《The Rise Of An Evil Monarch》Chapter 13 - The Great Family

"There is something that you should know..!," I said in a terror-filled tone. I had never been so tense this much, even if we combined both of my lives. The whole route, I was thinking about what I could have done more and why there was so much commotion from humans this early in the story.
Of course, I could not come to a solid conclusion. Saumera was already a mysterious character who was portrayed as a cunning character from the start without much background.
"Tell us, how did you ruin your task? You had one job Uric...one job: to enjoy and admire our beautiful skills on the battlefield." Celeric said with his eyes closed, flaunting his hair with his right hand, trying to strike a pose.
A fist came flying in Celeric direction. It was so fast that even the likes of Celeric couldn't evade it. The fist directly hit Celeric on his upper head. He ducked a little in response to it..well the one who threw the punch was non-other than my father.
"You damn narcissist, shut your mouth up." father said jokingly, "Come on, Umok, I was just playing a little." Celeric whined as he began rubbing his head.
They seemed to be very close, and it looks like he was happy to be around Celeric. They were soo happy after their reunion that I felt terrible that I was going to ruin their whole mood.
Father approached me slowly and put his hand on my shoulder, "Before you tell us anything, remember that this was your first experience of a battlefield, and it won't be the last...nor every battle is as easy as this one, so imprint this image of the battlefield in your vision and never forget that you would be putting your lives on the line on a battlefield be it a big one or a small one, so always stay focused."
"Uuk and Celeric would be tending to whatever observation you have made." He walked away to the area where the shamans had captured all the orcs.
I gathered my strength and looked up to Celeric and Uncle with a determined face, "A key orc of their tribe has escaped with some of the humans with supplies supplied by the humans." Uncle Uuk was taken aback by this statement, "wait what.! So where did he and the humans go ?" Celeric had a straight face throughout my description of what events occurred.
"That orc and humans used some kind of weird technique to flee from here." Then, as I looked down in embarrassment, I said, " Well, they left from here in quite a hurry, so they left some kinds of blueprint and a lot of paper with some imprints on them. It could help us determine their next move."
"Also, there are many weapons and battle formations in there too. But it will be helpful only if we could understand it." I said. Suddenly both of them were excited.
"Don't worry about the translation. We have captured many humans soldier from this battle, And it seems they hold their lives very close to them. So we would be good to go with a little bit of exploiting." Uncle Uuk said with a face full of confidence.
"and there is one last thing that I want to mention. There are kids trapped in a magic circle enclosed by the humans. Is there any possible way for us to remove the bind on them?" I said with my fingers crossed behind my back, hoping for a positive response.

Uncle's face changed, and it went from a cheerful to a one of confusion. He looked at Celeric's face in anticipation of an answer.
"Damn..you are putting me in quite a tough spot. As you already know, the effects of using a bow made by wind almost killed me, I could not say anything for sure, but we can give it a go."
A sight of relief spanned across my face even just by knowing there was a slight possibility of saving them, I clenched my hands tightly and looked up to Uncle, "So are we going there." I asked with a face full of anticipation.
"No, first we need to gather some magic crystals from their base, and we need to prepare a circle which could increase our chances of success," Celeric said with a bright face.
XXX
It had been a few hours since I had arrived at the battlefield. Everything which was needed to be prepared was packed in several bags. Soon Me, Uncle and Celeric were to depart to the underground bunker.
We left the battlefield with father and proceeded to the forest. We began marching towards the forest. Now we had not reached the deep parts of the forest where the intensity of trees was abundant. I was leading the path from the front. Uncle and Celeric were walking right behind me.
There was a lot of mud and tree branches during our whole pathway for a moment. But then, I felt a little proud of how I didn't make a sound while trailing the orcs.
I had a lot of questions in my mind before and I thought now would be the appropriate time to ask celeric and Uncle Uuk those questions.
"Uncle...There are some things that I want to know." I asked hesitantly and tried to maintain a stoic face.
"Yeah, sure, go ahead and ask them." He replied immediately. Suddenly Celeric gained interest in our conversation. "What was the technique that you guys used during the battle? It didn't look like it was some kind of normal technique.....And All three of you used it beautifully and almost in synchronization." So I asked him, I came off a bit overbearing, but I think it was to be expected.
"Uhh.....We had to tell you about this sooner or later anyways, so listen" the whole atmosphere had changed while we were ambling to our destination. Uncle Uuk took a few minutes to gather his strength to answer my question.
"Uric, We were once part of the seven great families." He paused and looked at me for a reaction. Of course, I knew that much as I saw the whole goddamn technique these guys used, but I still acted like I was shocked to hear this information and made a surprised face.
"Wait, really? So why are we living in the forest with little to no supplies" I asked him in order to get to the main point of the conversation.
"hmm...Let's just say that there was some kind of conflict between our family, leading to us getting kicked out." He paused.
"Celeric is also from the same family as us." He said. He looked a bit embarrassed while he was telling me this.
"may I ask what you guys did to get expelled ?" I asked
"Soon, Umok would tell this little story to you anyways. There is no point knowing it now. It would only make your blood boil."
"So Celeric, what are you doing here if you guys are not on friendly terms," I asked Celeric. He became a little flustered and lost focus for some seconds.

"It was the higher-ups that expelled them. It had nothing to do with me, The higher-ups are a bunch of stupid old folks who are soon going to hit the bucket, but they still carve for attention. The system should also change as time changes, but they are too dumb to understand. At a time, your father was one of the most talented warriors that our family had produced. But those fuckers ruined it all for him", Celeric started ranting with a face full of anger.
"If you are that disappointed, why didn't you join my father after he was expelled," I asked with a serious look in my eyes.
"The simple reason is, I simply can't. You know how I previously made a bow out of mana. That feat has not been achieved by any orcs other than me. So for them, I am a precious existence that cannot be left to others. If I had left with Uuk, They were doomed to get hunted, so I just stayed in the Main castle for almost all my life." He said in a convincing manner without even a shed of doubt.
"What made them release you now, though?", As soon as I asked him this, he began laughing to his heart's content.
"HAHAHAHAHA... Those old hags realized that no matter how talented one is and how much elixirs they are fed, One cannot simply become a red orc without experience of the real world." He said. Even a little defeat of those old orcs amused Celeric this much. Damn, he is living like I was in my past life.
"You will also get to see those Old fucks really soon," he said dramatically. I slammed my head into a bunch of vines after hearing this.
"Wait, what? Why would we be visiting them? They literally expelled us to never see our faces again?" I asked with a face full of confusion.
"Those old fucks don't give a damn about you, But they do give importance to a festival. It would be an important festival that all the Orcs who are of the Main family have to attend. Well, That was also one of the reasons they allowed me to wander around this part of the forest." He said.
"What if we reject their request ?" I asked, He smirked and let out a little chuckle as I asked him this question.
"What do you think they are, A fucking circus? NO... They are one of the great families. There is no way they would go like 'ohk, I understand your point, have a nice day' They would annihilate your tribe in seconds. You haven't seen what a great family looks like. Once you visit us, you will understand what I am trying to say." He said in an angry tone.
After this little conversation, no one spoke a single word during our whole travel. Well, we traveled a few kilometers after the conversation ended. Finally, we reached the place, and I immediately looked for the little orcs. After a few turns here and there, I found their location. They were still in the same position with a melancholic face filled with despair. They had already given up on the hope of breaking free.
Why did that human bond them with a magic spell? Can't he just kill them? I had concluded that the little orcs had some significance to them, and sooner or later, the orcs might come to find the little ones.
I expressed my thoughts to Celeric and Uncle. They said they had already thought about this and had somewhat created a plan.
We all stepped slowly and began moving in their direction. It looked like they saw us. A single simile emerged on the little orc's faces. To think of it, during the whole time I was speaking to them, I didn't ask them their names, but oh well, I don't think they will mind it that much.
We began walking close to the area occupied by the spell. As soon as we reached there, the smallest orc shouted, "I knew you would come back. You were not someone who looked bad." he exclaimed with a smile on his face. "Wait, you guys didn't come here for us, right?" The older orc spoke, "You guys are here for the blueprints, right?" he didn't dare to believe they were being rescued.
"No, We are here to rescue you guys, This is my uncle, and this guy here is Celeric. He knows how to use magic somewhat. I hope we can help you with this, but you should rest assured as there is no way you guys will die now." I instilled some confidence in him and, at the same time, tried to calm him down.
"Listen here, you little guys, I am going to make a rune around the circle of magic to disperse the magic.
Celeric started drawing some sort of transcription written in human language on the circle that was surrounding the little orcs. His skills were astounding; Celeric drew the magic spell as if he already knew what to write. The geniuses are in a league of their own; I can only look up to them and envy them. Even in the world I lived before this one, all the geniuses would breeze over difficulties that would have taken me hours to solve.
I did not want to disturb him while he was making the rune, so I went ahead and opened the door to the underground bunker.
I had left earlier without batting an eye on the content of the documents. I took my sweet time and explored the whole bunker.
The blue glowstone present there was still shining brightly, and the portal with which the orc traveled was almost crumbled into pieces.
Hmm… It means if we destroy the portal from the other side, it will take damage here as well. So there could be a possibility of traveling through the same portal as often as we want.
Chills ran down my spine as I imagined what catastrophe the portal would cause if it got transported inside the guzan kingdom.
Maybe that's how they won over the orcs in the main novel. I brushed off all the thoughts in my head and promised myself to bring it up during a meeting.s
I ran through all the papers present there and found nothing new or noteworthy, but in case, I gathered all of it, folded it, and put them inside a sheath. Don't blame me it was the only thing available at the moment.
After exploring the bunker, I went outside only to notice that the spell casting was about to begin. My father had reached here everyone was standing around Celeric in a circle. I stood right beside my father and peeked an eye to see what Celeric was about to do.
