Ash's POV as it is necessary for this chapter.
I was running through the woods. As I tripped and fell over some tree roots I hear the thing I was running from laugh.
"YOU CAN RUN BUT YOU CAN'T HIDE, ASHY!" It called me by the nickname it had given me two years ago. "I WON'T KILL YOU LIKE I DID THE OTHERS! WHAT KIND OF SAYTGF WOULD I BE IF I DID THAT?"
"YOU'RE A MONSTER!" I called into the woods. "YOU KILLED EVERYONE! AND FOR WHAT? MONEY?! POWER?! FAME?!"
"THE FIRST ONE!" It said happily. "YOU WERE ALWAYS MY FAVORITE! SO YOU'LL JUST GO BACK INTO SLAVERY!"
I got back up and ran. I need to get somewhere safe, away from that THING. At least the ground isn't soaked in blood like the halls.
"I SAID YOU CAN'T HIDE!" It was onto me. Even if it was human it was a higher Level then me and as a result it was faster. "I SEE YOU."
I ran faster.
"AND WHAT DO YOU GAIN FROM THIS!?" I yell. "YOU WILL REGRET THIS ONE DAY! HEAR ME!? YOU WILL REGRET IT!" I speak truth.
"AND WHY WOULD I!?" It's catching up. "I'LL HAVE ALL I NEED!"
"YOU WON'T HAVE A FAMILY." I can't keep going I'll have to stop soon. "NOT A MOM, NOT A DAD, NO ONE! YOU'LL HAVE NO ONE!"
It caught me and makes me look at it.
"I will have everything I need. I don't need a family." It looked as though those words hurt to say.
"Then I'll see you in hell." I said before it knocked me out.
I woke with a gasp and covered in sweat. I had that nightmare again? I haven't had one sense I got to the continent. So why was it this one?

I heard hurried footsteps come down the hall, they didn't register. I sat up, hugging my legs. I was scarred. The door opened, that DID register and I looked at the sound.
"Ash?! Are you ok?!" A worried voice said. "I heard a scream!"
"It was a gasp." I sad to the voice. "And yes I'm ok."
"Ash, what happened?" The source said as it let a candle using magic reveling it to be Lucy.
"I just had a nightmare. That's all." I said. "It's no big deal."
"You're crying. If you're crying then it is a big deal." She said as she sat beside me. "Want to tell me about it?"
I recite what happened leaving most details out.
"That's horrible. Why would any one do such a thing?" She said as she gave me a hug. "To think you've been through so much and haven't gone crazy says a lot about you."
"Like what?" I ask unsure if I rely want to know. "What does it say?"
"It says that you're strong and nice and smart and so so many other things." She said. "It make you special in more ways then one." She boobed my nose. Why did she boob my nose?
"Don't boob me." I say in defense. She did not stop. "NO STOP IT! NO BOOBING THE KITSUNE!"
"But you're adorable." She says. "And I want to boob the Kitsune."
"NO STOP IT. STOP IT!" I say. "HEY! THAT TICKLES! STOP THAT!"
"Ok ok. I'll stop." She says laughing. "You're just to easy to tease."
"No I am not." I say sitting back up. "You just get to me easily."
"It made you feel better though." She said as she got up. "I'm going back to bed."
Before she walks away I grab her arm.
"Can you stay with me?" I as shyly. "Please?"
"Of course, Ash." She moves into the bed. "Good night, Ash."
Why am I so nervous? We did this a few weeks ago. "G-good night."

Surprisingly, in the fantasy LitRPG genre. A girls death forms the foundation for a plan centuries in the making. But when she shakes off their control, and forces the plans of beings millenia old to change, can she avoid being tied up as a loose end? With only what she could take with her in her mind, and a new body with surprising depths, she begins her new life in a world unlike her own. This is my first writing project in almost a decade, so there is going to be a lot of improvements from me as I shake off the rust. And of course, as the world I'm creating comes to life! So if you like the concept, please bear with me, and hopefully I'll reach the high standards I know you have. Edit (04/04/2018): Witness the power of my complete lack of any artistic talent! There is now cover art for this fiction. Its just barely better than the default, but hey, minimalism is in, right?
