilith, this is going to be harder than we imagined," Lillia said, gripping her weapon hard.
"I know, but all we can do now is carry out our mission."
Lilith uses her magic to summon the souls of wolves to bind the chairmen Leon was fighting, which gives him the chance to get the kill.
"Starting now, we will kill these corrupt leaders." Lilith had a serious look in her eyes no one had seen before
Leon and Benjiman back up to group up with the others.
"It's seven against three, you know that, right Lilith."
"I know"
"As long as you're aware."
While the others get ready for their battle, Alastor is having one of his own
"You know this can't contain me, right?"
"Oh, I know that all too well."
The figure walks around Alastor. "You know you have been the biggest pain in my ass ever since you showed up last year."
"I'm not the one that tried to take over Angel's province... At the time."
"Of course not because you're too weak to do it. You see, we witches worship the king of hell, and his wish right now is to take over the mortal plane and consume it into hell. We have the strength to do it, but you keep getting in our way!" The figure spat at Alastor
"You are nowhere near strong enough to pull the whole mortal plane into hell."

"Well, I am now" The figure pulls out a glowing white crystal. "Did you know Alastor it is said that this crystal is called a fragment of heaven?"
Alastor stood silent "Well, you do now." The figure stood quiet for a bit before continuing with her exposition, "It was said that long ago these fragments were created when the king of hell fought his brothers up in the heavens for the right to call it their own. But in the middle of the battle, pieces of heaven were shattered; it was these pieces that soaked up the power that was released."
"So you're taking power from rocks now?"
The figure started laughing. "You really don't know the magnitude of power even one of these fragments holds, do you?"
"Of course not" Alastor looked into the figure's eyes and said, "I don't need to rely on fragments for power."
"But you soon will."
"And why is that?"
"We 'Banned magic witches' have already collected all nine fragments. Now we have enough power to fight the king himself."
"Let me give you a word of advice, Erin. Your power, no matter how many fragments you collect, will pale in comparison to the kings."
"Now, isn't that a surprise" The figure removes its hood to indeed reveal its Erin. "I didn't know you knew I was alive."
"Oh, I knew about everything from the start. That's why I let you die all that time ago."
Erin was visibly angered. "It was because you let me die that our plan has been slowed to a crawl. All that was needed was Lilith, but now we can't even get near her without you killing us."
"The don't try to touch my queen."
Erin starts laughing. "Your queen? Wait until she finds out who killed her kind. Oh, wait, that was you wasn't it?"
Alastor releases his flames, instantly burning his containment, appearing on the battlefield.
The building has been destroyed, and there are only 5 chairmen left.
Lilith is taking care of two chairmen while the others take on one. Lilith is barely holding both chairmen back, but one of the chairmen gets the upper hand and goes for the kill but is stopped when Alastors hand goes through his chest. "Looks like your witch ran off."
The chairmen that Lilith was fighting started laughing. "Looks like reinforcements are here."
Alastor looks back to see Sol's Army is approaching. "Everyone take care of the chairmen," and in a twisted tone, Alastor says, "I got them"

Lilith finally can get the upper hand since she only has to deal with one. Lilith using her daggers rushes the chairmen and engages in knife combat. Lilith gets the upper hand and cuts the chairmen's flexor tendon. The chairman retaliates with a kick to her head, knocking Lilith to the floor. Lilith gets back up and clutches her daggers, and with one swift motion, she decapitated the chairman.
Lilith remembers the army and goes to help Alastor, but he incapacitates all five hundred soldiers. Lilith rushes over to help the others, and with her help, they kill the chairmen quickly. "We finally finished," Lilith says out of breath.
"Not yet, it's Erin shes back," Alastor whispered to Lilith
"That's great news," Lilith says happily
"It's not"
"What do you mea-" The area suddenly explodes, destroying nearby buildings
When the dust settles, Alastor is seen shielding the group with his wings.
"You bitch" Alastor falls to his knees and coughs up blood
"Impressive! you survived that attack and protected these weaklings," Erin appears in front of Alastor. She tries to finish Alastor with another blast, but he burns her magic with his fire. "You know that fire of yours is a major inconvenience."
"It's going to be a bigger inconvenience when I destroy that fragment." Alastor coughs up more blood
"Do you think you can really destroy a fragment of heaven"
"Erin!" Erin looks over to see Leon. "What do you want?"
"What are you doing! Why are you attacking us? We're friends, remember."
Erin laughs. "We were never friends. I was only you to get closer to Lilith."
"You wha-" Erin shoots a magic beam at Leon, completely destroying his organs.
"LEON!" Benjamin jumps at Erin, but she prepares to fire a beam through him. Alastor cuts off her arm before she can fire it, and Benjamin lands his strike, piercing straight through her chest. Alastor tries to go for the killing blow, but she teleports away. "She got away.'
"Cmon, Leon, stay with us, please!" Lillia and Lilith were beside Leon while he was bleeding out. Alastor could barely hear his heartbeat because it was drowned out by the screams and cries of the girls. Alastor walks up to Leon and casts a spell. Lilith tries to use her healing magic, but it's not strong enough to close a wound that big. Lilith looks at Alastor and cries more when she sees the sad look in his eyes.
The spell brought Leon to a beautiful white palace above the clouds. "Yo Leon," Leon looks over and sees Alastor. "Where am I?"
"You're in Heaven right now."
"I understand" Leon starts walking towards the palace
"Leon. Do you want to go back?"
Leon looks at Alastor and smiles. "No, I'm fine. Tell the others that I appreciate everything that they did for me. And Alastor, Thank you for giving me hope when I needed it"
Alastor hugs Leon and gives him parting words, "Take care, kid. I'll miss budding heads with you." With that, Alastor goes back to the mortal plane.
The girls and Benjamin were still crying. Lilith clings to Alastor, crying louder than she ever had in her life.
"My God, what happened here" Lilith looks over and runs to Gord. "Father, it's Leon; he's dead" Lilith kept crying, and Gord tried to comfort her, but nothing could. Alastor picks up Leon's body and starts walking towards Angel's province.
"Stop right there!" Mistress Amaya tried to get Alastor to stop, but he just ignored her words. She grabs Alastor by the shoulder. Alastor gently puts down Leon's body and faces Amaya. "What the fuck do you want?"
"You started a war between nations, and now you must pay for your crimes.". Alastor looks at Lilith and Lilia before answering, "Fine. I'll pay for my crimes. Just let me bury him first."
"No, you cant" Lilith is trying to get away from Gord's hug, but she can't
Alastor flies away with Leon's body, and Amaya
Samael appeared as the sun was setting, and he looked in horror at what had happened earlier.
Eventually, the nation of Sol stopped their war against Angel's province and declared peace. The nation also elected Lilith as its leader.
As for Alastor, he was sent to prison and sealed away.
Three months later, Lilith gave birth to their baby boy; she named him Adam. Eventually, she graduated from the Academy with Benjamin and Lillia. Three years passed, and the group met up at Leon's grave. "Adam, this is Leon, and he was an excellent friend of ours."
Adam responded childishly, "Hey, Leon."
"It really has been three years since he passed," Lillia said sadly.
"Any news on Alastor Lilith"
"No," She said while hugging Adam
"Dad," Adam was looking towards the west. "What about dad?."
"Dad," Lilith looked at where Adam was looking, and she felt Alastor's magic surging violently.

Demon Dungeon
It's a story about a demon that owns a dungeon. The dungeon has a core. The demon is a low-ranking member of an army. Expect a fun story, way too long chapters, and a mildly emotional demon.

His motivation to pursue his studies, gone. This event caused Jacob to fall into the death grip that is a job in retail. Now if this change was a good or bad thing, he didn't know. But there was one thing Jacob knew for certain. He didn't have to mop the floors anymore. Author's Note: (This is my first story, and I would be very thankful if grammatical errors were pointed out. I could also take a few suggestions in the comments if you would. This is less a planned production, and more a little project that I'm winging as it goes. I will try and be consistent with at least 2 chapters a week. Also, as I am a completely new author, the number of words per chapter may fluctuate. The minimum will be around 1000 words, while other chapters may be 2000-3000. It will hopefully only get better with time.)

8 213A New Beginning
Humans don't understand how someone can be both dead and alive, and that fact scares them, it opens up the possibility of a threat even if there is no evidence of malevolent intent. So, the only solution in the minds of humanity is to dominate and subjugate the unknown variable until it no longer has even the potential to be a threat. They choose to pretend that the unknown variable is lesser, that humanity is superior on no other grounds than that it's humanity. Danny had been stuck with the G.I.W for years when the Young Justice team rescued him. Broken, beaten, and none the wiser of the greater majority of humans, the humans with kindness in their eyes and light in their souls. He's been trapped in the darkness of greed and fear and violence for far too long, and what's left behind is a fractured mind and a trained weapon. Buried underneath that, however, is a young child who is scared and confused, a child that hasn't seen the light of day in years. That child never expected to see the bright side to existence, to see the light shine in the souls of the righteous. That all changed with one group of heroes, and one family of Bats.Cover doesn't belong to me.Cross-published on two other sites*Undergoing heavy editing, nothing plot-wise is changing, I am only editing grammar, mechanics, vocabulary, sentence variation, and formatting and overall I am just making it a more pleasant and refined read :) I am also deleting the A/Ns at the beginning and end of each chapter
