《Adventures in Atalok》Training a pyro

The cafeteria was ridiculous having almost everything below a certain price was free there wasn’t steak and lobster but it was a world fair of food Sushi, burgers, pasta, tacos burritos, curry, battered fish it just kept going not to even touch on the deserts needless to say Spencer grabbed enough for a table of ten only to tell the gnome he might want to grab something. Taking an entire booth to themselves they ate luckily they were in a corner as it was a disgusting sight the gnome would later recall that moment as his most terrifying. After finishing the gnome was looking at him wanting to ask questions but too scared to with a sigh he started
“ my name is Allan Albus you?”
“Jeff, little-forest, so are you a traveler?”
“Yes but I can already tell you are not”
“What how both sides look the same”
“We don’t call ourselves travelers but that doesn't matter”
“You said something about getting better at pyromancy”
“True but I don’t think you have a huge problem just the way you think of fire”
“Wha.. what do you mean”
“Tell me what word, term or emotion best describes fire”
“Well clean”
“That's your problem I bet most did anger but in truth, Wrath is what did it for me”
“Wrath? How did u figure that?”
“Simple clean would work but if you figure water is its opposite is water unclean?”
“I… I see that makes so much more sense no wonder I was getting nowhere”
“Yeah and a Prof-like that doesn't help, so what are you going to do now?”
“I’ll have to go in tomorrow and use it So I can go to advanced courses”
“Can I ask something why pyromancer?”
“The professor said it didn’t he pyromancy has the most attack power I wish to protect those close to me”
“Then why not earth magic? I mean if the goal is to defend that would be the magic to do so.”
“You have a point but what good is defending only If I can’t attack. Why did you choose it”
“In all honesty, I’m a completionist I don’t even know what magic I want to specialize in.”
And other travelers?
“We in general really like fire I have no idea why most people probably just want to have the ability to control fire.”
“You travelers are weird you know that”
“O I know believe me you think the fire people are crazy you don’t want to know what we consider weird Pyros are somewhat normal.”
“Like what?”
“Well I can almost guarantee you that there will be a bunch of men pretending to be girls and vice verse some really weird ones will be like 40 and become a 17-year-old girl so I advise avoid trying to sleep with them”
“I see”
“Yeah anyway back on subject fire what will you do “
“Train tonight I guess and attend tomorrow hopefully pass”
“Hmm Considering the next class I can take is beginner summoning I’ll train you”

“What really?
“Sure mostly because the Prof annoys me”
“I see”
“Alright let's grab snacks and We’ll go back to my dorm room”
The two quickly went back through the line up grabbing whatever would stay good through the night. With a quick poof the arrived in front of a large wooden door, however, there was one problem there were no handles or keyholes.
“What the hell the old man must be senile a door without a door nob really”
“You really haven’t been here long have you”
“Why”
The gnome sighed “give me the key”
Handing the key over the gnome with little effort pushed the key into the door turning the key a click was heard and the door swung open
“What the are you sure you need my help o master of door opening”
“Actually doors like this are common it’s actually a multi-gate basically each key connects to one of a select few rooms within a given area”
“So one door lots of rooms got it “
“Yea also the key can only be used here so you can't go somewhere else and use it to come back”
As they entered the room both were shocked expecting at most a small house to train in what they entered was a huge mansion with walls covered in books if Spencer had to guess every inch of wall space had books it was more than the library had had . after wandering around for an hour they finally found a side room opening the door a statue in the form of an average looking man sitting as well as a table and chairs as well as an area to meditate. sitting down spencer gave some advice basically describing how it felt and what he was thinking. Without warning the statue stood up scaring the two men causing spencer to fall over backward.
“I am the Librarian Here to help you find whatever books you may require”
“Jesus really Is everything magic out to either confuse or scare me”
“Come on Allen it’s just a construct”
“Still some warning would've been nice”
“Liberian can you get me books on summoning that would be greatly appreciated”
“That can be arranged please wait here.”
“As well as books on meditation”
“It can be arranged”
“So why did you want a book on meditation Al”
“Meditation makes regenerating magic faster right, so by casting a summon spell and then meditating, I should be able to train in it really fast.
“You are a workaholic know that”
“Yep”
After a few minutes the Librarian appeared again placing a pile taller than he was on the table quickly scanning the books he discovered something to his delight there were two types of summons, a beast summon and an elemental summon which required being able to sense the elements which he could do, however, elemental summoning needed his sensing ability to level as well. Grabbing a book on meditation and quickly scanning through confirmed it was the stereotypical meditation pose. Focusing half on the meditation and half trying to figure out how to summon. Taking the class the next day would probably be easier but he only had 29 more game days left until he had to switch to something else, from what he could gather a summon was an animal that was brought here by magic and the higher the level the summon was the better the animal would be considering he was at level 0 as well as his summoning level was at 0 he would have to summon an LVL 0 monster focusing on the only LVL 0 creature he knew . 12 hrs later a small mouse appeared nxt to Allen. With a smug expression, spenser left his summon alone and focused on his elemental sense and meditation. After a few more hours the librarian spoke

“Excuse me young sirs it is currently 8 am classes for today begin in an hour”
“K Allen thanks for the help one question before I leave how did you keep the fireball shaped without a wand or staff?
Wth a huge yawn a look of some fear was shown on Allen's face the gnome could only laugh Allen had sat in his cross-legged meditation for over 12 hrs, of course, his legs were asleep after Allen moved his legs by hand he started talking
“The only may I can describe it is I keep it moving the fire energy to me isn’t just a pile of fire energy but a lot of fire string that is moved around to make a ball “
“Huh that is the first time anyone has described it like that the other person I asked said that it was like feeding the fire to itself”
“I can see that working, anyway let's get something to eat ”
After gaining the use of his legs spencer stood up putting the mouse on his shoulder thanks to having the little guy summoned his summoning had gone up to level 3 out of a hundred but there weren’t many small animals to pick with summoning that would have higher levels a cat or dog maybe but they were too big and it cost almost nothing to keep the mouse summoned. Getting up he and Jeff went out the front door and warped to breakfast. Surprisingly a lot of people were here compared to last time as they walked through the line up grabbing food more and more people started to stare at the two after finding a seat the two began eating while talking about random topics Jeff described his hometown as well as why Travelers couldn’t come back here. It seemed the gods trusted travelers as much as an atheist believes in god, not at all. The idea was that if travelers decided the residence were no longer necessary they could retreat here. Meaning a traveler could come back if the gods trusted them and they had a good reason. The two continued talking as a group approached lead by a tall human woman altho most of her bodily features were covered by a royal looking cloak it was obvious to those who saw that she was a beauty. The closer she drew the quieter people got. Until only two voices could be heard.
“So Allen what class is you going to next You can summon so there shouldn't be a problem there.”
“I’m thinking animating and binding one or the other”
The girl stared at the two and irritatedly began to speak
“So you are the one I’ve been hearing so much about”
“So jeff what are you planning on taking after your fire intro class “
“Ughh aren't you going to respond to her Allen”
“Don’t really want to she wants one of three things put me in my place because how dare a peasant to look better than her, try to draft me into her family business which I don't want or finally say she'll get revenge for something I have no Idea about”
“Huh, what if she just wants to talk?”
The girl was obviously getting angrier the longer she stood there
“If she wanted to just talk there was no need to come here and basically say hey you with the face”
“I see”
“HOw dare you talk about me as if I’m not here you dare to disrespect my family”
Allen looked at Jeff with a sigh “Why is it that Rich snobby kids always bring their families into things seriously someone hurts their feelings and ints right to mommy and daddy”
HOW dare you speak to me like this do you have any idea who I am!”
“Someone whose parents has some sort of influence somewhere and think they are unstable because of it and even if you told me I wouldn’t care because You yourself are nobody just like everybody else, and before you go off again if you want to talk with someone it usually goes along these lines Hi my name is Whatever I heard this about you is it true and I’d respond with Hi Allen Albus nice to meet you whatever your name is, yeah that happened. Anyway, I’m going to class.”
Standing up he left the booth staring at the girl and her little entourage 4 men plus her were glaring at him and due to his elemental sense, he could see they were either going to attack or threaten him. Looking at the five with a look of complete boredom he looked at Jeff
“You want to warp over to your class”
“Yeah that sounds good
“You think I’ll just let you leave after all you’ve said!”
“Actually yes I do because I don’t fear you or your group and by now you should have figured something was wrong”
Without another word, a fire tornado wide enough for the five to be surrounded appeared the five had also activated their magic water earth wind lightning and the girl herself wielded ice. The five only saw Allen walking towards them then without warning, he disappeared the next thing they knew they were on the ground and the fire tornado had disappeared and the Gnome named Jeff as well as Allen were gone.

Life Hunter
Arimane Blade was a living legend. He had been granted many names. They were not all bright. Some hailed him as a messiah, others slandered him as the Devil. One day like any other, decades after his retirement, an old god informed him that he had been killed by mistake and offered him a chance to start a new life with a younger body. Where? A place where fantasies are reality and where everything is possible. This is where the story of the most legendary human started. People couldn't find a name for such a controversial being. Instead, they began to call him by his first and most fitting title: 'The Kind Demon' --- Note: This is a re-upload. I have 260 chapters to go through and I'll probably do it in the following week or two... probably.

Saga of Fallen Kings, Book I: The Revenant Prince
The Philosopher King once conquered the known world, his power seemingly unlimited and his armies inexhaustible. Since that time his might has slowly unravelled, and his once steadfast empire has begun to crack, splinter and devour itself. In the isolated Southern Realms, where even magic has abandoned them, none of that matters. For years it has been filled with warring kingdoms, where as many kings die to the blade as to old age, and constant battles tear apart the land. When one such kingdom invades its old enemy, the King and his heir, Prince Caden, are killed. Unable to accept the loss of his family Prince Arian is broken, and when the Philosopher King stretches out his hand in aid, Arian takes it without a second thought. When Caden wakes from death, he's different. His eyes and soul have changed, and he finds a world filled with friends who no longer trust he's even human. Suddenly thrust onto the throne and indebted to the Philosopher King, Caden has no choice but to keep going - he must finish what his father started, and try to survive the machinations of the figure who now owns his fealty. Meanwhile something beyond death stirs for him, desiring nothing more than to drag him back into its embrace. Author's Note: This story used to be known as "A King of his Own", but after some consideration I have decided to rebrand it. The first reason is that I was growing increasingly dissatisfied with the title. The second is that I have come increasingly to view this story as a 'saga' containing multiple 'books' rather than one long, continuous publication, and as I did so I realized that as I was quickly getting to a point in the story where I wanted the first 'book' to end. This doesn't mean I'm going back on the things I said below - they're just going to continue in the next book of the Saga of Fallen Kings. :) Also, be aware that I do plan to edit this at some point. Though I take care to squash out any obvious errors when I proof-read, and do simple edits in that process, at some point I'm almost certainly going to do large edits that might significantly change parts of the story. Old author's notes: This started as a completely random writing session. There was no purpose or direction, but as I kept typing an entire world began to form in my mind that I knew I had to write about. My plan is to turn this story into a veritable medieval fantasy epic that spans an entire world, follows multiple character and storylines, and takes place over many years. The story has quite a grounded, almost 'realistic' start, but many more fantastical elements will be introduced, expanded upon and become central to the narrative. I have ideas for this story that make me genuinely excited and I hope you enjoy my work as much as I enjoy writing it, and join me on what will hopefully become a truly massive fantasy epic. If you do enjoy this story please consider following, rating and leaving a review. I'm also happy to answer any questions or comments you have. Dreamland invasion
Dear Humans,I am very sorry that I have to inform you about the upcoming invasion of our world by foreign forces. We, the management, want to sincerely apologize for allowing this oversight. Sadly, the degree as to which we can interfere in this conflict is severely limited as this would allow the opposing party to act in a similar manner. But please don't worry, contingencies have already been implemented to maximize the effect of the little support we can give. Thus we ask you, to work together in stemming the coming tide, so that humanity may remain on the victorious side. As long as humanity beliefs, there is hope.Yours truly,God of public relations

In a Civilized Manner
A self-proclaimed seeker of peace and his trusty "system" venture on a journey to flip the world on its back—in a civilized manner, of course. Edris has always aimed for a peaceful, carefree life, but the world around him? Not so much. It started with encountering the amnesic, system-like entity in his head. From there, only absurdities followed. Aristocratic conspiracies, mismatched identities, intercontinental wars... Hold on—did he just get called a prophet? In any case, as the world descends into chaos, Edris's carefree life may be just a bit further away than expected. UPDATES TUES-THUR-SAT NOTE: This is a progression fantasy with LITRPG/GameLit elements planned for later arcs. Once the story reaches that point, I'll then add the tags.
