《The Diamonds》Your True Self

I stood in the shower in my bathroom with Asher's arms wrapped around me. I never thought I'd be sharing a shower with a guy. If my future self went to my past self and told him that I would share a shower with a guy, I would've laughed at him. But here I am, doing the thing I never imagined I'd do.
Asher had his head on my shoulder and I had my head on his.
"You know something Ron?" Asher said.
"What?" I said.
"The water in here feels really nice," Asher said with a sigh of content. "I don't want to get out just yet. Not to mention the sex we just had before this was pretty good too."
"Yeah." I said. Even though having sex with Asher was good I still longed to see Abigail again. The fact that she was being brainwashed and she wasn't going to be herself the next time I saw her broke my heart. With each passing day of not seeing her made my heart break even more.
"You know something Asher?" I said.
"What?" Asher replied.
"I think I'll just take the day off today."
Asher sighed, "You're still worried sick about Abigail aren't you?"
"I guess so. I'm more heartbroken than worried. I know that the next time I see her, she won't be her. She'll be someone else that I don't know," I said. I started to cry and Asher held me even more tightly than before. "I just… I just…"
Asher shushed me. "It's okay Ron. I understand, you're grieving right now. Even though you're calling off today, I'm going to do the same."
"Why?"
"Because I know you want to be alone but I don't think you should be alone."
"Let me guess, you don't want me to do anything stupid."
"Yup. That's exactly why."
"Fine." I mumbled. I really didn't want anyone around me at the moment, but Asher did have a point. If I was alone at this time then I would probably go out and do something stupid like try and track down Abigail on my own.
After we finished our shower, we got dressed just so we could go report to the main conference room to call off work.
Patty looked surprised and happy at the same time to see us. This puzzled me. "Okay. What's going on?"
"Well," said Patty, "I was actually getting to page you two over the intercom. It seems Wrinkler's been able to figure out where Abigail is!"
"What?" Asher and I gasped.
"Where is she?" I asked.
"Well it seems that she was at Shaw Castle this whole entire time!" Patty said, "That explains why she kept telling you she was in some sort of dungeon. She might be staying in her old room. When we lived there before the battle took place."
Asher tilted his head. "Say what now?"
"That's right when the Diamonds first arrived on earth they stayed at Shaw Castle," I explained, "So if Abigail's there then of course Dr. Crow would think to have her stay somewhere familiar, that is if she even remembers that."
"Alrighty then," said Patty, "I'll be sending you out now to meet up with Wrinkler."
That surprised me, "Now? Why now?"
"Because you want to catch her don't you?" Patty replied.
I nodded. "Yes."
"Well Wrinkler will meet you at this place," Patty said. She went over the computer screen and pulled up a place that looked like a t-shirt shop. I recognized it was the t-shirt shop that was right outside the mall. The very same mall where Asher and I had a 'friendly' game of tag to win the heart of Abigail.

I looked at Asher and chuckled, "Hmm, remember that time when we played that game for laser tag a few months ago?"
I tried to keep my laughter in as Asher's face went bright red in embarrassment. "I, uh…"
Patty snorted. "Okay, I have no idea what the embarrassment is for right now but we have serious business to worry about at the moment. Now, you two will need to have your brooches on you at all times because you shouldn't use your keys unless it's really needed to. Got it?"
Me and Asher nodded.
"Well there's nothing else to do but get changed and go meet Wrinkler," Patty said.
As Asher and I went to get changed, I smiled. Finally, I would be able to get to Abigail and bring her back to the safety of my arms.

Once Asher and I met up with Wrinkler we switched to using our codenames again because we were now considered on a mission.
"So Agent Dawn," I said eager to figure out where Abigail was, "what news do you have regarding Agent Black's location?"
Wrinkler smiled. "Look Agent Silver, I know you're eager to find Agent Black but let's take things slow. From what I was able to see I saw her walking around the outside of the castle a couple days ago." His smile faded and he sighed. "But she looks really… Different…"
I frowned. "Different how?"
"Remember when you saw her transform into Black Daybreak Diamond?" Wrinkler asked.
I nodded. "Yes, why?"
"Well…" Wrinkler looked away and I had no idea why he trailed off so suddenly.
I gulped and I felt like I had a lump in my throat and suddenly it was hard to breathe. I knew why Agent Black looked different. She was transformed into Black Daybreak Diamond and now she wasn't Agent Black. She was Princess Black.
Wrinkler looked at me with concern. "Okay Agent Silver, take a deep breath and calm down."
I gulped again trying desperately to regain my composure. Wrinkler led me over to a nearby bench and I sat down. Asher sat down beside me.
"Agent Dawn," said Asher, "I think Agent Silver needs a glass of water to help calm him down."
Wrinkler nodded and he went into the t-shirt shop and brought back with him a bottle of water. I took it from him and took a couple of sips from it. That seemed to help me regain my composure finally.
"Okay, look this isn't going to be easy," said Wrinkler, "not by a long shot. It's very possible Agent Black is now Princess Black. Given the information she told you about what was going to happen to her, she probably won't remember you or any of us at the moment. It's going to be even harder to at least convince her to come with us. She won't trust us, that's for sure."
"Lovely," I said, "This just keeps getting better and better. Now what?"
Wrinkler sighed, "The only thing I can think to do is head over to Shaw Castle. We'll figure out what to do next."
I sighed, "Well, if that's all we can do. Then that's all we can do."

{Princess Black}
The next time I opened my eyes the light blinded me wherever I was. I immediately closed my eyes.
"Are you okay princess?" I heard someone say. It sounded a lot like Shinjin's voice. I groaned. "I'm okay. I think?"

"You don't look like you're okay," Shinjin said. I could hear the concern in his voice. He also sounded panicked.
I opened my eyes slowly and looked over to see the worried look on his face and that scared me. "So my question is, are you okay?"
Shinjin gulped. "I'm sort of okay."
I raised an eyebrow. "Sort of okay? What do you mean by that?"
"Uh, well…" Shinjin looked away and I could tell by the look on his face, he didn't want to tell me what was wrong.
"Okay," I said, "just tell me what's wrong."
Shinjin sighed, "Okay fine. Dr. Crow did some tests to figure out why you were having those headaches and well it seems you're sick."
I tilted my head. "Alright then, so am I going to die or something? Is that why you're so terrified?"
"Uh, no, you're not going to die," said Shinjin, "you can't be killed but the problem is it seems like the government is looking for you."
I was confused. Government? Seriously, what the hell does that have to do with me?
"There's a government that runs the country that this castle sits on," Shinjin explained, "You're valuable to them for some reason. I don't know why exactly-" He stopped himself. "Well saying I don't know why is sort of a lie."
I rolled my eyes. At this point I was starting to feel annoyed with the roundabout answers Shinjin was giving me. "Honestly Shinjin! Would you just give me a straight answer so I don't have to jump through hoops here?"
"Okay then," said Shinjin, "half truth here, I'm not sure why you're valuable to the government but you are. I'm going to assume it has something to do with the fact that you're a princess."
"So am I supposed to be ruling over this government or something?" I questioned, "Is that why they're after me?"
Shinjin rubbed the back of his neck. "Uh well, I can't really say why they're after you. Um, Dr. Crow told me not to say anything. As it stands at the moment you're sick so you need to stay here and rest. And you won't be able to walk around the grounds much unless it's indoors."
"Why can't I walk around outside?" I said.
"It's because Dr. Crow has information that agents from the government have been sent after you and they've been spotted close by the castle," Shinjin answered.
"Oh," I said, "Well as long as I don't have anymore of those stupid headaches and that name being shouted in my head, it's all good with me."
Shinjin nodded. "Okay then."
I looked around the room to see that it wasn't the same room that I had shared with Dr. Crow. The brick walls were bare and there wasn't really much to look at. I had a dresser that looked like it was made of wood. I didn't know what type of wood it was made from but I figured it wasn't important so I didn't ask. What I was interested in were the glass knobs on the drawers. They were made of sort of black tinted glass. What type of glass I had no idea.
Shinjin turned his head toward the dresser. "Why are you so curious about the dresser?"
I shook my head. "I don't know. I'm not interested in the whole dresser. I'm more interested in the knobs on the dresser."
Shinjin looked at me and raised an eyebrow. "The knobs on the dresser drawers? Why are you interested in them?"
I went over to the dresser and examined the knobs on it closer and it didn't look like there was tinted glass on them. It looked like the glass was actually crystal. Black crystals to be exact. For some reason, I was drawn to them. When I reached one of the knobs they glowed. I looked back at Shinjin. "Are these knobs supposed to glow?"
Shinjin shook his head. "I don't know. Dr. Crow did say you needed to be next to those for a little bit. They should help you recover and I'm not sure why."
I looked at the other knobs to see that they weren’t glowing. It was the knob that I just touched that was. “Hmmm that’s interesting.”
“What is?” Shinjin asked.
“I’m not really sure but I feel like this crystal is calling me to it,” I answered.
Shinjin tilted his head. “What do you mean?”
I shrugged. “I have no idea.”

{Ron}
We headed towards Shaw Castle. We barely got a few miles away from the t-shirt shop when we were met with two of Dr. Crow’s agents.
I rolled my eyes and thought Of course we would run into agent’s before we even got started on finding Abigail. Why am I not surprised?
One of the agents smiled a wicked smile. “Well now what do we have here? A couple of DA’s looking to get their asses kicked!”
“Are we supposed to be scared or offended by that?” I said with sarcasm.
The agent stared at me and didn’t respond. He jumped over to the rooftop that we were on. He gave us a snide smile. He paused when he saw me. "Well now, you wouldn't happen to be Agent Silver now would you?"
This statement puzzled me. "Okay, why do you want to know?"
Wrinkler put a hand on my shoulder. When I looked at him, he shook his head.
The Agent cocked his head to the side. "Oh no reason, except for the fact that Dr. Crow's been looking for you for a while now."
I raised an eyebrow. "Huh?"
The Agent smiled. "Dr. Crow's been looking ever since he saw you at that mattress store. The one that you and your buddy Agent Shadow blew up."
"Well if you know who I am then why did you ask me who I am?" I before rolling my eyes.
"I just needed to confirm it first," The Agent replied.
I didn't say anything but I did pull out my weapon. It's two short blades similar to the one that I made for Abigail. I wondered if she still had it now she's with Dr. Crow. I rolled my eyes when I saw what Dr. Crow's Agent's weapon was. It was a pair of num-chuks.
Wrinkler snorted. "Num-chuks? Seriously? That's the best weapon Dr. Crow could give you? Wow."
The Agent smirked. "I wouldn't be underestimating me so quickly."
The Agent threw his num-chuks and they almost hit Wrinkler in the stomach but he moved out of the way just in time. They boomeranged around but somehow Asher was able to catch them as he stepped in front of Wrinkler and they wrapped around his wrist.
Asher growled. "Nice try asshole! Now let's see how you like this!"
He snarled when Asher threw the num-chuks at the Agent and he jumped out of the way. Or at least he tried to jump out of the way. His num-chuks hit him right in his stomach and it looked like he got the wind knocked out of him. The Agent got to his feet and smirked. "Not bad Mr. DA what else have you got for me?"
"How about this?" Wrinkler snarled. He ran over towards the agent but then another agent stepped in his way and put him in a chokehold. He broke free of it just as fast the agent put him in it. He turned around and punched the agent in the stomach and I flinched as he snapped the guy's neck and tossed his lifeless body over the edge of the rooftop.
Before we knew it we were surrounded by Dr. Crow's agents. Of course Dr. Crow would think to send an army after us. Especially since Dr. Crow's been looking for me ever since the mattress store. Well even though I really want to rescue Abigail, getting myself caught probably wouldn't be the best way to do it. Asher and Patty are right about that. Because if I get caught then I won't be able to fulfill my promise to rescue her.
The more of the Agents we fought off, it seemed more of them kept coming. I didn't know if Wrinkler had a weapon but if he did, he wasn't using it. But Asher was definitely using his weapon. I smiled because I'm the main one that makes the weapons. Asher's weapon was two Maces connected together with an iron chain. Although I've never seen him train with the weapon, he uses his brute strength to do the most amount of damage he can to his opponents.
By this time I got used to the sound of Dr. Crow's Agents necks being snapped or cries of pain from them as they were being killed. As the fight dragged on I was starting to run out of steam. So much so that all it took was one punch to the gut to send me flying over the rooftop and doing a crash landing on the ground fifty feet below the rooftop.
I thought for sure if I was going to pass out at least considering the Diamonds are supposedly indestructible we can't really be killed. The world was starting to go dark when I heard the voice inside my head, Ron! Prince Silver! Use me!
Huh? I thought.
I looked up to see my key floating above me. Prince Silver, if you want to keep yourself from getting captured by Dr. Crow's agents, use me! Please! Say the words and transform into your true self.
I gulped and then I knew the voice coming from the key was right. If I didn't want to get captured by Dr. Crow's agents I had to transform into him. Or if I wanted to be more correct, my true self. My true self whether I wanted to believe it or not, I was Prince Silver and Abigail's true self was Princess Black.
"Fine," I mumbled. I took a deep breath and shouted the words. "Silver… Wind… Diamond… Release!"
I practically snarled the word 'release' but after I said it, my key came back to me and went into my chest and I felt pressure. I thought I might be having a heart attack or something like that but no it was the power from the key transforming me into my true self. After a moment or two the pressure from my chest left and I was able to stand up again.
"Well aren't you a looker!" I heard a voice say. I rolled my eyes and when I turned around, one of Dr. Crow's agents gave me a flirting look. He blew a kiss at me and winked. The guy was totally not my type. True he had muscles on him. I'll give him that. But he had one of the ugliest faces that I had ever seen. Or least in my opinion he did. He had a long nose that looked like a witches nose complete with a mole on it.
"It's no wonder why Dr. Crow's been looking for you for so long," the agent said with a smirk, "I bet you're pretty good in bed. I wonder if Dr. Crow wouldn't mind if I sample the goods?"
I gagged. "Gross!"
"Yeah I don't think he wants that," I heard Asher say, "He's spoken for and by two people as a matter of fact."
I smiled when I turned around and saw Asher with a look of awe on his face. "Did you…"
I nodded. "Transform into him? Yeah it looks like I did. It did save me the trouble of passing out though. So I guess it's okay?"
Asher whistled. "I think it's more than okay! But I'm not using my key anytime soon."
"Why-" I said. I didn't have time to react when I felt something whiz past my face and leave a small cut on my cheek. I stumbled forward with the impact of whatever hit me. I wiped the blood off my face and looked at my hand to see the silver blood on it. It was the same color of blood that I've been seeing happen every time I get cut or just injured in general.
When I turned around I snarled at the agent. "Okay now I'm mad!"
"Aww you poor thing," the agent pouted, "Did I hurt your feelings?"
I charged at the guy and all he had to do to dodge me was step to the side and I fell flat on my face. The agent chuckled, "You got to do much better than that if you want to fight me."
I got to my feet and I don't know why, but I didn't seem to have the strength to go on with fighting. I just stood there not knowing what to do. But what I really wanted to do was pass out and sleep for at least a couple of days. As the world started to spin I heard this voice shout, "LightSaber!"
"Huh?" I said barely managing to get the word out. A huge burst of light came out of nowhere and I looked over to see some strange woman that looked a lot like Abigail the way she would look if she were transformed into Princess Black but the color of her clothes were different. I didn't have time to get a good look at her before I fell over and the world went dark on me.

Super Sekken (An Action Shonen Story)
This is the author’s first story ever written. It may not be great, but do check it out, and I hope you enjoy! I’m currently working on its sequel. Hope. Courage. Self-value. Friends. These all were traits that former junior high soccer champion and first year Miyuki Sekken had none of until she first walked into the doors of her local High School. Despite being a sports athlete phenomenon in her school district, Miyuki dreaded its attention, and even quit her career in pursuit of living a simplistic daily routine. This daily routine would be inevitably interrupted when she chooses to 'branch out' by talking to people. Whether it be a chance of bad luck, fate, or karma, Sekken ends up speaking to someone who was unknowingly suffering from a curse: a curse that causes anyone who tries to get close to them to disappear. Miyuki Sekken would be the next victim, finding herself face-to-face against a once-thought mythical mafia. This gang is not just any gang either, but one who is run solely by the school students of Maguro High, who hold secrets to powers unheard of by the world. How will this first year survive? Will she conquer her anxiety and thwart the gang's vicious rule? Or will she end up losing more than she could have imagined? P.S. I am not a good drawer, so I use Picrews and photo editors to get the general idea for my characters' designs. Rights to the Picrews used go to their respective authors.
