《New World - New Beginning》Chapter 20: Fight against the boss

I barely open the room, and I'm greeted with the mocking laughter of this final boss. What an anticlimactic way to start the battle.
I open the door and observe the area where I will have to fight. The room is the same as the hobgoblins, but in its center, there is a vast circle and, if you look closely, you will find some strange inscriptions placed.
Perhaps it is a kind of magic circle that weakens or encloses the subject "R" because it seems that they can not contain it by normal means.
While I was thinking about that, the subject "R" spoke again.
Hey, where are the guys who think they're smart just because they wear robes?
I focus my eyes on the subject "R," and I am surprised by his appearance; even though he is locked up here with 12 heavy shackles on his body, malnourished and with his skin dry because of the cryogenics, he is still so calm as if he doesn't care at all, if I had to face him in normal conditions, I couldn't win at all.
Hey, I'm asking you, where are those shitty white guys. If you mean the ones that used to work here, no idea. So they're gone. Too bad I can't make fun of them anymore. Who the fuck are you anyway? I'm Batman! What? What? Are you making fun of me? Who me? Not like you think. I know what sarcasm is, scumbag. Wow, what a temper, you can't even take a joke. Here, the only one who can make fun of others is me. Well, I don't give a shit. So brave! Then why don't you come in and fight me? That's what I'm going to do, asshole.
After that little exchange, I easily step through the circle on the ground and draw my sword, preparing to fight this ill-mannered guy.
What the hell! You didn't even hesitate to go in. I don't know if you're either very brave or very dumb. Why would I hesitate to come in? Don't you know what I am? From what I could find out, you are the evolution of a hobgoblin. In a video, I found out that your codename is subject "R," although I don't know why that's all I know. Subject "R"? What a crappy codename. Did they give me the subject "R" because I'm a rare and unique hobgoblin? What horrible taste in naming these fools have.
Now that subject "R" knows the codename they gave him. He starts complaining. It's unbelievable that this codename is, to say, weird. I know he's a rare goblin, but at least give him a better name.
In any case, I go back to the subject "R."
Hey, subject "R," are we going to fight or what. What did you call me, human trash? You sound like you're excited to die. I want to kill you and get out of this damn place fast. HAHAHAHA so you want to kill me, huh? Well, I hope you're serious. The people on this site always said that about wanting to exterminate the goblins forever; what a couple of idiots. I agree. What they were trying to do was just stupid. Oh? Do you know the consequences of exterminating a race of monsters? No, I know that you shouldn't interfere with nature, and you can only do it when necessary. HAHAHAHA, you're pretty smart for a human. I hope you're also strong enough to entertain me for a while. Now shut up and fight avocado face.
Without further ado, I run towards him. Since he's an intelligent goblin, I can't use the same strategies with other monsters. I have to treat him as if I was facing someone else and try to ambush him at the right moment.

Once I'm close enough, I start unleashing basic attacks from left to the right without wanting to give this final boss time to react. Still, he manages to block my attacks using the shackles on his arms.
Every clash of my sword with his shackles releases sparks all around, but he keeps defending himself with his bonds no matter when I attack.
HAHAHAHA You have good speed, human. Let's see if you can hold this!
As soon as he finishes saying that, he uses his shackles to deflect my sword upwards, raises his arms, and tries to hit my head with those heavy things.
Faced with his move, I placed my sword upright and in a defense position to block the attack, but the hardness of his shackles increased with gravity and the strength of his arms, causing my sword to break into pieces.
[-80 HP]
Even though I blocked the attack, the blow was so fierce that it took 120 HP points. Then I see how he throws a knee strike straight to my chest.
I have no room to dodge the blow or make a counterattack, so with no other option, I place my arms in an "X" shape to withstand the attack.
His knee strike hits me and throws me backward. After flying for four or six meters, I finally managed to stop myself.
[-400 HP]
The impact was so significant that I took away 400 HP; if I hadn't protected myself in time, that hit would knock me out.
At full speed, I take out the potions with an anesthetic to recover, and as soon as I feel the effect of immunity to pain, I get up and take out the last steel sword I have left; meanwhile, the final boss watches me from a distance.
Did you make it? What a shitty luck you have to withstand my blow. You're right about that, *agh* fuck, that hit hurt. HAHA! If I were in my best shape, that single knee would have destroyed your arms and ripped a hole in your stomach.
*Cough* That's true. If this guy was in his best condition and I hadn't gotten a stat boost, he would have died in the first exchange of blows.
I hope you're not thinking of running away like those cowards in white. Even if I wanted to, I can't; the only way out of this place is to kill you. Perfect, then let's see who lives and who dies. That's the idea, subject "R." Again, you better call me king goblin human creep with that weird name. Then you call me daddy, my left egg face.
After our little verbal argument, we get back to the fight, my HP has recovered about 450 points, but now I will no longer block his attacks with my sword.
My strategy will focus on dodging and deflecting his attacks with my sword. I can't risk blocking a hit and losing my last sword in the process.
I charge again and attack with my sword while the final boss continues to use his shackles to deflect and defend himself. As the exchange of blows continues, I wait for a repeat of the previous situation.
The exchange lasts a couple of minutes until the previous situation arises again. At the moment when he deflects my sword up and raises his arms again to try to hit my head, he takes the opportunity to counterattack.
I turn my wrist to the right and perform a Focused Slash at full power while trying to aim at his head, a laido flies out at high speed, but because I'm in the wrong position, it misses his head, and instead, I cut his arms up to his elbows.

The counterattack was successful, but the scream of pain I expected from the final boss didn't appear, and instead, a devilish-looking grin emerged from him.
As soon as I react to the situation, the final boss hits me with the soles of his feet on my right shoulder, and the force of the impact throws me away from him again.
[-400 HP]
[You're under the effect of Dislocation]
[Dislocation]
[You can't move the affected area for 120 seconds]
Damn, while I managed to cut off this guy's arms, I had to pay a high price; the HP I can recover with the potions, but for someone who is right-handed and now can't use his dominant arm is the same as being out of combat.
I quickly take out a potion to recover HP and grab my sword with my left hand. Now I try to think about what I can do.
My right arm is useless for two minutes, and I'm facing a final boss that can also give big kicks; the only thing I can think of is to keep my distance and gain time. I could also leave the circle and wait for me to recover. Still, I never like to run away from a 1vs1 battle unless a third party appears to get into the fight.
While I'm trying to think of a way to buy time until the dislocation effect wears off, the final boss speaks again.
HAHAHA, WONDERFUL! FANTASTIC! At last, a fight that you can enjoy hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
Hearing the laughter of the final boss, an idea pops up in my mind: to make him talk until the dislocation effect wears off. Or at least buy some time.
Hey, subject "R." Insolent human, I told you to call me King Goblin. Since, King Goblin, I want to know why you're still standing? You bastard! Does it even matter? I'm just curious how you're still standing even after losing so much blood. I'm the Goblin King, and I'm way above those goblin scum, so enough talk, let's fight.
The conversation barely lasted 20 seconds, and the Goblin King ran toward me. As the original plan failed, I had to dodge his attacks as best as possible.
The Goblin King's attacks are faster and stronger than those he made with his arms; besides, I was the one attacking during the fight, and he was only defending himself. Now the roles are reversed.
I try to use my sword to deflect the force of his kicks, but it is complicated to do it with my left arm, so I have no choice but to dodge.
The Goblin King continues with his kicking assault while I do my best to try to dodge his kicks.
[-30 HP]
[-40 HP]
[-25 HP]
[-50 HP]
[-50 HP]
[-30 HP]
This isn't nice. While I don't get a direct attack from his kicks, the thickness of his shackles manages to hit me in several parts of my body, which makes one out of five kicks stone HP because of the bonds rubbing against me.
I have to think of something, but now.
I use my brain to the max, trying to find a way to win this fight.
Come on, brain, use those neurons!
Just as I dodge a kick aimed at my chest, I remember something, and it's the adrenaline shots I still have left to use.
When I dodge an attack again, I bring the hilt of my sword close to my mouth and hold it tightly. This surprises the goblin king and makes him stop for a second.
I take advantage of that minimal lapse of time. I take the two adrenaline injections and stick them in my right arm.
[Adrenaline injection 3/3]
[For 5 minutes, your attack speed is increased by 20%, and your stamina is restored to 100%.]
After injecting myself, I put my sword back on my left arm, ready for combat.
I don't know what that was, but it's useless. I'll still break you into human pieces.
The Goblin King relaunches his kicking assault, but this time, in addition to dodging his attacks, I start using my sword to deflect the attacks.
I wasn't looking for the injections to improve my reflexes as a side effect; instead, I want the 20% attack speed increase to make my left arm fast enough to perform a primary deflection, although I still get the indirect attacks from his leg shackles, compared to before, they are now one out of every nine kicks.
After many dodges and deflections that I thought would take forever, I could finally use my right arm again, so I moved my sword and took another potion as fast as I could.
I still have three minutes left of the adrenaline effect, so I have to finish this.
So you can go back to your right arm? I hope you won't be dodging and running now. Don't worry, I won't.
After saying that, I run straight at the goblin king, and another exchange of blows begins, sparks fly as my sword and his shackles clash continuously.
Now no one has the advantage, so we continue to deflect and attack repeatedly and again without stopping. I didn't even use Focused Slash again, as I didn't want to waste such a powerful attack, and I only had one chance to deliver a critical hit.
The exchange of blows continues, and the adrenaline effect is almost over. If I don't do something fast, I will return to the way I was initially.
I started to think of a way to finish this fight, and I concluded that I should set a trap.
So I continue attacking, waiting for the right moment to drop a "mistake" and let the goblin king attack him.
After 10 seconds, I find the right moment and do not entirely deflect a downward ax kick that he throws at me from the left side. But instead, I hold it and step forward, making it as if I cannot take it while the blade of my sword is leaning on my left side and charging MP without me knowing it.
The goblin king takes advantage of that "opening" and tries to kick me with full force on the right side of my head while smiling as if he had already won.
But it's too late. My sword unleashes a full power Focused Slash that cuts the goblin king in half.
The attack was so fast that the goblin king didn't have time to react and died while continuing to show that devilish smile.
A notification appears afterward confirming the goblin king's death.
[You have defeated the goblin king.]
[The exit door is open]
At the back of the room where I faced the goblin king appeared a portal to exit the dungeon.
But I still can't get out; there's still one more thing to do.
