《The American Heist》Forty Rounds

As Jack stalked up to his front door, he quickly but quietly pulled out his M1911 from his hip and grabbed his silencer from the front pocket of his jacket and screwed the slilncers onto his pistol.
When Jack stalked his way up to the front door, he could hear low conversation being taken between a voice he recognizes and an unknown person. When Jack quietly walked through his open door, he knew who the first person was, Connor. Dude is more quiet than hand communication but doesn't know when to shut up when it comes to working on the job. Jack thought as he walked his way into the living room. As for Connor's friend, Jack doesn't have a clue as to who it is.
"You think Jack will be upset if he knew what you did to his restroom" said the unknown figure as she bended over pick up a glass vase. Just then, the glass shattered into pieces as a white flash blinds the room for less than a second. Both Connor and the unknown figure spin around to aim their guns at Jack.
"Hello Connor, don't you think that tonight is a bit Ironic?" Jack said with a smirk."I just broke into Kaz's apartment too talk to him and I come home to find myself with a set of uninvited guest's". Jake sarcastically said. "To what do I owe the pleasure too and what did you do to my restroom?" Jack asked.
"Hey Jack", Connor said as he lowered his weapon down and signaled his partner to do the same. "I wanted to find the tape of the time we went to the range and scored forty hits with the forty rounds." Connor said. "Nobody outside the range believes that I scored a hawk eye." Said Connor. "I also had to drop the kids off at the pool, hope you're not too upset about it" Connor said.

"Well the tape is on the shelf second from the top all the way to the left". Jack said. "Now why are you really here and who's your friend thats trying to climb the shelf?" Jack asked firmly.
"If I'm going to be honest, we were trying to steal any cash you had". Haven't been able to get any good jobs for awhile now." Connor said as he seathed his firearm and stood up. "My friend over there is Morgan, we've been dating for about four months now." Connor said as Morgan walked back from the shelf and stood slightly behind Connor.
"So you need a job?" Jack asked as the smirk turned slowly into a grin. "Yes, I need a job". Connor said and pulled out his phone and handed it to Morgan. "Morgan can you go wait in the car please". Morgan started to walk for the door just before Jack stopped her. Morgan looked at Jack then back to Connor trying to read the situation.
"Connor this job requires all the hands I can trust." I want to know if Morgan would be interested in doing this job. "Morgan would you like to hear my proposal? Without saying a word Morgan takes off her helmet and un folds her hair. "Sure, wouldn't hurt to hear it." Morgan said as she leaned up against the wall so she can look at who ever is talking. "What's the job and who's the contractor?" Morgan asked.
"The contractor is myself, and I'm going to breaking into Fort Knox" Jack said as he looked Connor in the eyes. Morgan started laughing and bent over from losing her compouse "That's the best joke I've heard, break into Fort Knox." Morgan said as she laughed at the proposal. After laughing for a couple solid seconds, she notices that Connor and Jack both have a serious face. "You're serious about this?" Morgan asked shyly.

"Yes, I am serious about this." Jack said while staring Connor in the eye.
"I'm personally not going for the gold, but I have a plan to help you guy get the gold." Jack said. "I've already got a plan, but I need as much help as possible." Jack said as he looked between Morgan and Conner. "I've already talked to Kaz, he's in." Jack said. "Got the best pilot in the hemisphere and now I'm hoping to have the best ghost for the job."
"I'm in, when is the kickoff?" Connor said. "Connor what the hell are you thinking?" Morgan blurted out loud. "Could we talk about it before you sign us up for a suicide mission?" Morgan said firmly. "Morgan I said I was in, not us. Jack made a proposition to both of us. You can decline the job if you want no role in it Connor said calmy. "Jack if you don't mind me asking, if you're not going for the gold, then what are you going after? Connor asked cautiously."
"I don't need your answers right now. I'll contact you in a week and see weither you're in or out." Jack said as he ignored Connor's question and walked past Morgan to the door that led outside. Just before Jack was about to leave he turned around and looked at Connor.
"Does Morgan know what happend in Caracuss Connor?" Jack asked and turned around without waiting for a reply. Jack stepped out into the fresh air of a midnight breeze and called for a taxi.
When the taxi showed up, the driver asked Jack where he would like to go. Jack said St.Louis and slid the driver a hundred dollar bill. "The faster we get there the better." Jack said. Next thing he knew, he was laying down in the backseat and about to fall asleep knowing its going to be a long drive.

Adagio of the Enlightened
The Elders will tell you the stories and lore. Of our ancestors, their deeds, and of the foes of yore. They will praise to you the chariot, and how it flew to the stars. How it stole the sun's light and slew the night’s roar. The Shamans will tell you the tales of their wisdom. Their wars on schism, and the unlettered world of ours before. Perhaps they will sing you the songs of what our clans' ancient customs tore. Poems of how our ancestors took what the discs had offered them, the manna and the mundane, and made it more. The kings will tell you of the follies, the sins, and the anecdotes of all our ancestors' wrongs. They will curse to you their names, the Ender of Fate and the Ruined Song. How they had dug up the hearts of the discs, euchred its relics, and blasphemed its prophecies, with oracles withdrawn. But they will only tell you the legends, recount the myths, and sing the allegories washed ashore. The Elders, the Shamans, and the kings can only retell what the storytellers of their own time had voiced. What they have read in books or heard in the minstrels' songs they adore. They don't know what really happened. They were never there. They can't tell you how our ancestors slew the angels from the sky, and sent them back to where they belonged. How they poisoned our minds, and made our people slothful and feeble, with the reforms they had undergone. But I can.I can tell you how the Ender of Fate severed destiny's strings, weakened them, and weaved them to our feeble flesh and souls.I can tell you how the Ruined song razed the heavens with her blood-stained melody, and reshaped our hell into utopia, with the deaths she deplored.Because I was there. I can tell you the truth, with my virtue strong. ----> Disclaimer: This will be a slow-burn, character-driven, non-harem, slice-of-life web novel with cultivation and kingdom-building elements. Horizon
A man from Earth, just an average Joe you passed by on the street. He reincarnates into a fantasy world, but the guy has read and watched fantasy stories before... lots of them, and so he makes the stories his spirit guide. This is his story in a western style cultivation-ish world. A world where dog eats dog. Where another, much larger dog, is always lurking around the corner to eat the survivor. Warning: The protagonist has negative views about heroes and villains, good and evil. He isn't too smart, alien way of thinking, and questionable moral. Depending on your point of view, he's rather crazy. You have been warned. Author note:Hello everyone, this is my first novel and English is not my native language please forgive the grammar. I wish to improve my craft so if you are willing to add criticisms or comments, it would be much appreciated. I hope you enjoy my story. The genre is intended for young-adult The cover isn't mine and I will take it down if the owner wished it.

Death Lives
When the universe is destroyed the avatar of death is reborn.Once an all powerful being but limited in scope, Death now has a chance to learn and grow.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------This is my first novel, please be critical of it where it needs to be. I'm not sure if there will be romance in the future. It is unlikely for the MC but perhaps I will have meaningful relationships between side characters that will be worth adding the tag.The Mature tag is simply because there will be killing, descriptive scenes, and more. There will be no described rape at all in my story, anything of the like will be merely alluded to but not talked about in any matter if at all. Please enjoy and thank you.
