“That was a fun place to explore to, sadly had to end though,” as I sit back on my chair

“Alright time to prepare for my next appointment, I heard that it’s going to be more dangerous and deadlier than my other tests and exploration before.” as I start packing up.

Having a job as an explorer and a test dummy at the same time is pretty dangerous but worth it and fun, I mean I keep nearly dying all the time for the past 2 years of my career, but I do get paid a lot, plus I get to see and touch very crazy things that a normal person doesn’t get to have a chance to look and experience. I mean one time I got to test out a prototype for making dangerous calm and freindly to you, I nearly died when some of them didn’t get affected but I got to pet some of them! Gotta get ready as I need to prepare for the next gadgets to be tested and experimented on.

As he was getting ready, his phone started ringing, and it’s the company that hired him to test something out.

“Is this Jed that we hired to test out one of our prototypes?” as a female voice came out when answering the phone

“Yes, this is Jed, what can I do for you miss?, as I get my camera and other stuff to my backpack

“Well our boss said that there was a change in schedule, and that you have to be here a bit early, since one of our new prototypes was made and fixed, and he wanted it to be tested out as soon as possible, sorry for the sudden change.” as she apologizes profusely 

“It’s fine, I was already about to leave my house soon, and I am looking forward to what the extra prototype your company made, alright I will be going now,” as I end the call

“Welp, guess I better go. Oh ya before I forget I better say bye to Sally,” as I check up to my aquarium, and drop my stuff 

“Hey, Sally, sorry that I have to go so soon, but I'll see you later tonight.” as I smile at her, and the adorable axolotl smiled back

“Alright time to go, don’t want to miss the exciting thing that I get to test out.” as I get my stuff and hurry towards the door, and leave the house.

“Hmmm, that's strange one of the normal universes just changed suddenly,” as the Overseer notifies

“It’s probably nothing, maybe StoryMaker is just editing one of the plots of a universe, I don’t think you need to worry about it,” as the Narrator makes sure none of the narrations gets corrupted

“That’s the thing, usually she would inform me when she made a change on one of the stories, and that’s usually very unlikely as she usually is focused on making new story plots,” the Overseer worried and suspicious of it

“Well you could just you know, go to her office and notify her about it like what we always do when something abnormal happens,” as the Narrator makes a chuckle sound effect

“Eh you are right about that one, alright I'll be right back could you notify me if any changes happen to it,” as the Overseer points at the universe and gets up from his chair

“Alright I will, just don’t take too long, as I am not made to this kind of work,” as the Narrator grows another head to look at the screen

“Alright thank you friend,” as he swiftly runs over to the StoryMaker's office and knocks on it

“Come in!” as a loud and calm voice echoes to Overseers physical body and mind

‘I’ll never get used to that,’ as he opens the door

“Ah, welcome back Overseer, what do you need?” as she looks at the Overseer and at the same time writing a new story.

“Well, one of your universes just abruptly changed a part of the plot, and I was wondering if that was you? Since you always notify me using telepathy to let me know you changed something,” as the Overseer politely stands near her desk

“Hmm strange, I didn’t actually I'll look into it, keep an Eye on it to see if anything strange happens,” as she chuckles at the pun she made

“Haha very funny, anyways I’ll be going now, and I will keep an eye on it, no pun intended,” as he leaves her office swiftly and quietly.

“Hmm, let’s see what’s going on in that universe… Oh it’s one of the calm and boring universes that I made, huh let's have a look

“Welcome Mr. Jed,” as the boss of the company greets him and shakes his hand

“Hello there sir, so what’s with the late announcement of the schedule changing abruptly?” I ask as I follow him

“Well, we were just expecting you to just make you test one of our prototype suits and a device that can edit any object, like a editing software but in real life,” as they walk down stairs

“Sounds pretty cool, but that’s not enough to make you change your mind and make me come here early, isn't it?” as we getting closer to our destination

“You are correct, one of our engineers and researchers was able to finish a device today, early this morning, that allows us to make a portal to any place in the world!” as he loudly says it happily and everyone in the hallway, was startled

“Sorry about that, I am just excited to see it in action, and since I heard that you were a professional tester on things, and I know you quite a bit,” as they reach the testing area

“Here we are, the items that you are going to be testing are over there in the middle of the testing floor,” as he points at the table and then goes to the control/viewing

“Oh alright, let me get my camera attached to me, and get ready,” as I was about to go to the changing room I was stopped

“Oh, you don’t need to change, you can just wear your normal clothes on top of the items you are gonna use,” as one of the researchers shaking her head

“Oh, but I am wearing a tuxedo though? Wouldn’t it, you know, affect my performance and the testing?” as I grab my camera out and attach it to the middle of my shirt

“Don’t worry, you won’t be moving that much anyway, now go and test out the devices and suit,” as the researcher walks into the viewing area.

‘That’s strange, usually every test or exploration I go to, I always change into something, eh least don’t need to spend time changing back.’ I think to myself as I walk over to the table full of prototypes.

“Alright I want you to test out each prototype, from left to right,” as a researcher speaks to the speaker.

“You got it it,” as I pick up the first prototype

‘It seems to be some sort of suit of armor that is very flexible and soft, but is hard. As I put it on the prototype adjusted to my body and felt like my body was stronger. So I decided to run, and was faster than usual and when I lifted one of the testing objects, which was made of metal, I could easily list it up.’

“Not bad, seems the suit is doing its job well, now test out the next prototype,” as the researcher speaks up

“Alright,” as I drop the object, and gone back to the table and picked up the next prototype

‘Huh, it’s a pair of glasses. When I put it on nothing changes except the color of my vision is now light blue, they did say it allows me to make changes to an object. When I walked up near the metal object again, there was an option to change its color and when I chose that option, it went from grayish to blue, but when trying to change its shape or size, it just stopped working or responding.' becoming disappointed

“Oh that's a bit disappointing, only changing the color works for now. Alright test now test out the new prototype that we recently just made today. I’ll let our boss do the talking now,” as she leaves the speaker and he starts talking

“Alright Jed, you can now use the recently built prototype device we just manufactured, try not to break it,” as he stops talking

“Alright then, this looks weird,” as I put up the strange prototype, ’There are buttons that are numbers and letters, there is also a screen that seems to show what button I press. Hmmm am I supposed to be putting coordinates or like a location? If so, what would happen if I type in the word, 'Space.’

As Jed puts in the location to the prototype a portal opened up, and dark empty void is seen through it

“Oh shoot that actually worked,” as I excitedly said before realizing something ”Oh wait I am starting to get dragged into it and the prototypes!” as I try to run but my legs are already off the ground.

“Jed take it off and turn off the prototype to force close the portal and everyone evacuate and rescue him!” as the researchers and the others start leaving fast out of the room and try to save Jed, trying to not get dragged in

“I am trying but it’s not turning off!” as I struggle to turn it off

As Jed was slowly getting into the portal, into deep space he just accepted his fate, and tried to prepare as much as possible, by using the prototypes he used.

‘Welp guess this is how I am gonna die, being sucked into a portal by a device that was recently constructed into space, that’s an interesting and rare way to end’ as I close my eyes prepare for the worse

“Oh no, I should probably prevent the main character in this universe from dying, but intervening would also break the rule that I made for myself… Eh screw it rules are meant to be broken anyway,” as the StoryMaker disappears and brings Narrator and Overseer with her back

“Hey you two we have an emergency, you know that universe with that abnormal change in the plot that Overseer said?” the StoryMaker reminds them

“Yes?” both of them say at the same time

“Well the main character is about to die, but not at the right time. I want you guys to keep watch on me, as I speak to the main character and save him,” as she prepares for the converse

“But won’t that break the plot of the story in that universe and what are you gonna do with the main character once you save him?” as they both prepare to keep watch

“I’ll think of something, but what I’ll definitely will do is that once I save him, I'm gonna edit the whole universe and plot, to make everyone in it forget about him, but that’s after,” as the StoryMaker connects with Jed, “Alright time to have a talk with him,”
