《Life's Allegory》Part III - Prologue

Kirito a Mayan youth.
Historically till the present age we have laboured in engineering, warcraft and art. Our people lack nothing and we are a people that have always strived to do more. Never satisfied with our accomplishments.
There is no hunger or want in our communities and we have accepted our baser instincts and emotions as part of ourselves but we are ruled by none of our base passions. Extremes are a weakness we Mayans are guided to conquer in are formative years.
Those of us who seek to compete with our neighbours in war occasionally meet to test themselves and the new martial ways we have developed in the art of killing other humans. Many die but the empire gains much from such excursions outside our lands.
Death is sad but has never been the end of existence but just a passageway to the beyond and though we may send them off, we do so with dignity and respect, never malice. For malice, anger and hate is a poison to the immortal soul.
This year 289 of us meet to go raid the neighboring Keto Kingdom for women and slaves. We expect to be met by no more than 2000 of them with clubs, spears or weapons of bronze fashioned by inferior artisans. Some of us will return, some of us won't, and through the entire process we will learn, be edified, live life, be more than what we are. Even in death we will have added to the whole that is the universe.
{DONG}
As we are about to embarked a sound like I've never heard permeates the air stopping the world in its tracks. It rings as if a toll has been rung and is heard throughout the Mayan kingdom.
'You as a people are ready to Ascend if you so choose,' It seems to say though no words have been heard by my ears.

We all suddenly understand as knowledge permeates our minds. There is more to this world than what we currently know, this world isn't even our ancestral home. We have reach a level of spirituality and learning that has surpassed all others in the world at this age. And thus we qualify to Ascend.
And we do, every single one of us. Leaving the earth with nothing but the clothes on our backs and the tools in our hands.
We Ascend to Gaia.

Sway of The Indus Valley
We are an old civilization flourishing between the newly occupied lands of Persia and the old but small people of Kemet.
We trade with India and Sumaria. Our people passing on our learning and spiritual knowledge to the eager Indian tribes and already at a level of chakra awareness that rivals the Ancients. We in the valley facilitate talks and trade amongst the great powers of the world while staying neutral and enlightened against violence even amongst the great rivalries of power in the modern world. None of the pharoahs, kings and queens dare touch us for we have become vital in the flow knowledge and trade facilitating the enrichment of all the world.
We have reach a level were as a people we are transcending the language barrier through crown chakra awareness alone. Our people are balanced in their interaction with the world. Inner balance promoting outer balance as we practice the shudra of self taught to us by the elders.
{Ding...}
'You as a people are ready to Ascend if you so choose,' something says to my mind. I stop to consider this as new knowledge is introduced into my mind.
I am made aware of things I before had no concept of in divine apiphany. Realization comes and many of us take the path to Ascendance without second thought.
Some remain, speaking of what they have seen and remaining with what knowledge of our history they have.

Void Breaker
Note: Sadly, this story is currently on hiatus :( Elizabeth Sayler had lost everything in the bombing of Reaver Stadium. Her career, her fame, her power — all of it vanished the moment she lost use of her legs. Now, she's beginning to lose hope of ever healing herself… until her world integrates into the Void. When the apocalypse comes in a flurry of System messages, everyone on earth is given a choice: give up what they value most in themselves, and acquire a path to their heart’s greatest desire. Most would hesitate, but for Liz? She has nothing to lose, and absolutely everything to gain. Armed with newfound powers in a world teeming with monsters, she’s determined to not only survive, but to somehow break the Void’s endless assault. * * * This is a small note about the portrayal of disability in this story. As much research as I do and as many people as I ask, I will in the end only be able to understand a small portion of paraplegia and similar disabilities. Therefore, if there is anything particularly disrespectful, please do not hesitate to contact me. I always intended to portray disability in a respectful way in this story, but please know that Liz as a character does not start out with a healthy view of disability. This is intentional, and a large part of her character development comes from this view changing as she learns. Disability is not something she simply "discards" at the beginning of the story, but an ongoing theme and a part of her journey.

Epoch: An NPC's Tale
Epoch is a slow-burn LitRPG/Gamelit novel that tells the story of Luke, later named Lucius—a natural inhabitant of the game-like realm of Elyssia where thousands upon thousands of detached, virtually unkillable entities known as the Players were suddenly introduced right after the dusk of the magnificent Age of Heroes. Shortly after the Players arrived, the balance of power in Elyssia instantly shifted. Kingdoms fell, wars were waged, alliances between races were made, and Lucius, after ten years of training in captivity, found himself being used as a pawn in a prophecy that he had no intention to fulfill. With aspirations and desires of his own, Lucius must find a way to cautiously adapt to the drastic changes in the very foundations of the realm after being sent 300 years into a future that was forever altered by the outcome of the war that his captors had lost and the Players won in a victory that resounded throughout the ages, all for a terrible price. Author's Note As an avid fan of the LitRPG genre myself, I wrote this novel with character progression, heavy Gamelit elements, and some degree of world-building in mind. If you like these, please feel free to give this novel a try. Oh, and the MC is also an NPC, in a sense. And wait, isn't this also an isekai story? Well, it's all a bit complicated to explain here. Maybe you should start reading now?
