《Abominable King》Chapter 224: Stress Relief Via Simulation (V)

A lone rider was sent off that next night, hoping that the two devils in between the two armies would not be able to see, hear, or notice them now that the morning star was far below the horizon. The rider made great speed, up until they noticed something in the night. Another mounted person was headed their way. This was odd because they had just reached the halfway mark between both their own army and the opposing one. This meant that either they were being watched and followed the whole time, or that the infidels also had the same idea, but in reverse.
Both men met face to face and looked each other over. Neither said a word, and after a few tense and somewhat awkward moments, the two parted ways, both continuing on their paths. Neither noticed, though, that their missions were already well known by their newest foe, and neither knew that they were merely giving that foe what they wanted.
…
The next few days were tense, as each time that night fell, another pair of riders set out on a curved path that would lead them to their old foe’s camp. Each time they did, the two riders would meet each other, act in a passive-aggressive manner, and then continue on their way. Eventually, without either force’s commanders ever meeting face to face, they managed to hammer out an agreement.
Two more days would pass before both forces massed, both facing each other with at least a mile of distance between them. In the middle, the two devils waited, acting as if they weren’t about to be hacked apart by the righteous few that stood against them.
Both sides advanced slowly, cautiously, patiently. Both had their own agendas, both of which were equal in callousness and hostility regarding their old foe. Each time one force moved closer, the other would slow down a bit, hoping that the members of the opposing religion would fail to notice and end up getting the shorter stick.

However, as both sides had the same rough agenda regarding the other, this ultimately resulted in both armies moving to engage in the world’s slowest pincer movement. Eventually, it would take a minute for both sides to move even a single step forward, and it was painfully obvious to both Christian and Muslim alike that the other was taking their goddamn time.
At which point, both realized that the other force more than likely wished for them to be a sacrifice to avoid unneeded casualties on their own sides. And this, more than anything else, became the final nail in the coffin. Both armies halted, turned, and walked back to their camps, irritated as all hell that the other would not play by their rules.
But they neglected to remember one simple thing.
Their newest pair of opponents would not let them run away or give in so easily. If they would not be given their desired fight, then they would get their kicks in another way. With their backs turned, neither the followers of Christ nor the followers of Allah noticed that they were about to be attacked, and not by their religious counterparts. Their only warning came far too late, and that warning came in the form of the unmistakable sensation of pure malice that surged from behind them.
By the time they turned to face their doom, it was already too late to try and resist. What followed was a massacre on a scale that neither side had ever experienced. Not a single blow fell upon their attackers, as Kain tore the Muslims apart with horrific amounts of brutality and Alexis reduced the Christians to shredded gore and mangled cadavers.
By the time night had fallen, the battlefield was as silent as the grave, with only two beings left standing. As the two rulers stood amongst the dead, the simulation ended and thrust the two of them into yet another emulated reality.

There would be many more simulations after that which would be reduced to a similar state, and after a solid two weeks of simulations, the two rulers were finally satisfied with their body count. The White Room returned to its natural state, and the two exited, feeling refreshed and ready to get back to business.
…
Zero Noir reviewed the footage he had gathered. What had taken Kain and Alexis a few weeks of time had, in actuality, only been a single day. Like that knockoff Hyperbolic Time Chamber that he had made a while ago, the White Room also distorted the passage of time, although not to such a potent degree. Regardless, he now had weeks of recordings to do with as he saw fit, and while some of that had been streamed, the vast majority of it had yet to be processed.
Still, it would eventually see the light of day, and when it did it would entice many more people to rely on his dungeon. Although he himself would never interact with anyone in person if he could help it, the myriad settings would be useful. He already made a killing off of the dungeon alone. Adding in the capabilities of the White Room would mean even more easy money coming his way.
He practically salivated at the prospects, although, because he was a machine, the most he could do was pretend to do so. With what he predicted would come, he could afford to get a lot more merchandise from the outside. While he could easily use the dungeon to get him those things, there was something to be said about getting those wanted items with actual money. Plus, he was contributing to the economy, all while offering a valued service that no one else could provide.
He was happy that he had been called to make this for another reason, though. The White Room would allow him to test out new ideas without relying on real people. Plus, it provided him with the ability to indulge in his kinks without harming anyone. He was absolutely positive that a certain clientele would be chomping at the bit for that kind of stuff, but whether or not that would be allowed was a different matter entirely.
Time would tell if his bank account would swell as much as he predicted, but he was, at the very least, going to make a killing one way or another, and all without having to talk to anyone! Truly, he was living an Asocial Introvert’s wet dream.
