《W.A.R.F.R.A.M.E.》Chapter Eleven: Silver Vanguard

During free period, Vincent, Anna, and Justin barged into the TTCCC to demand Justin be allowed to be transferred to the WARFRAME club. Vincent exclaims, “Pardon the interruption!” Danny was sitting at his desk going through some paperwork. His attention turned to the door when the members of the Warframe Club barged in uninvited. “And how may I be of service to you?” He was uninterested in another quarrel with the club.
Vincent cracked his knuckles as a show of intimidation. “You should know why we’re here.” To which Danny responds with a lack of interest, “I haven’t the slightest idea. After our tussle the other day, the student council made their decision regarding the matter of the TTCCC absorbing your club. I see no point in further antagonizing your club, because of it.” Anna on the other hand slammed her hand against Danny’s desk, “Danny, please allow Justin, to transfer to the Warframe Club effective immediately. We’d like him to be a part of our team for the WARFRAME Championships.”
Vincent kept cracking his knuckles, “If you don’t agree then I’m afraid I’m going to have to use force to…” Danny interrupts Vincent’s threat and gave his answer, “Sure, no problem. I don’t mind, really.”
Anna was surprised that he answered so quickly, “You’re giving him to us just like that? You’re not going to put up a fight about it?” Danny answers with a big smile on his face, “The committee respects the choices of its members. If Justin over there wants to transfer to the Warframe Club, then he is free to do so. I have no say in the matter. After all, he was just a temporary member, not an official one. So he can transfer to your club without a hitch. Isn’t that right, V?”
“Umm, it’s just like you said, Danny.” A girl was standing next to Danny the entire time, nodded in agreement. But because Anna, Vincent, and Justin were so focused on the matter at hand, they did not even notice her presence. Finally noticing her presence, Anna, Vincent, and Justin turned their attention to the speaker.

Vincent was perplexed, “Who’s this?” Anna was also puzzled, “I never knew the TTCCC had such a pretty girl as a member.” Justin looked closer and he was startled by the revelation, “No way! Y-You’re Veronica!?” Vincent and Justin finally pieced together her appearance. Veronica had straightened the curls of her hair and stopped wearing her large thick-framed glasses, instead, she wore contact lenses.
In doing so, her appearance made a complete 180° turn. Veronica tosses her hair, “Correct!” Anna, Justin, and Vincent were all slack-jawed by her new appearance. Danny was delighted to see their shocked expressions, “Well anyway, Justin, You’re free to go to the Warframe Club or any other club for that matter. You are free to go anywhere you please. You were just a temporary member, not a permanent one. Your presence has no effect on the well-being of the committee in any way. So please don’t worry about it. Isn’t that right, V?”
Veronica hugs Danny and speaks sweetly and romantically to him while she fiddles her index finger on his chest, “Whatever you say, Mister President.” Danny blushes at her flirting. Justin, Anna, and Vincent felt awkward being in the presence of such a lovey-dovey romantic atmosphere. So much so, that it felt uncomfortable. They could not help themselves but to get out of there as quickly as possible. “Thank you for your time. We'll be excusing ourselves!”
Outside of the TTCCC club room, the trio could still hear the voices of Danny and Veronica. Their mouths were still wide open. The scene they had just scene had rocked them to the core. They could still hear the conversation between Danny and Veronica, “V, what kind of deck should we assemble next?” Danny asked in a sweet tone. “How about an angel deck, Mis…ter Pre...si…dent?” Veronica answered in an attractive and alluring voice. Danny was enthralled by his vice president, “That’s such a great idea, V.” Justin tries to put the image of Danny and Veronica at the back of his head. “If I were to put this in a strategic sense, I’d say, this situation works for me.”

Having settled matters with the TTCCC, the trio went to the teacher’s office to register Justin as their official member. “So, you finally have enough members to enter to form a team. Alright, I’ll help register you in the WARFRAME Battle Championship.” The teacher that was responsible for club registration nods. He smiles at Anna, “Good for you Anna. As long as Frank recovers quickly, you guys should be able to go far in the competition.” Anna smiles full of delight, “Yes, thank you very much.”
Anna had achieved the first part of what she had set out to do. The teacher then turns to Mister Myers, “Brandon, as the faculty advisor to the Warframe Club, please take care of these kids. Hopefully, you’ll be able to coach them in the game.” Mister Myers responds with complete confidence in himself. “Don’t worry. I’ve played my share of games over the years. So, I’m pretty sure I can teach them a thing or two. It’ll be my mission as their coach as well as faculty advisor.” Mister Myers’ eyes were glistening and brimming with confidence and excitement.
Vincent, Anna, Justin, and Mister Myers were walking across the school courtyard, when Vincent made a suggestion, “Anna, how about we head to the club room for some practice.” Anna agreed, “Alright, let’s!” Justin walked behind the group. His head was in the clouds as he thought about what happened to him in the past. Justin stopped and called out to his new friends and he apologizes, “Hey, guys, wait!” The group halted their movement and turned to Justin, and Vincent asks, “What’s up?”
To which Justin said, “I would just like to say, I’m sorry. For everything. I’m sorry yelled at you when you used my frame, Vincent. The reason I reacted like that, it just, it brought out a lot of bad memories. A few years ago, I grew apart from battling. I spent most of my time assembling my perfect frame. When I saw you use it. I just.” Anna interrupted, “Justin, it’s okay. If it’s too painful for you to say, then don’t. You can tell us when you’re ready.” Justin sighs and smiles, "Thank you for understanding, Anna."
“With the two of you a part of the club, we finally have enough members. I’m glad that the both of you decided to join my club. Now, we can finally form a team and participate in the championship.” Anna stretches her arms and back, “With this, one of my objectives is complete. And I feel satisfied with that.”
Vincent and Justin could not help but smile back at Anna. There was something about her that made them feel comfortable around her. “We’re happy that you’re happy Anna.” Vincent then thought of something, “Hey, since we’re going to be in a team competition, shouldn’t we have a team name?” Justin also came to the realization after Vincent pointed it out. “He's right, we need a team name. A cool one.” Anna then suddenly realized, “Oh right, I never told either of you. Actually, the team already has a name. It’s the same one we’ve been using since the founding of the club a few years ago.” Vincent then asks in anticipation, “What’s the name of the team?” Anna shrugs, “Silver Vanguard!” Vincent was astounded by the name. He was excited but he kept his cool. “Alright, that’s a pretty cool name.” Justin, on the other hand, found the name quite familiar. 'Why does that name sound so familiar?"

or, Deux Navires Passant dans la Nuit If you wake up in a new world, with only your memories of home to guide you, you have to trust the first people you meet. The first people Leah meets seem to know her - but not her. Leah is thrust into a fighter's role that does not quite suit her, and those who 'rescued' her do their best to help her fit in. They hint at a world that Leah can only vaguely understand without serious research and exploration, but how to do that research, when everyone believes her to be a local of this place, and too many questions might draw unwanted attention? And what about home? The more Leah learns about this world, the less she believes that she woke up on the right side of the bed - or more accurately, on the right side of the conflict. With magic being strictly regulated in her current "home," maybe it's time to uproot and look for a new set of allies... -- Displacement is a queer / lgbt bodyswap isekai: Leah Armande falls out of a Quebecois city into an unfamiliar fantasy world, and Leah Talesh falls out of her adventuring party's homeland and into an unfamiliar industrial world. The story follows both women as they navigate their new surroundings, trying at times to find a way home, at times just to pass for a local, and at times to actually make a life for themselves in their new world. Expect in-depth politics and worldbuilding, sapphic moments, foibles, and far too much time spent either in libraries or convalescing (or sometimes both).
