Luke is currently experiencing boredom, he just finished playing his favorite game after 19 hours of non stop gameplay, he decided to finally rest which is wise considering he smelled exactly like his old laundry which just happen to be sitting on the corner of his room.
Luke has been 'trapped' inside his home for a couple of months now due to a global pandemic. at first he was happy because that means he can take all the time he wants to do what he wants as long as it's done inside his home, that is until he lost his job, the company he worked for had to reduce workers because they are losing money because of the pandemic, so to fill time and temporarily forget the fact that he is jobless he turned to his hobby which is games, Luke has always been an RPG openworld guy but now he wanted something more.
for about the seventh?... Time today Luke wishes he can just jump into his game and live a life as an adventurer, free of everyday responsibility and just enjoy life slaying monsters or trading goods.
"do i need to get hit by a truck or something? Ugh.. just let me jump in!"
Luke said to nobody while shaking his game screen

Somewhere in space an unusual anomaly popped up inside the solar system, the anomaly looked like a point of light and was radiating some sort of energy from it of course sensors around the earth picked this up, normally it would be no problem sensors pick up something researchers analyse it and so on the problem is where the anomaly is, it was right next to earth, so from the surface it looked like a second sun just materialized out of nowhere, you can already guess the reaction, people panic, religius zealots started preaching, news station racing on who can record it first, researchers panicking at the situation and drooling at whatever the hell this anomaly is and government leaders rushing to calm people down, as for Luke he just sat stunned on his porch looking at the second sun in the sky. just when he was looking at it the anomaly started glowing brighter and several things happened after this:
1.several earth probes got blinded
2.a dreamy voice saying "fear not mortal as your wish has been granted" heard inside our protagonist head
3.chaos among people who Saw it got brighter (duh)
4. Reports of people protesting across the world
5.cries of milllions of curious researchers as the anomaly Vanished from the face of the universe

Vina is tired and sad and there are several reasons for this, she was tired because she had walked through dirt path in the forest of sagar for several days to reach a small town called lannegar, why she is sad is tied to the reason why she had to go to lannegar, she had to abandon her homevillage because the nivarian alliance just recently 'repurposed' her village into a war camp why you said well apparently the mysterious Undead army had started to advance farther into the alliance's outermost Border which is where her village is.
she knew only a little about the Undead army, rumor said it's controlled by a powerful and corrupt archmage, so now her village just turned into a military fortress used to manage the frontline, as a result she had to move and it's not easy either not alot of towns accepts her species the beastmen, she looked down to her map and figured it would just be two days before she arrives to the town looking down the map she inevitably looked at her muzzle too and sees the paint job on it and internally sighed 'one day i'm gonna get this Mark removed' her convoy of thought was interrupted by the sound something landing near her, her posture stiffed, she was scared but her curiousity beats her self-preservation and decided to check it, she rustled through the bush to find the source, she finally reached the edge of a small clearing in the forest and what she Saw confused her, there was someone but that someone in particular is weird not tall enough to be an elf and it had round ears but not a dwarf because it was too tall one thing for sure is whoever this man is that he was as confused as her, looking around him like a lost pup she decided to help but just before she crossed the clearing edge the mans head snapped to her direction 'how did he hear me?' she was pondering it when the man who is currently staring daggers her direction went wide eyed and screamed, she screamed in response and fell out of the bush she was sitting in and hell let loose
----~----
Luke was scared, REAL scared, he was sitting on his porch when a bright light appeared on the sky with a soft voice played in his head and now he's in the middle of a forest he didn't recognize, and as if to make things worse he spotted something outside the clearing he is sitting in eyeing at him like a predator and of course since he was disoriented he screamed out of instinct the thing growled in response and jumped out of it's hiding place, the Scream stopped when he studied what's in front of him, a werewolf like thing is currently sitting in front of him staring at him but not the scary stare he Saw before but instead a stare you'll find on someone who is dumbfounded or perhaps shocked, something clicked inside his brain as the situation catched up with him, the thing in front of him seemingly experiencing the same thing, they both got up he picked up the closest stick and aimed it at the werewolf, the werewolf did same thing except rather than a stick it was a dagger, the tension slowly goes down as the two sides started realizing that they're both sentient, Luke lowered his stick as the wolf-like-not-werewolf-and-also-lady started lowering her dagger, they both stared at each other for a solid minute before the wolf like lady started speaking with a language he didn't recognize, it was combination of words and snarls he couldn't understand although judging from the condition it was probably a 'what are you' question he elected to stay quiet while trying to look confused

Vina is dumbfounded, whoever this man is he somehow doesn't understand common there is reason why it's called common, sure it was beastmen variant which include beastmen sounds but atleast he should be able to understand SOME of her words but he just stands there looking confused, just as she was wondering why he can't understand her the strangeness of the man in front of her finally caught up to her. he was using a plain shirt and pants with a bunch of pockets but the material is strange, it looked soft like silk but it doesn't shine like most silk products she has seen in her life then she realized the man had no weapon or anything than clothes on him really 'was he robbed? No he looked way too clean for someone getting robbed how did he end up here?'
Luke was looking at the wolf lady she apparently entered some kind of thinking phase sitting there with closed eye, hand to the chin with ears flicking left and right like a metronome, he noted how she dressed clearly leather garments with poor thread work 'is she poor?' she had greyish and white fur and a red facepaint on her muzzle 'well not exactly facepaint more like hairdye or is it furdye?' He reasoned inside his head anyway she was carrying a pack and what looked like a bow and camping equipment strapped to it on the outside, primitive equipment but equipment nontheless. he was taking a closer Look at her when she opened her eyes making him jump the woman visibly chuckled at the sight or atleast something resembling a chuckle coming from a wolf person, she got up and started doing hand signs something about walking? No... Travelling! To where though? A roof a wall... Her home? No multiple roof and Walls and a broad land? A big door wait no gate.... oh a town! 'Hell yeah' he suddenly forgot all his troubles, he might be in the middle of a forest with a wolf lady but he hadn't forgotten about safety.
----~----
'interesting' Vina thought as the man in front of him visibly and audibly brighten up at her hand signs, he seemed smart enough to recognize what her hand signs meant 'that's a good sign hehe... Uhhh that's horrible' she looked up to see the man checking his pockets, he pulled out a strange slab of something out of his pocket it looked like a slab of metal and glass with a few bits here and there she was looking over the man shoulder to take a look at the strange thing when it Lit up she gasped at how such thing Lit up without visible fuel or runes the man just gave her a weird look
----~----
Luke forgot about his phone as he just figured out that he is on another world just about a minute ago as he realized how strange this forest is not to mention the wolf woman, speaking of wolf woman she looked exactly like your standard beastmen from fantasy stories or as the modern Times called Them.... 'furries' he thought as he somehow shuddered in memory of what those particular people are up to while at same time chuckled at the ridicoulusness of it all, as expected there is no signal but hey atleast he got a camera and several offline games he can play, the battery of phone is well... Not bad 67% but not great either as he realized there is no charging port until atleast several centuries if he correctly guessed the period of the world he's in, he was checking the phone systems when he felt something furry on his shoulder and an audible gasp on his ears he looked back to find the wolf woman staring at his phone as if it was an artifact of ancient Times, he clicked his finger to wake her and she just stared at him like a lost kid. she caught up to her senses and gestured for him to follow her into the Woods and he guessed the town 'oh well seems like my wish has been granted in some way' he thought as he followed the strange wolf woman.

Author here, just wanted to say that if the synopsis did not sound as exciting as I had hoped it would be, try reading the first 10 chapters? I promise it won't be terrible! :) Whoops, forgot to mention, prologues don't count as chapters! If you've read this far, I might as well tell you what I was inspired by! However, this does NOT mean my story will be similiar in any way to the novels/stories/books listed below. By 'inspiration,' I refer to mainly how the characterizations plot devices, dialogue, conflict introduction/resolution, and thought processes are used and introduced in those works of literature. But in a way, you can interpret this list as, "if the author read and was inspired by these novels, then it's possible that we share similiar tastes, so I'll give this story a try." :) -Those Who Aspired to Become Gods: A darker fairy tale novel (My all-time fantasy favorite despite it being unfinished) -Forgotten Conqueror (Second all-time fantasy favorite) -Brandon Sanderson's The Reckoning trilogy (Third all-time fantasy favorite) -Kel Kade's 'King's Dark Tidings' -Brent Week's Night Angel saga -Red Rising trilogy -Infinite Realm: Monsters & Legends -Reborn: Apocalypse -Reborn: Evolving From Nothing -48 Hours a Day -The New World -Creep -Arrogant Young Master Template A Variation 4 -Can't Cure Deceit -Super Minion -Unparalleled -Unbound -Wake of the Ravager -Overgeared -Solo Leveling -The Tutorial Is Too Hard [email protected] -God of Money -A Snake's Life -The Snake Report -The Tower of God -UnOrdinary -Release that Witch!
8 190Apostasy - The Lost History of Goge Vandire (A Warhammer 40,000 fan fiction)
DISCLAIMER: The characters in this story are inspired by the background of the Warhammer 40,000 intellectual property that belongs to Games Workshop Ltd. This is fan fiction, and no challenge to their ownership rights is intended. Goge Vandire is a name written in to the annals of Imperial history in blood. Often literally. No single mortal has commanded authority on the scale at which he exercised it at his height. His name is as synonymous with unspeakable evil as that of the Warmaster, Horus himself. And yet he was just a man. Where did such a man come from? What drove him to the steps he took to secure power to himself and, once he had it, how did he come to misuse it so grievously? I have scoured the records - many of them once thought lost or placed under the unbreakable seal of the Inquisition - to uncover his forgotten story, piecing together his childhood, his apprenticeship, his rise to power and his descent into madness and death. It is not the story you might expect...
