《Dungeon of books》Magic Rocks that Cleanse the Dark - Chapter 26

Pov - Umbra
That was fucking awesome, so many abilities getting sent around without a care in the world. Sure, The Rogue almost died but who cares, and the climax was the wolf sending 10s of shadow weapons towards the Rogue. It is a shame that the wolf's howl of determination woke the other adventurers up.
Though whatever that Rogue did near the end was fantastic. He exuded the concept of Pride, or at least a diluted version of it. It is my bad that I was unable to capture any of the concept of the Pride that was exuded, only its downgraded forms like arrogance and confidence. But that was only a small part of what I actually gained, it was so big you could call it a revolutionary in my eyes. The revolutionary idea is that since concepts can degrade into weaker components, which must mean that there are ways to gain or evolve concepts into a higher form. I need to write this down under the must research category.
However, before I was able to write it down on the wall of things to do, I heard Akasha speak out, “That was quite enjoyable to watch.”
I focus my mind out of the demi-plane and onto Akasha, just to find out that she is holding the Kobold king: The Mines Vol.1 and staring into it. Knowing that I cannot see where her view lies, I move my consciousness until it's over her shoulder, and what I find shocks me. From what I could tell, she was looking down onto the adventures through the pages of the book. I wonder when Akasha learned how to do this instead of getting sucked into the demi-plane.
“Hey Akasha, when did you learn how to open a viewing portal into the Demi-plane?” I mentally question Akasha, curiosity leaking into my mental voice.
“I found out how to do it early on from my connection with you. It was quite simple.” Akasha speaks out, with a voice that sounds monotone and as if it was being read off a script.
“Huh, why did you not tell me that you could do it earlier?” I say feeling apprehensive about my current bond with her.
Akasha then begins laughing out at my antics, “The only reason I did not tell you was that there was no need to. Plus, nothing interesting was going on in the past.” Alaska says, this time having a bit of emotion in her voice.

I let out a sigh, now knowing that my personal information box is not leaving any time soon. Though if she were to leave, and I became stuck on something or a big threat came in, I would be powerless. I hate the idea of being helpless and having to go with the flow. I soon climbed out of my thoughts to go back and talk to Akasha because it has felt like a long time since we had a good long conversation. But when I got my sight back onto Akasha, I found her reading a book called ἐλευθερία the one who stole the throne of freedom’. (ἐλευθερία: Greek god of freedom)
Like what is that name, I'm pretty sure half of those letters belong in a math problem not a fucking name. I feel tempted to ask Akasha about what the hell she is reading. I then remember how much of a lunatic she is when it comes to books and knowledge, so I immediately scratch out that idea.
After deciding that life is preferable to death, I move my conciseness back into the Demi-plane to find a sight that I was not expecting. All the Adventurers were standing around the Priestess attempting to heal the Rogue, but even with a brief glance, I can tell that something is horribly wrong with the Rogue. The Rogue himself was still passed out, but there were jagged lines of black spreading from where he was hit with that shadow weapon the Shadow Wolf shooting at him with. The Priestess in particular seems to be failing at keeping the black lines at bay.
Wanting to get a better look at what ales the Rogue, I move closer, then closer until I was practically in the wound. I then realize what is wrong with the Rogue when the buff lion lady says “Fuck, I never expected a mutt to have an affinity like darkness”
Like a light bulb, the thought suddenly got flicked on in my mind. Darkness must be the black jagged lines. So in turn, darkness must be something like poison, but the magical kind. I wonder, how does darkness magic act as a poison, does it perhaps erode the body or does it assimilate the body into a Darkness creature.
After moving my consciousness even closer to the wound and still not discovering anything on how darkness magic affects the Rogue. Since I could not discover anything about this, I decide to concentrate my [Domain Sense] on the wound.

What I have to say is, oh my god, the darkness magic is not eating away at the body. In fact, it does not even attack the body, it assimilates the Mana of a person and transforms it into a Dark attribute. What a terrifying attack!
Well, the Rogue dead. I don’t have the slightest idea on how anyone is supposed to survive any darkness attack if it just eats away at Mana like that. After completing that thought train within my mind, I move my consciousness away from the wound in back onto the adventurers, that are surrounding the Rogue.
When I came back to the conversation that is going on between the adventurers, I was able to catch the tail end of it.
“There really is nothing I can do!” the Priestess shouts out towards the swordsman, sadness explicit in those words.
“For fuck's sake, I can’t believe I am wasting such a valuable treasure on a fucking side effect!” The Swordsman shouts back, anger filling his voice.
“There really is nothing she can do. Celestia does not even have the [Cleanse Mana] skill.” the spell caster says, interfering in the shouting match.
The Swordsman looked like he was about to shout for a moment, then shakes his head. The anger that is still evident on his face soon turns to regrets, as if he was losing a great treasure. With that look still on his face, he takes a stone that radiates light attribute like nothing I have seen before. It is an honest to god wonder how I was not able to sense it before. Then, as the swordsman brings the stone closer and closer to the wound, I see the swordsman's face become more filled with regret by the second.
When the stone finally touches the wound with the Dark attribute spreading from it, a bright light sinks away from the stone and into the Rogue. This bright light is so saturated with the light attribute that all the Dark attribute runs away from it like a coward. No, seriously, the Dark attribute ran away from it, keeping all the newly turned Mana with it.
I bring my sight away from the running darkness back to the adventurers, only to see the Swordsman crying and whispering about how it is not fair and that they should have sold it ages ago.
“Don’t worry, It's only a luminous Stone!” The tank lady yells out loud, cheerfulness filler her voice as if all that happened was a dream.
“What do you mean, it is just a luminous Stone? It's a fucking Lumen Stone!” The Swordsman yells back, anger filling his voice once more.
The tank on the other hand just laughs out, completely ignoring the anger that the swordsman is directing toward her. Yet, that did not catch my interest, instead, what caught it is the stone itself, because up till now I have not even thought about placing affinities in non-living objects. With this completely new discovery, I thought about all the affinities that I could currently use and how they could affect objects like stone or metal. This also brings up the idea, are their other materials more naturally inclined towards certain affinities. For example, Radium or Polonium would most likely be great conductors of Radiation affinity.
That also brings up another question, how many affinities are there? The last time I check my own affinities, I had a shit ton, most under 25%. Also, in what ways can I gain new affinities or even divine energy, cause that still is a huge problem that is holding me back from creating planes as big as a world or maybe a galaxy.
Even just the briefest of thoughts about the idea drew me in. By the time I realized that, I was just staring off into the distance, with metaphysical drool moving down my chin. Oh, and the adventurers all left towards the mine. I guess that is important, there are just so many new things to try out. I should get a journal to keep my notes and ideas in.
