《The Devil's Parcel》Chapter 1 : Comforting Words

"Their battle had gone on long enough, but neither side was ready to give up."
"Their fatigue, hunger, and limits were nothing compared to their will to keep fighting for what they believe in, but eventually even that had faded in the face of evil."
*bell rings*
"Oh my! I didn't realize that story would take up so much time; my apologies."
Everyone had left the classroom except four students
"Class is over; what are you guys still doing here."
Lillith (a Purple-haired girl with cat ears) was the first to respond, "I wanted to hear the rest of this story; also, we have to wait for Leon to wake up."
The teacher (Mr. Graves) Looked over Lilith's shoulder to see Leon sleeping. At the same time, another girl (Lillia, A dark-haired girl with pigtails) desperately tried to wake him up.
Mr. Graves enjoyed telling this story, so he didn't mind spending part of his lunch telling Lilith the rest of the story.
"Their opponent was the strongest foe ever to be seen throughout history, but that didn't matter to them because they had the only person who was his only equal."
"Everything has to come to an end eventually, which is what happened to their battle."
"How did it end?" Lilith asked
"Honestly, no one knows. There are theories on how it ended, but none have been confirmed."
"Confirmed by who?"
"Well, the people that fought in the battle, of course."
"They're still alive ?!"
"Yes, and as a matter of fact, they are our head of defense."
"So you're telling me Mistress Amaya fought this great evil."
"Exactly that"
"Wow, so Mistress Amaya is even more impressive than she already is."
Both Mr.Graves and Lilith turn around to see Leon(blonde-haired Elf) giving a smug smile.

"Finally, now we can eat." Exclaimed Lillia.
"Of course, I must let you enjoy your lunch." said Mr. Graves
Lilith and her group get up and leave to get lunch
Still thinking about the story, Lilith says, "That was an intriguing story."
"Eh, I guess."
Lillia, annoyed about his attitude, states that He shouldn't say anything because he was asleep for most of it and should keep his thoughts to himself.
Lilith walks backward (facing her teammates) and says, "Do you think Alastor will like the story?"
"I think-" Lillia tried to give her opinion. Still, Leon interjected, "I think he doesn't care about you or whatever you tell him. He only uses you."
"Leon!" Benjamin (half-orc half-human hybrid), who was quiet the whole time, finally snapped
"Fine, Lilith, I'm sorry."
Lilith angrily walked into the cafeteria, got her food, and went to sit with Alastor next to the oak tree outside the school property but next to the eating area.
"What has you in a mood today, Lil."
"It's Leon; He thinks your only nice with me because you're only using me."
"You know as much as anyone else that Leon hates me because of what happened to Erin."
"Yea, I know, but it wasn't your fault."
"Lilith." Alastor said calmly.
Lilith looked up to see Alastor because it's been a while since he said her full name
"Let it go. What happened to Erin was in the past, and it was none of our faults."
"Okay"
"So Lil, what are you doing later anyways?"
"Nothing, why?"
"I wanted to know if you wanted to go into town with me."
"Yes"
With their afternoon planned, Lilith started telling the story that Mr. Graves told them earlier

"That certainly was an interesting story."
"I know, but what makes it even better is that Mistress Amaya fought that evil. It is so refreshing to know how strong and brave she is."
Alastor knows what she meant by that last statement "You're brave and strong too."
"I wish I could be like her. Maybe then I could prove to my sisters and father that I'm not worthless."
"Don't worry Lil; no matter what, you'll always be the bravest to me."
Still looking in his eyes, they kiss
"Oh my, what do we have here" Lillia teases
Now embarrassed, Lilith stops the kiss. "W-w-what do you want."
"Well, I wanted to know if you wanted to hang out later with all of us."
"I can't because I planned to go into town with Alastor."
With a smug smile, Lillia responded, "Oh ok, don't have too much fun now."
Lillia returns to the others and tells them what Lilith told her
"So they're going on a date, nice." Benjamin said amused
"Good for Lillia; she has been needing someone to support her even if she doesn't know it." Lillia said happily
Mad at this point from hearing this, Leon finally blew "Lilith needs someone to support her, not someone who is going to use her!"
*SLAP*
Lillia slapped Leon. "Just because you don't like Alastor doesn't mean he is using Lilith."
"Do you not remember what happened to Erin? HE LET HER DIE! HE COULD'VE SAVED HER, BUT HE CHOSE NOT TO, AND NOW HE IS USING LILITH FOR SOMETHING!"
Suddenly Leon was dropped to the floor by Lilith.
'Why do you keep dragging his name through the mud like that. He tried to save Erin, but he couldn't save everyone! No one can."
Leon started crying and ran off
"I guess he hasn't gotten over her death." Benjamin sighed
"I'll go get him" Everyone turned around to see Alastor talking
"But he hates you! No offense" Lillia stated
Alastor walked off in the direction of the academy cemetery
Eventually, he got there, and there he saw Leon crying on Erin's grave
"Leon," Alastor said calmy
Leon turned to see Alastor, and with rage, he pulled a dagger from his boot and attacked him
Alastor took the attack head-on, which landed in his abdomen
Now realizing what he did, Leon let go of the dagger. "W-w-why didn't you dodge."
Alastor pulled Leon close enough to say these words directly in his ear "You may do whatever you want with me, but if you ever do something to hurt Lilith, I will kill you myself."
With that, Alastor walked to her grave. "You know Erin isn't dead, right?"
Leon looked over at Alastor with a confused looked and said, "What?"
"Erin was a part of 'banned magic witches,' so naturally, she has an effigy that revives her somewhere. We need to know where."
Leon wipes her tears and says, "Really?"
"Yea, we need to find her effigy and find out why she hasn't been revived yet."
"Wait, she hasn't been revived yet?"
"By the looks of it, The effigy didn't revive her for some reason, and we need to find out why."
"Alright."
"Anyways, I need to get going; Lilith is probably waiting for me."
With that, Alastor went back to the oak tree to wait for Lilith

The Last Journey
A slice of life litrpg story... or is it? It's burning slow, though. Moving on: War comes with a great cost. Lives and time wasted for most part. One could either be run with sword, be poisoned, be bowed, and sometimes meet their end with just a tiny speck of wood. With magic, it becomes even more colorful. From lightning, to worse poison, to hovering rocks, to weird bladed leaves, to whipping roots, and to a lot more odd things easily reasoned with magic. A wonderful creation. But once used to something more than wonder, more than tricks to gather laughs, it becomes worse. War becomes worse. For there is not only blood to be spilled. A particular town almost met the same end. Soldiers geared with swrords and bows came with mounts. Horses burning lush grasses as it cracked boulders and the soil alike with every step. The kind that only war ones could ever do. Even strange wheeled creations that oozed danger were towed, loaded with something meant to destroy. But not once had they acted upon what such devices should've done, nor what an an army is supposed to do. Siege never occurred, as much as a command to war. No. Magic existed so a simple little fire is all the worth the town has. No sword drawn, no arrows nocked, nothing. Just some mana spent and through the ash they march. That was how Nudius saw her end. It came not even as a surprise. She didn't have the moment to fully register what occurred before she found herself in an empty dark space. Life lost, time spent. All from a fire that had not even touched her. But she knew very well that it was magic. Something she wished to have and strived for to have. Yet it seemed that none of it would matter now. Nudius was well aware of what the color around meant, of the odd situation, of the unfeeling state of her being. It was death and that was it. She didn't have to worry or dream further. Although there wasn't what she truly wanted in what death to her is, but at least, Nudius was comforted to what she believed death is. Rest. But little did she know there's something more than that empty space. It wasn't only the promise of rest, but was also more than she could ever hope for. Another chance at life. Another chance to dream. ***Tags are there just in case. You never know! Umm... HI-MI-TSU. Story blurb+: This is slow burn, quite slice of life story about a girl learning magic. All the while as she fatten herself up. So yeah, progression fantasy. But there's Litrpg! Numbers! Magic! Spells! And of course! There's something more. But read on ahead, please. Oh yes. Plot! There is, too. Disclaimer: The cover isn't made by me. Just layered it with a text. I got it from a free website, if I correctly recall. I'll see to it. (Haven't worked on it.)
