《W.A.R.F.R.A.M.E.》Chapter Thirty Two: President?! Captain?!

Frank took a deep breath, “Let’s get this party started.” The two bits on his shoulder detached, and he sent them away to different points in the forest. Frank kept low but he kept a steady pace as he ran. Once he reached a location where he could get a clear shot of Vincent he stopped. He zoomed in with the scope of his sniper rifle and commanded the beam bit to fire. The beam that was fired hit Vincent’s mega launcher. It was a direct hit.
When Vincent noticed what had happened, he immediately tossed his weapon aside as it blew up. Seeing his primary weapon exploding, Vincent complained, “Come on, man. Seriously?” Vincent took out his two beam hawk axes and leaped off the cliff and into the valley below to locate the origin of the beam. He hoped that Frank would still be in the area.
Justin saw what had happened to Vincent, but he did not immediately fly down to help. He tried to stop Vincent from entering the valley, “Vincent, wait. Don’t go…” Justin’s warning fell on deaf ears as Vincent went into the forest in the valley below. Justin shook his head, disappointed in the action Vincent had just taken, “You idiot. As expected of an amateur. You’re oblivious to the bigger picture. He doesn’t even notice that he’s walking right into a trap. Looks like I’ll have to bail him out again.”
Just as Justin was about to take action, he thought of something, “Frank, why does that name sound familiar? Where have I heard of that name before?” Justin aimed his torpedoes at the valley and looked at his radar to locate Frank and Vincent. When he looked at the radar, he found it quite puzzling. He detected four units in the valley instead of two, “What the heck is going on, here?” Just as Justin was contemplating what to do, several missiles were fired from the forest and he was the target.
Justin was alerted to the incoming missiles and turned around. He fired his tri-shooter and the beams on his manta ray. He quickly destroyed most of the missiles, while he avoided the rest with his masterful aerial acrobatics. While Justin was shooting down missiles, Vincent was having his own problems. The bit moved between the trees and fired every time it found an opening. Vincent was hit a few times as he tried to dodge the attack. “Taking out my primary, very clever.”
Vincent gave a snarky remark as he had to cut down the trees one by one to remove the obstacle blocking his path. And when he did so, he would be attacked by a beam. Vincent became frustrated. He was frustrated that he had not found any sign of Frank as the guy must have been darting around the forest, avoiding detection. Vincent could tell that his opponent was on the move since the point of origin for the beams fired kept moving around him. It showed how fast Frank was. But unbeknownst to Vincent, Frank had yet to fire his rifle. Vincent had only been harassed by Frank’s bit.

Seeing Vincent’s actions, Frank shook his head, “This guy is too reckless. He just barged in without a plan. I guess I have to teach him a thing or two.” While Vincent was busy being harassed by the bit, Frank went to the waterfall. He had played on the battlefield before and he knew of a few hidden spots that were good for sniping. The water that fell off the cliff and ran through the valley, had a cave behind the waterfall. The cave was several feet off the ground.
Frank placed his rifle on his back and moved behind the waterfall before he started to climb. He chose the Savage-type as his frame, particularly for their apposable hands and feet. He could climb almost any surface and get a vantage point. Frank moved behind the waterfall where no one could spot him and entered the cave. Once he was inside, he grabbed his rifle and took aim. He had commanded the bit to lead Vincent’s frame to a clearing near the river. Frank had a clear shot and pulled the trigger.
While Vincent was distracted by the attacks coming from the forest before him, he was alerted to an incoming attack. He was unable to dodge in time and his Gatling gun was hit. The resulting explosion sent him into the river. However, just as he tried to get up, he was shot again. Except this time, both of his legs were destroyed, leaving nothing but a few sparks and a pair of stumps where his legs used to be. When Vincent was hit by the attack, he was stupefied, “Where did that come from? I thought he was right in front of me? So, where did that come from?”
He tried to get up after being shot at but just as he was about to, his alarms blared as two more shots were fired and he fell back into the river. When he tried getting back up again, Vincent found that it was not possible. Both of his legs were missing. Vincent turned around to search for his attacker, but he found no one there. All there was, was more forest, and further up he saw the cliff and a waterfall. Vincent scanned around and found nothing then he murmured, “Could it be possible?”
He zoomed in towards the waterfall. It was the only place where someone could get a shot in. When he zoomed in, he clarified the image to get a clearer picture. All he could see behind the waterfall was darkness. Then he spotted it, a red light. “Found you. I hate to call him for help but, I don’t really have much of a choice at this point, do I?” Vincent contacted Justin, “Hey, fish face, I found him. He’s hiding behind the waterfall.” Justin commented after receiving the message, “At least you’re not entirely useless, amateur.” Vincent angrily responded, “I heard that, fish for brains”

Vincent was not the only one to notice the cave behind the waterfall, Justin had noticed it too, but he had to deal with the missiles that targeted him. Just when he destroys a few missiles, more would be launched, and every once in a while beams would be shot out from the bit. Vincent was having a hard time counterattacking when his attention was preoccupied with dodging the attack. Observing Justin, Frank commented, “This one has more skill compared to the other one. That being said, he is overly cautious. He won’t take any actual action unless he has a certain rate of victory.”
After destroying a few more missiles, Justin saw an opening and fired everything he had at the cave. Frank already anticipated this. He knew his hiding spot would eventually be found out. He kept an eye on Justin and the moment that Justin let everything loose, he immediately leaped out of the cave and back into the forest. As he dashed through the trees, Frank kept observing Justin. When he saw an opportunity, he took it. He fired his rifle when Justin was once again distracted by missiles.
Justin was hit in the leg and it exploded. Justin may have been hit, but the attack allowed him to pinpoint his attacker’s location, “I’ve got you. You’re going down.” Justin launched his manta ray at Frank. Seeing the approaching fish, Frank sneered. He took out the combat knife on his thigh and threw it at the fish-themed jet pack. The knife hit directly between the two cannons. Sparks flew as it swerved and crashed. “Not good enough.” Justin was surprised to see his manta ray taken down so easily.
Frank was grinning inside his cockpit, “My turn, Ultimate Attack!” The mechanical voice then spoke, “Critical Assault: Meteor Bomber!” Frank was inside the forest and he widened his stance when the cannon on his back, fired three consecutive shots, high into the sky. The cannon fire flew above the descending Mantaraia. The first shot exploded and rained down several smaller bombs. Justin was able to avoid the falling bombs when he landed on the ground. But the devastation they wrought surprised him. But he was glad that it was over, now all he had to do was locate Frank and destroy his frame but then recalled the attack as not over, “Wait, didn’t he fire three shots.”
Justin looked upwards and another explosion occurred in the sky, except this one was bigger. There were more bombs falling this time. And Unlike the first volley, he was unable to dodge the second one completely, “Aw, crud.”
When the second rain of bombs fell, Justin was unable to dodge all of them and he was hit by a few of them. In addition to his already destroyed leg, his right leg also suffered some damage while he lost his left arm. That was when he heard the third explosion in the sky. It was bigger and louder than the previous two, and the rain of explosives held a greater yield. When this one rained down, Justin no longer had the ability to dodge it. He was hit by one of the raining bombs and his frame exploded.
However, Vincent had it worse. Both of the previous bombs fell near him, and he took quite a bit of damage. But the final one really took the cake. It was like several meteors fell from the sky. He was hit by not one, not two, but three of them. The attack had reduced his frame to pieces. Vincent slammed his hand against the panel, “How did this happen? I was just target practice to this guy.”
Vincent slammed his palm against the panel again. After the mechanical voice announced that the battle had ended, Frank exited his pod. He saw the pod Vincent was in and rushed in to grab Vincent’s hand fore he could slam it again, “Hey, watch the merchandise. They’re not exactly cheap you know.”
Justin exited his cockpit and checked on the situation, “Cool off, amateur. A loss is a loss. There is no changing it.” Vincent exits the cockpit, sat on the sofa, and pouted. “Yeah, but it doesn’t mean I have to like it. And, you do realize we lost the bet, right? That means this guy can order us around now.” Frank chuckled, and Vincent scowled, “What’s so funny?” Frank then explained, “Even if you won, though I doubt that would've happened. I’d still be able to order you two around.”
Just as Frank was about to explain further, Anna walks into the club room. When she saw him, she immediately ran over and gave him a big hug. “Frank, you’re back. Now, our goal won’t just be a pipe dream.” Then Anna noticed Vincent and Justin, “Oh, sorry guys. I didn’t notice you there. Let me introduce you. This is Frank Evans, president of the WARFRAME Battle Club and captain of Silver Vanguard.” Frank then waved at Vincent and Justin, “Hey.” Vincent and Justin were both flabbergasted at this new piece of information, “President!?” “Captain!?” “Seriously?!” Then, Frank and Anna both looked at each other, then at Justin and Vincent and they nodded to the two new members “Seriously.”

It's very experimental so readers; do note. There are major changes in writing style within the series as I keep testing things out. Of course, that does not mean that the story actually deviates from its intended progress. It just means that your reading experience may fluctuate quite often... Anyways, I hope you enjoy this story. :D p.s. not sure if there will be any sex scene in this novel but the boy starts off as 7... so... long time till we get there. May have lollies though! Diary Number 999, year I-don't-care, location home. Parenting. Of all I've found clear answers except for this most mundane topic. And not for the lack of trying. My library, so humongous my good friends told me one after the other there is no book it doesn't contain helped little. There are crumbling tomes of ancient magic, vocabularies depicting the evolution of the magical language itself, grimoires and holy bibles of cults long past, rows and rows filled with scrolls bearing the efforts of my magical research, contracts, diaries, letters and more. But parenting? There was none. Yet a struggle nearly every member of the Races is not foreign to. I...must have lived under a rock. Across aeons no less. What a humbling revelation.
